73 It's All My Fault

Araqiel's POV

"I will come for you, my love. I won't let them kill you. I promise that." I murmur. 

I sigh while glancing outside, striving to search for a hint if someone will appear yet nothing is found. There's no hint of a splash scattered glass from the window, no sign of a paper that could lead us where they kidnap Feaunry. 

"F*ck! I didn't know it was going to happen! It's all my fault! Why didn't I guard her closer to me?!" I groan, heaving my hair with my hands as I slide myself on the ground, crouching while looking down. 

"Araqiel, don't be upset with yourself. It's not your fault." I hear Conrad encouraging me yet it's not helping the situation. 

"Just leave me for a second please." I plead as my eyes gaze at them. 

They respond with a nod, gradually walking outside the room, and slowly, Flynn glances at me, sighing before shutting the door close, leaving me alone.
