7 The little girl

Yuu got terrified when he looked at the girl's shoulder. There was a weird green pattern on her shoulder which was sometimes getting bright and sometimes getting dark.

Just who and what is this girl with the pattern? Is she a human or is she a...

"Umm.. young lady, could you tell me what is that on your shoulder?" Yuu could not control his eager to know what it was.

The girl tried to reply, "This is- " she could not finish her words. She started to cry again.

Rumia quickly hugged the girl and said, "You don't have to be afraid. We are here." Then Rumia secretly told Yuu not to ask these things at that time.

After the girl calmed down:

"Dear, can you tell us your name?" asked Rumia politely.

"Yes…My name is Asumi Shin." Replied the girl.

"That's a good name, Asumi-chan. And my name is Rumia and this person with me is Yuu. You may don't believe it but he is really afraid of everything like a cat." Said Rumia.

Asumi laughed at her words.

"Umm, let's go to ano-" while saying this Asumi became unconscious. Yuu held her so that she would fall on the floor.

Rumia and Yuu both were terrified. They thought that something bad has happened to Asumi. But when they checked her pulse, they saw it was alright. They became relieved.

"Thanks goodness." Rumia said.

"Hey look." Yuu pointed at Rumia's neck.

Both of them saw that Asumi's weird sign was brighter than before and spread from neck to shoulder. But suddenly it decreased spreading and started to become small again until it vanished completely from her body.

Rumia and Yuu were very surprised to see that. But they were glad that something weird was not happening with her.

"Let's keep her on the couch." Suggested Yuu.

Rumia agreed. Both of them picked her up and placed her on the couch. They covered her with a blanket.

Eleven hours ago...

Dr. Lin(the inventor of the virus) was looking at the microscope with a very intense look. He was sweating very hard. Suddenly he coughed a lot of blood from his mouth. He was not infected by the virus but staying in a highly radioactive room caused this.

He wiped his face with his sleeves.

When he again looked at the microscope, he peed in his pants because of the excitement.

"Yeah!….Oh! Yeah!!!!!! I invented the cure but it will become ineffective if it does not stay a host." He laughed like a maniac.

He really invented the cure of the ZTX-100EXD virus. But the virus will become ineffective if it does not stay inside a biological host.

Dr. Lin checked everything again to see if everything was alright or not. Then after checking, he extracted the virus in a test tube.

He quickly ran out of the room and the artificial metallic door closed and locked itself. Dr. Lin headed to a room and looked at his daughter Asumi whose mouth, hand and legs were tied by some ropes. She had a terrifying look at her face. The little girl was too small to understand what was going on. But she understood her father will do something dangerous to her. She tried to scream but couldn't.

Dr. Lin said, "Listen Asumi. You won't understand it now. But I am doing this to save you and a lot of people. So, don't hate me."

Dr. Lin was crying. He took out the test tube and put it inside a injection.

"This is gonna hurt a little, my sweet heart." He said.

He inserted the syringe needle inside Asumi's neck and injected the antidote inside her body.

Dr. Lin didn't have enough time so he didn't check if Asumi's body could accept the antidote or the antidote would be preserved nicely inside Asumi's body.

The antidote was not like any other antidote. Even if you inject it in a human's body, it will not dissolve in the blood. This stays inside the body nicely for eternity if any other thing is not done. Of course, the host's body will not get infected by the ZTX-100EXD virus and even if the body gets bitten by the zombies, the antidote residing inside the body will disintegrate the virus.

Dr. Lin was worried that if Asumi's body rejected the antidote, she would die and the antidote would also lose its effectiveness. He didn't want to see his daughter die.

Suddenly weird marks formed over Asumi's neck. Lin understood that Asumi's body didn't reject the antidote. He felt relieved. But Asumi was sleeping because her body went through a huge change because of becoming the host of the antidote. Even if she was just a host to preserve the virus, Asumi would get the supreme advantages of the antidote.

Dr. Lin quickly took out his phone from his pocket and called a person by his own internal network.

"Yes Boss, I am coming." Said a person over the phone.

"Make it quick" said Dr. Lin.

After two hours:

A man with a black suit came.

"Boss, you can leave it to me now." Said the man.

"Hmm, I told you this before, but listen to this again. Take Asumi to the mansion, there is a blue little box. It's all my life's invention in there. Then take her to my last base, it's the safest place on the planet now. The location and information of the base are given in the blue box. Only Asumi can open the box. Guard her well and be careful." Said Dr Lin.

"Yes, boss. I will protect the young mistress" Said the man.

After that Dr. Lin went to wake up Asumi. He woke up Asumi. She got scared but when she saw the sad face of his dad, she didn't move.

"Listen Asumi.... I am sorry. Daddy won't be with you anymore. This uncle will take you to home, and give you a blue box. It's for your birthday. Then he will take you to a nice place." He said.

Asumi didn't knew what to say. But she didn't want to leave her dad. He was the only family she had.

Dr. Lin remained quiet for a few seconds. Suddenly he hugged her and said, "I am sorry, Asumi. I am a very bad person. Forgive me…"

Asumi started to cry when she heard this. Dr. Lin stood up and told the man to take her.

Asumi didn't oppose because her body was too weak to oppose the strength of the bodyguard.

The man took her to a car and started to drive.

Asumi looked back towards the building and saw that it was on fire. Suddenly Asumi cried, "No…. My dad. He is in there. Let me go to my dad."

"Sorry, I can not do that." The man said with a cold voice. Asumi became scared and became quiet. But she was still crying.

A few minutes later...

While driving, the man suddenly started to laugh like a maniac.

"Man, it was not easy to fool the scientist. At last I get the host and the famous blue box. Hahahahahah." Said the man.

Asumi was scared, "What do you mean?"

The man looked at Asumi and started to laugh.

"You are nothing but a little container for an antidote. You don't deserve to listen to this, but I'll tell you. Listen, I worked for your dad for seven years just for this day to come.....Now I will take the blue box and you to a place and...…..Haha, I won't tell you anymore….." the man continued to drive with a dirty smile on his face.

Asumi was terrified to hear this. She was thinking what would happen to her.

The man stopped the car in front of a mansion after driving for about three hours. Asumi saw that it was her home.

When the man got out and opened the door, a sound was created.

As it was dark, the man did not notice but a zombie ran towards him. He quickly removed the zombie away by kicking it, which caused the zombie to get near to Asumi. It bit her. Asumi screamed very loudly due to her pain. After a few seconds, the zombie got away from Asumi and started scratch it's own throat, suddenly it fell down on the ground and died.

Asumi was still crying and blood was gushing outside through her hand. Suddenly she saw a weird black pattern from her neck was extending through her arm. When it reached the wounded spot, it started to heal the wound. Suddenly she saw that her wounds were gone and the hand looked more beautiful than before.

"Healing, huh?" the man said when he saw this. But Asumi was really afraid.

Due to the sound of Asumi's cry, the zombies noticed this and headed towards them. Seeing this, the man held Asumi's hand and started to run towards the mansion but a zombie caught up with them and bit the man's hand. Somehow, he managed to get of the zombie and entered the mansion with Asumi.

"Tch, I got bitten, I need your blood." Said the man with a nasty look towards the little girl.

Asumi was shocked to see such a dangerous face. She started to run.

"Get back, you lowly host." The man started running.

Asumi knew the mansion better than anyone other than Dr. Lin because she used to play hide and seek with the maids. So, she quickly ran into a room and went inside an almirah.

The man couldn't make it. He became a zombie for not taking the antidote. As he became a zombie, his plans also died. But when he heard the cry of Asumi, he went there and started hitting the almirah. Many hours went by this, but suddenly the knocking stopped and Asumi heard a girl's voice. It was really nice.

Asumi became very happy when she saw Rumia and Yuu. But her body still needed rest, so she fainted.
