35 Summer Camp (IV)

I couldn't sleep last night when the kiss affects me. It's just a simple kiss but why am I feeling this? It's not my first time receiving a kiss from Taehyung yet it's unusual than before. It has an electric shock coming from my lips which makes my heart inflate.

"I forgot about what I felt before when Taehyung kissed me at the river," I murmur as I lay on my bed while staring at the open window.

"What are you murmuring about?" Jungmin asks as he crouches on the edge of my bed.

"I felt something unusual when Taehyung brushed his lips into mine." I switch my position before glimpsing at my brother.

"You know that I want Taehyung, what I don't know if I like him or not." He frowns when I confess my confusing emotion at him.

"I thought you liked him? The way you were devastated when glancing at Taehyung and Amia at the campus and now you're telling me that you don't know if you like him or not?" He rants as he pushes my head away.

"He gave me a mixed-signal at that time. He kissed me at the river then pushed me away from him. Then one day he's with Amia.  What do you want me to feel? Be happy with them?"

"No, I didn't say that to be happy with them." He responds but before I reply to him, he frowns as if it's something wrong.

"Wait, did I hear it right? He kissed you at the river?! When was that!?" I groan when realizing that I already slip my secret at Jungmin.

"I-it's nothing." I laugh awkwardly while scratching my nape.

"You're complaining about the kissing scene when you already kissed Taehyung." He says sternly while crossing his arms. I smile at him as I wrap my arms around his shoulder.

"I was anxious about the kiss. Besides, it's been a long time since he kissed me so I forgot what's the feeling of being kissed by a handsome man. Also, we don't have any relationship, he just wants to make it up to me since he hurt me."

"Hmmm okay, I'm not going to argue about that. Let's go! We need to help the staff for summer camp." He exclaims as he stands up and goes outside the cabin, leaving me behind.

Within a minute, I walk outside the cabin and help the staff to set up the surprise prize for the champion and the consolation prize for the participants. While Taehyung, Minseok, and Mingyu are working on the woods that will be used for the campfire event. Jungmin, Jinwoo, and Daewool working on the certificate that will be given to the kids.

I place all the mats around the campfire so the kids along with the counselors and staff have bonded with each other. I step inside the hallway to fetch some pillows and blankets.

"Min, you need some help?" Taehyung asks. I smile at him and nod. He grabs the blankets as I got some pillows.

"Are you all done chopping the woods?" He hums as he places down the blankets.

"It's very tiring since we need to trek the woods here and it's very heavy."

"That's why you need to build up so you could be stronger," I smirk at him while crossing my arms. He gasps at what I said.

"I have toned muscle. I can show you if you want." He walks closer to me, striving to wrap his arms around me but before he does, I run away from him.

"Get back here, you little!" He shouts as he chases me.

"No!" I exclaim while laughing. He laughs and runs as fast as he can to reach me.

I squeak when he reaches me and heaves me up and places my body on his left shoulder.

"No! Put me down!" I exclaim as I giggle too hard while slamming his back.

"No! You're mocking me for being skinny so I'll show you how strong I was." He shifts my position and carries me around his arms.

"Okay, fine. You're very strong so please put me down." I plead as I wrap my arms around his neck to prevent me from falling.

He hums and positions me to the mat and lays on a side position beside me. He leans his head into his palm as his elbow touches on the mat while looking at me.

"What?" He shakes his head as he brushes the strands of my hair.

"You're so beautiful." I avert his eyes contact as I face away to hide my fuss yet he touches my chin and slowly moves my face. My heart thumps when our eyes meet. I'm not going to lie, his smile will annihilate my heart.

"Even if you're not smiling, you are glowing like a diamond."

"A diamond?" I ask. He hums as he responds to my question.

"You are like a diamond that shines through my eyes. Like a precious diamond." I bite my lips to refrain from smiling since his sweet-talking affects me.

"I want to see your fa—" Taehyung cuts off when Jinwoo and Jungmin yell at us and throw their bodies at us.

"Why did you two do that!? We're having a moment!" Taehyung scolds them and hits their heads.

"That hurts!" Jinwoo wines as he strokes his head.

Taehyung glares at them but they just smile and run away as Taehyung chases them as an act of revenge while leaving me behind.

Then, I slowly release a heavy sigh to calm my heart.

"They're right on time. If they don't appear, I'll be passed out." I whisper to myself.

_________

Later that night, all the kids sing together when Taehyung plays his guitar. I can't keep my eyes off him as he's very perfect with his blonde hair along with his shiny blue eyes as if it's a paraiba tourmaline.

"You're staring at Taehyung," Daewool whispers. I turn beside me to face him.

"Am I that obvious?" He nods.

"I can't keep my eyes off him. His eyes glimmered at night." He chuckles when I reply to him.

"You know, we lived in the same apartment for so many years, I didn't see his eyes as glimmered as it's now. But when he looked at you, his eyes became a piece of precious jewelry."

"I-I don't understand."

"You will." He pats my shoulder before standing up and goes to his cabin. I take a glimpse at Taehyung, who's playing his guitar, singing along with the kids while looking at me. I bestow him a smile when he smiles at me.

After his performance, he offers his hand to hold mine as I gladly accept it and stand up. He pushes me away from the campfire and walks to the small pond.

My eyes travel to the small boat that has a blanket along with it and at the left bottom of the boat, there's a vintage lamp as the light for the boat. I take a glance at Taehyung, who keeps staring at me.

"Did you do this?" He nods and he pulls me closer to him to follow him at the boat.

He paddles for us to get move until reaching the middle of the pond.

"What are we doing here?" I implore as my eyes wander the place.

"I just want to see the beauty of the night skies with you so I prepared this whole thing."

"Really? That's very sweet. Thank you for making this for me."

"Did I tell you that I'll make it up with you? So I was thinking that this day was the first day of our journey."

"So this was the start, okay." He nods.

"After the examination, I'll take you somewhere if you allowed me."

"I'll come with you wherever you want." He smiles

"Min, can you close your eyes?"

"Why?" I ask.

"Just close your eyes." I sigh and nod.

I close my eyes without knowing what's going on. I raise my eyebrows when hearing a loud whistle coming from Taehyung.

"You can open your eyes now." I slowly unearth my eyes and I don't expect what I'm seeing.

My mood lifts as my heart flutters when seeing the very bright sky lantern from the sky. The tears escape from my eyes when I feel overwhelmed inside my heart.

"Do you like it?" He asks me as he caresses my cheeks using his thumbs and wipes the tears before holding my hands.

"I love it. It's so beautiful Tae." I mumble as my eyes never leave the lantern.

"I'm so glad that you love my surprise."

"Thank you so much, Tae," I utter and give him a content smile.
