The Evolution

Nakamura was inside the dressing room. He didn't know that there were zombies outside. After he got changed, he came out of the dressing room and said loudly," How do I look?"

"Shut up! Look outside" I whispered.

But it was too late. The zombies noticed us and were running towards us.....

09/01/2018- 2 pm.

"Everybody, Run!!" I shouted.

We started running. The zombies were coming towards us. We got very much afraid. Suddenly, I got an idea.

"Hey, you guys get in the cupboard." I shouted. After I said this, everybody got in the cupboard. But the zombies were powerful enough to break the cupboards. So, I took Tsubomi-san's broom and ran towards a metallic pillar of the shopping mall. I started to make sound with the broom by striking the pillar. Then all the zombies of the whole shopping mall started coming towards me like a wave. I felt a weird feeling in my spine for a moment.

I didn't know how I managed the courage to do it, but I jumped off from the railing of the floor. It was the 8th floor. I fell down in the ground floor and got unconscious.

09/01/2018- 6 pm.

When I woke up, I felt numb. But I came to my senses in a moment because of all the pain in my body. All the zombies were trying to bite the flesh of my body. I was feeling immense pain continuously. They were biting me everywhere. Suddenly I noticed that they were biting me, but I did not bleed. Not a single drop of blood was being dropped from my body.

I noticed that how much they were trying to bite me, my flesh nor my skin was tearing off. It was like as if my body became a piece of metal. But still I was feeling unbearable pain. I saw that when the zombies were trying to bite me, most of them broke their teeth.

"Just kill me, I can't bear this pain anymore. I want to die." I shouted.

In this immense pain, I could not think straight. But I could not take the pain either. Suddenly I noticed that the broom which Tsubomi-san made was lying a bit away. There were a thousand of zombies all over me. But when I tried to move, it wasn't that hard. I took the broom in my hand and tried to turn it on. But it wasn't turning on. I saw an electric socket for charging phone in the shopping mall. But I was under a lot of pressure.

I thought all my life when I didn't get anything after I tried once, I always gave up. But I won't give up now. I took up all my strength and went towards the electric socket. I pulled out the plastic part and pushed the broom inside the socket. I felt a strong vibration on my body and everything seemed dark. I got unconscious.

10/01/2018-4: 43 am

When I regained my senses, I saw that the room was dark. After a few seconds, when I tried to stand up, I felt something was under my hands. When I looked clearly, I was very much terrified because it was a zombie.

I looked more clearly, I saw that the room was filled with pile of dead zombies and all of them seemed to have burnt. Some of them were giving off smokes from their body. And this unpleasant smell. I could not take it anymore. I started to vomit. It felt as if my brain was coming out. At a point I stopped. I calmed down and stood up.

Somehow, I managed to go to the staircase. The number of zombies started to become low here. I went to the 8th floor and went in front of the cupboard where I left my friends. When I was about to open the cupboard, suddenly I felt a chill through my spine and my right hand moved backward automatically. I caught something. When I looked back, I saw someone was trying to hit my head with a baseball bat. My fist became strong and contracted. So the bat broke into pieces.

"Who's there?" I asked.

"Huh, that voice…Is that you Shoyo?" said the boy.

"Nakamura?" I said.

"I am so glad that you are alive man." Said Nakamura by coming closer to me.

"Thanks…But where are the girls?" I asked.

"In the cupboard." He said.

I opened the cupboard and saw both of them were sleeping.

"Listen, you might me how could Mamoru-san sleep at a time like this." Said Nakamura.

I looked at him but did not say anything. Nakamura started to say again, "Well, when you left, she was moving like crazy to stop you. I somehow managed to hold her off. But you know the proverb love makes a person strong. She was too strong to hold off. She went out. But I quickly ran and hit her on the back of her neck. Then she became unconscious. She'll be unconscious for the nest 7 hours most probably."

I did not say anything. I just thought what would happen if Nakamura did not stop her. Suddenly, I thought about Tsubomi-san.

"What about Tsubomi-san?" I asked.

"Oh, I almost forgot. I took the gas cylinder and made her to inhale the gas while she was still unconscious. She'll stay unconscious for a long time." He said.

I felt relieved and sat down.

"Thanks. Thank you very much. Because of you, they are still alive." I said.

Nakamura sat down.

"I sorry for hitting your girlfriend" said Nakamura in a naughty voice to tease me.

"She's not my girlfriend." I said in an angry voice. I tried to rest a bit.

"That electric shockwave. Was it your doing?" asked Nakamura.

"What shockwave?" I asked.

"In the evening, there was an electric shockwave over the whole building. Since then, there was no electricity in the building." Said Nakamura.

I remembered that I tried to charge the broom, but I pushed the broom's negative end too hard on the socket and I also got electrocuted with the zombies and got unconscious. But the question is how am I ALIVE even after getting an electric shock of 10000 volts.

"Hey Shoyo. Shoyo. Hey are you listening?" asked Nakamura by shaking me.

"Oh! Yes. I did the Overshock. I didn't have any other way to kill the zombies." I said after coming to my senses.

Suddenly I noticed that I was very hungry. This happened because I vomited a few minutes ago.

"Do you have any food? I am hungry." I said

"Yeah. Take this." Nakamura said by giving a butter bun towards me.

I took the bun. But when I started to put it in my mouth, it tasted so bitter that I threw I out of my mouth.

"Why is this so bitter." I asked.

"Let me taste it." Said Nakamura.

I gave it to Nakamura. He had a bite.

"This is good. You taste it again" he said. When I tasted it again, it tasted like shit.

I threw it out immediately.

"No, this tastes like shit. Give me something else." I said.

This time Nakamura gave me a packet of chips. When I put it in my mouth, it was like as if my mouth was being burnt. I threw it out. This time I got afraid...….. What has happened to me...
