38 Sleeping Beauty Play
I feel anxious when our play is next in line. Jungmin keeps telling me to relax since it'll be affected for the play but I can't help to feel nervous when it's my first time acting on the stage. What made me nervous is the kissing part. I'm not ready for that! Jungmin asserts that it's unnecessary to rehearse that part since it's very easy.
But for me, it's not simple! Never! My heart can't do that!
"I call for Jungmin's members! Please go to the stage for the play." Our professor announces backstage.
"Let's go," Jungmin told us before going on the stage. My heart throbs when seeing all the audience and my body backing out of the stage.
"Shh. It's fine, I'm here for you." Taehyung whispers to my ear to soothe me. Thus, I nod and take a deep breath.
Shortly, Jungmin starts narrating the scenes.
Once upon a time, there was a boy, who lived in the village and the boy named Daewool. He was very curious about the mystic forest located near the village. He went to the forest to check the mystic forest but when he reached the place, he heard a growl coming from somewhere.
"What was that? Is somebody there?"
And Daewool got stunned when the wolves got his attention.
"D-don't h-hurt me"
Daewool pleaded but the wolves didn't give him a chance to run. They attacked Daewool and had a big scratch on his chest that could Daewool passed out. Meanwhile, Taehyung was crossing out through the mystic forest and he smelt the blood coming from somewhere. When he saw the wolves around the unconscious man, he divulged his dark aura that could frighten the wolves.
"Leave that man alone and search for another victim."
The wolves ran away from Taehyung as he reached the man and asked, "Are you okay, young man?"
He sighed as he lifted an unconscious body and went to the mystic forest. Taehyung did an enchantment to clean his wound. The small fairies flew in Taehyung's direction to warn him of the man who he just saved.
"Taehyung, you can't save someone you don't know. Leave the body out of the mystic forest after cleaning his wounds." Minseok warned whilst his eyes never left the mere human.
"No, Minseok. I can't leave his body when the wolves are around the forest." Taehyung replies.
"He's a mere human Taehyung. You shouldn't place the man's body inside the mystic forest." Then Mingyu asserted.
"I know. I'll place his body near his village so he'll be safe at the wolves."
The fairies release a deep sigh in defeat and said, "Do as you wish Taehyung."
Shortly, Taehyung, along with the unconscious body, flew to the near village to place the man's body. Daewool felt the wind crossing to his body that made him wake up. He flinched on Taehyung's body when he saw himself on the air.
"Don't move or you'll fall."
Taehyung grinned at the man as he flew down to place the man on the ground.
"A-are you the famous M-maleficent?"
Taehyung nodded as a reply to his question. Daewool widened his eyes when Maleficent was in front of him.
"That's amazing! I'm Daewool, by the way."
"I'm Taehyung." He smiled at the young man.
"Thank you for saving me from the wolves."
"It's my pleasure to help you."
Daewool nodded to him but before he went back to his village, he smiled at him and said, "I'll visit you tomorrow and give a small reward for saving me." Taehyung nodded.
Daewool visits Taehyung almost every day, they become best friends and inseparable. The fairies were very anxious when Taehyung authorized the young man to enter the mystic forest but they didn't have a choice when seeing him very happy and in love with the man. Taehyung became miserable when Daewool didn't visit him from the mystic forest.
"You can't fly to the village Taehyung! You're risking your life!" The fairy pleads him not to go.
"I know but I can't just sit here, waiting for him to visit me. What will I do if something bad happened to him?" The fairy sighed.
"Nothing bad happened to him, I promise that."
Taehyung went out of the mystic forest to clear his mind. As he sat underneath the tree, he smelt familiar from far.
"Daewool?" He appeared from nowhere as he smiled at Taehyung. He ran to the man and gave him a big hug.
"I thought I lost you." Taehyung pleaded but Daewool didn't hug back.
"Taehyung, we should stop seeing each other."
"W-what? Why?" Daewool sighed as he guided him to sit beside him.
"I-I'm getting married." He announced. Taehyung froze when hearing his love was getting married. He backed away but Daewool stopped him.
"I'm sorry Taehyung. I met this young princess when I saved her from the bad guys. She wanted me to marry her so I accepted it."
"I-I thought you… love me." Taehyung's tears escaped from his eyes when he knew that he felt deceived.
"I-I d-don't love you. I-I just saw you as my friend. I'm sorry Taehyung. Goodbye." Daewool left him alone, betrayed, and hurt.
Taehyung was very furious when his only love, who's getting married to the young princess. He stormed out and went inside the forest. The forest gloom when Taehyung's feeling was dark, which affects the bloom of the mystic forest. The fairies and other esoteric creatures were terrified when seeing Taehyung furious.
"T-Taehyung?"
"Don't talk with me fairies!" The fairies got shocked when Taehyung snapped.
"From now on, No one can get out of the mystic forest and meet the mere humans!" The fairies got furious when Taehyung announced his decision so they flew out of the mystic forest and had a peaceful life.
After a year, he got out of the mystic forest when he heard the announcement that the king had a beautiful daughter, who's throwing a party for her first birthday.
Taehyung went to the palace with a smirk on his lips when seeing the people terrified at him. He reached Daewool, who's very astounded at him.
"W-what are you doing here?" Daewool asked.
"I heard that you have a daughter, who's one year old so I'm here to give her a gift."
"No! Y—"
"Shhh, my gift is precious." The fairies tried to cover the baby but he threw them away.
"What a lovely baby. My gift was you'll be a fine woman and every man could fall in love with her. But at her 16th birthday, she will prick on the thorn of the rose, that leads onto her sleep death!"
"NO! TAEHYUNG GIVE THAT BACK! PLEASE! I'LL DO ANYTHING. PLEASE!" Taehyung turned around to face Daewool.
"So pathetic. Okay, you pleaded so politely. She can wake up but only in true love kissed." Taehyung smirked at them and went out of the palace.
After Taehyung cursed the princess, they strived to step the princess away from the roses and hid on everyone.
Taehyung kept gazing at the girl, taking care of her when the fairies were being useless. He was grinning when the princess became a lovely woman.
Meanwhile, Minsoo looked at Taehyung and smiled at him. Taehyung got flustered and walked away but she reached his hand.
"Where are you going?"
"Out." Taehyung didn't look at the young girl.
"I know who you are. You were always taking care of me so thank you very much." Minsoo smiled at Taehyung.
After that, they became very intimate with each other, to the point that Minsoo felt something with the man. She felt like a very happy woman when she's with Taehyung.
When she went to the mystic forest, Minsoo noticed the young man lost in the forest so she went to him and asked,
"Are you lost?" The young man froze when seeing a beautiful woman in front of her.
"Y-yes I am. I'm looking for the Palace of King Daewool."
"Over there. Just straight that path and you can see his palace."
"Thank you. I'm Prince Jinwoo."
"Minsoo."
Taehyung noticed that the prince always visited Minsoo and gave some gifts. He sighed as he felt his heart clenched when seeing the woman, very happy with him.
Minsoo felt dying when she didn't see Taehyung around the forest. She kept asking about him but no one knows where he went.
"Where are you, my love. I can't live without your presence. My beloved Taehyung." Minsoo hugged her knees and cried hysterically. Prince Jinwoo clenched his fist when Minsoo loved someone.
"If you can't be mine, then I'll give the best gift for you, my love." Prince Jinwoo went out of the forest.
Minsoo hugged herself all day when she's very lost. The fairies cheered her up since today was her birthday but she didn't even care if Taehyung was nowhere to be found.
Then, she got out of their house, ignoring the fairies calling for her. Minsoo got into the mystic forest and fed all the wolves in the forest. Prince Jinwoo went from her direction, as his smile never left to his lips.
Subsequently, Minsoo noticed his presence and the wolves ran away from them. "Minsoo, my love, I give this flower to you as a sign of my undying love." Prince Jinwoo handed the thorned rose at her.
"Oh Prince Jinwoo, I can't accept the flower, if I do, I'm accepting your love. I'm sorry but I have someone in my heart."
"My love, I'll accept my rejection if you accept the lovely rose."
As Minsoo touched the thorned rose, her fingers got pricked on the thorn, suddenly her body felt heavy as her mind became gloomy.
"Sleep well, my love." As Prince Jinwoo left the unconscious body, Taehyung felt the curse inside her heart and hurriedly found Minsoo in the forest. When she saw her laying on the ground, he rushed to her body.
"Minsoo, my beloved, please don't leave me. I'm sorry if I left you alone. I thought you'll be happy if I leave you and be with Prince Jinwoo. I'm sorry, my beloved, I wish I could break the curse." Taehyung hugged the unconscious body. He recalled the exemption of the curse.
"True love kiss."
And when Taehyung leans his face to mine. My eyes open when Jungmin suddenly stops narrating the scene. The audience claps as if they perceive the play is finished. We take a glance at each other when the play halts the kissing part.
We all go to the front and bow to the audience and step inside the backstage.
"What happened?" I ask Jungmin.
"Someone hurled the apple from your direction that could almost hit Taehyung."
Abruptly, I frown when someone wants to stop the play. Who could that be? And so, I look around and my eyes wrinkle when Youngjae glances from our direction, clasping the apple.
