32 Summer Camp (I)
After hours of travel, we reach the summer camp which is owned by Jinwoo's parents. Since they don't have enough staff to guide the kids for the activities, we have to counsel them. And I don't know how we will compress our time to practice our play knowing that our professor scheduled the exam for the next 4 days. We also need to buy or rent our costumes when our professor informs us that it's included in the criteria.
"Really, Jinwoo? Do you think I'll be participating in this activity? I'm not going to set aside my beauty rest!" I hear Daewool rants behind me but my focus is in the place.
The place has 20 cabins that could use 5 or 6 people per cabin and around the place, there's a lot of enormous trees that cover the heat from the sun, a bench place beside the trees. As I wander further, my eyes spark when seeing the campsite that can use for the activities. We can relax at the campsite with friends and mostly with kids.
And miles away from the cabins, there's a pond for fishing and the activities. I feel the fresh air crossing through my body that makes my body shivers. I cover my body to protect from the cold breeze.
"This place reminds me of my childhood," I utter out of nowhere. My eyes narrow when realizing that I don't have memories of my childhood.
"I merely know myself, why do I tell myself that this place reminds me of my childhood." I laugh awkwardly.
"What are you thinking?" A familiar voice speaks behind me so I turn my body to face him. I smile at him when I glimpse at Taehyung.
"It's about my childhood," I mumble as my eyes admire the place.
"What is it about?" He asks as he holds my hand and lightly pushes me to the bench as we sit in unison.
"I don't know actually. It's blurred when I'm trying to regain my memories but nothing happens." I explain to him. He hums as an answer.
"Don't push yourself too hard. When you can't remember your memories then try again later. It's very tough when you're forcing yourself to reminisce about your memories." He mumbles as his voice soothes my ears which I don't know why.
As the wind rushes to our body, I smell the forest scent coming from Taehyung. 'That familiar scent. What is that?' I ask myself as I keep glimpsing at Taehyung. He turns his face at me and tilts his head in confusion.
"Forest scent," I blurt out.
"W-what?" He stutters when he realizes what I just said.
"Forest scent. It's coming from you." He clears his throat as he scratches his nape before looking away.
"I...We should go back to the cabins. I think they are waiting for us." He mutters as he hurriedly stands at the bench and almost runs back to the cabin leaving me behind, dumbfound.
"What just happened?" I ask myself but I just shrug it off like it didn't happen. But before I stand from the bench, I hear a female voice coming from nowhere.
'Be careful, my lovely daughter.'
I look around to search for the voice but no one is found. All of a sudden, I feel tremble around my body as someone hugging me and my tears voluntarily rush through my cheeks which I don't have any reason to cry. I sit on the bushes as I hug my knees when my knees feel unstable.
"Minsoo? Are you okay?" Jungmin implores as he strokes my back. Then, my eyes glance at him and his eyes widen when seeing me crying. He hurriedly nuzzles around me to comfort me.
"What's wrong?" He asks as he continues stroking my back to calm me.
"S-someone calls me l-lovely d-daughter and I don't k-know why I am crying," I whisper.
"Euphemia," I add. He loosens the embrace to wipe all the dry and wet tears that rushes through my cheeks. He gives me a sweet smile when he knows that his smile calms me down.
"Minnie, do you know who's Euphemia?" He then shakes his head as an answer. He lifts me to stand and he pushes me lightly back to the cabin.
"Minnie?" I call him but he doesn't answer so I let it slide since he answers my question.
What confuses me, he's being serious when hearing the name 'Euphemia'. Who's she? Is she related to us? Or to me? But the question remains itself.
As we get back to the cabin, I see them gathering around the hallways. All the counselors and staff sat on the chair. I walk fast when they are waiting for us and sit beside Taehyung.
"Okay, since we're here. We should start the meeting before the kids come to the summer camp." Jinwoo's mother announces.
"The summer camp is for the kids who want to experience the summer activities and this activity will be 3 days. The first day will be only interaction with their respective groups and indoor activities such as drawing, chess, and most important is cooking. The second day will be outdoor activities and the third day is a campfire and awarding. We have 40 kids that would participate in the activities so every counselor will handle 5 kids per group. Other staff will be doing the props. After that, you can practice for your play. Any question?" Jinwoo's mother explains.
"Can we just practice today for the play? Since there's 10 staff that will be doing the props." Daewool inquiries.
"Of course. You can use the stage to practice." Jinwoo's mother mutters as she smiles at Daewoo.
"After our practice, we can help with other props," I inform.
She nods and signs us to go to the stage for our practice. We all stride on the stage to discuss what will be our plan for the play.
"Taehyung, you will be Maleficent and Minsoo will be Aurora, is that clear?" We all nod.
"But there's a plot twist, Maleficent will fall in love with Aurora since Maleficent is a guy." We glance at each other as I feel anxious when hearing that Maleficent will be the guy. The role of Maleficent is usually a girl that gives the curse to Aurora.
"Daewool, you will be the best friend of Maleficent then Minseok is the prince that Daewool will be his husband. Mingyu, Seojun, and I will be the fairy Godmother and Jinwoo will be the prince that falls in love with Minsoo." Jungmin assigns us for the play. We all nod agreeing to him.
"So Jinwoo, your cue is when you see Minsoo inside the forest while getting some fruits. Okay?" Jinwoo thumbs up.
"Okay, let's start! Taehyung and Daewool will be meet in the middle of the forest where Daewool gets hurt by the wolves on the forest and Taehyung will save him from the wolves and Taehyung will cure Daewool's cut and after that Daewool always visits Taehyung and becomes a friend." Jungmin clarifies.
"Question. How will Minseok and I have a child if we both men?" Daewool inquires.
"We're not doing some love action so it's fine. Let's pretend that you are a woman since your costumes are in woman clothes." Jungmin comments.
Daewool gaps his lips when knowing that he'll be wearing a ballgown.
"What??! No, I-I can't wear a gown!" Daewool complains yet no one says anything since it'll be hilarious if he's wearing the form. Also, Daewool has a super pale skin tone which compares to the skin tone of a typical vampire that is seen in movies.
"That's fine Daewool. It suits you since you have a petite body and a pale skin tone. You are almost like a woman." Taehyung teases Daewool so he gives Taehyung a hard smack to his head.
"THAT HURTS DAEWOOL! COME HERE! I WILL BE GETTING MY REVENGE!" We laugh when Taehyung chases Daewool like he's getting his revenge on Daewool.
"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE TAEHYUNG!" We all wince when Taehyung hovers Daewool at the floor and hits his shoulder multiple times so Jungmin. Then, Jinwoo stops their silliness so we could start practicing our play.
"I heard that you mention Euphemia to Jungmin," Minseok says out of nowhere as he sits beside me. I place down my feet and swing it back and forth
"How did you know?"
"I just heard it." I nod as I keep glimpsing my feet.
"What is it about? Do you know anything?"
"I heard that 'Euphemia' is very important to the Luna Family." I glance at him as my eyes narrow when hearing about Luna.
"What? How did you know about Luna?" I implore again as I intrigue by the story of Luna.
"They...they are very special to us especially Taehyung."
"I heard that from him when we met at the mansion of the Luna Family," I explain as my eyes keep on Taehyung, who's now laughing so hard.
"So you see the mansion. That's interesting. How did you know that place? As far as I know, no one dares to get inside the mansion."
"Youngjae gives me the address when he wants me to talk with him so I went there but I didn't know that danger came to me. The bunny masks chased me there." I inform as I glance at Minseok. He bites his lips as his hand clench and his aura darkens like he's very furious.
"Minseok?" I pat his shoulder to get his attention. He flinches when he feels my hand on his shoulder and his aura back to normal.
"Sorry, I didn't know that Youngjae did that to you."
"I know. That's why I didn't give him a chance to explain." He nods as he pats my shoulder and smiles at me.
"We will investigate bunny masks and I promise that we will do our best to protect you. To protect you from them."
"Thank you, Minseok."
