You haven’t changed a bit.

"Long time no see."

Kaya subconsciously moved her hand to greet. The man held her hand and the girl said, "Kaya, you haven't changed a bit." Kaya was looking at the girl with an unfamiliar gaze. Seeing this the girl exclaimed, "It's me, Veronica!"

"Veronica!", Kaya was shocked by seeing the beauty the girl has become. She smiled "You have become so pretty."

The same moment Kaya felt a warmth on her hand. She looked at the man.

"Xavier..."

"So you remember.", Xavier smirked.

'How could I forget those crystal grey eyes', Kaya thought to herself.

"Oh.. Hmm..", Kaya was mesmerized for the moment.

Xavier was observing her for a while. Veronica smiled to herself and hold Kaya's hand letting Xavier's hand go. Xavier looked her. A flash of gloominess was seen in his eyes. Veronica ignored him completely and hug Kaya.

"You become less fluffy though.", Veronica giggled.

Kaya smiled and asked, "You guys are back? Where are uncle and auntie?"

"Oh, no they didn't come. We just miss Boston and thus decided to come back.", Veronica replied.

Kaya smiled and replied, "You grew up to be beauty yourself, Veronica."

Veronica delighted and said, "That's why Star Entertainment wanted to launch me for their new film however I declined. I need a good script."

Kaya smiled, "Congratulation!" She read it from an online forum about Veronica becoming one of the top models in the country.

"This house doesn't change a bit.", Xavier said. He sneaked into the lawn already and was looking at the bushes Rhea nurtured.

"It does a little though.", Kaya murmured.

"Where?", Xavier asked.

Kaya looked at Xavier in his eyes for a while and took a deep breath and said, "The backyard cooking spot has been removed some years ago. The pond is also shortened because of the new garage. But I doubt you remember this."

"I do", Xavier's calm tone made Kaya look at him again.

"How's grandma?", He asked suddenly.

"She passed away. 10 years ago.", Kaya replied.

Xavier's face darkened. He replied after some while, "Sorry to hear that."

Then he continues, "I always like her. She was an excellent cook. Is this the reason backyard cooking spot is removed?"

"I could never forget the marshmallows she taught me. And her stories about India.", Veronica interrupted. She was looking like a broken-hearted person.

Kaya was completely shocked by this. She didn't expect these twins to be so connected to her grandma and they remembered everything about their childhood.

"It alright though.", Veronica turned away and said, "She must be looking at us from heaven. Alright Kaya, see you soon" and she walked away.

Kaya was expecting this rudeness from her however, Xavier seemed upset by this, "Sorry Kaya, Veronica is little emotional now.", He tried to explain.

"It is completely alright. I understand", Kaya was familiar with this attitude of Veronica.

"So now we are neighbors again.", Xavier smiled.

"Yeah", Kaya tried to smile too.

"I need to get going now. By the way, Kaya, are you free tomorrow night?"

"Amm yeah. But why?"

"We were having a house-warming party at our place. Join us.", Xavier invited her.

"Okay, see you tomorrow.", Kaya accepted.
