1 Chapter 1: Start afresh

Who am I? Where am I? Why? all these questions would always hunt her when she was sleeping.

The sorrowful past that she does not want to remember can never leave her, tt keeps hunting her.

She would always felt that her soul had left her body, whenever she dream about the horrifying memories.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! NO PLEASE!!!!!!

Song yu woke up with tears staining her cheeks, which she already got use to it. Whenever she wakes up in the morning this will always happen to her.

Just like any other day, she gets up from the bed feeling restless. Doing her morning routine before starting her day, always in a bad side.

Ding Dong! Ding Dong! sounds of the door opening. Qiao lin, Song yu's childhood best friend who have gone through thick and thin with, had came to find her.

upon arrival at Royal, a place where only the most influential and rich can live in. Qiao Lin went to Mansion 4, which was where Song Yu live.

Knocking on the door to Song Yu's apartment, she did not hear any answers coming from the other end. Without wanting to overthink, she knocked a few more time, "Xiao Yu, are you home?". After numerous knocks without any response, Qiao Lin decided to just enter her house since she had the password.

After she unlocked the door, she did not expect the house to be pitch black when the sun was just up. It was cold and gloomy, since the curtains were shut with the air-condition on. "Song Yu, you are you still sl..." before she could finish her sentence, she heard the soft sniffles coming from the second floor.

Worried, Qiao Lin did not bother closing the door before rushing in lightning speed all the way up the flights of stairs to the second floor where Song Yu's bedroom was located. Upon rushing to her room, the sounds of cries got louder. Afraid something might happen to her bestie, she hurriedly open the door.

Qiao Lin felt like her heart been tore open when she saw Song Yu crying silently, she quickly walk to Song Yu and bend down to comfort her.

"Song Yu, what happen? why are you crying?"

Upon hearing Qiao Lin's voice, the lonely and desolate girl who was scrunched up at the edge of the bed raise her head and look at her bestie with eyes that cold break anyone's heart. The cloudy red eyes due to crying were so pitiful to look at.

Song Yu felt a sense of warm and hug her best friend Qiao Lin, "You know, the past a year ago had been hunting me non stop...I ..can't seem to not think about it." her voice broke with each word she said to Qiao Lin.

"I tried to, I really tried to not be affected by what happened but I can't seem to..."

"it's fine, you do not have to explain it. I can't comment on it because i've never experience it before but what I can say is, the Song Yu I know will never let this kind of things to bring her down." Saying those words to Song Yu was really hard for Qiao Lin as she was not there when those bad incidents happened, she was abroad further studying for her fashion designing.

When she came back to Country Z, everything had already happened with Song Yu bearing all the unpleasant schemes planted by her enemies alone. No one was there supporting or give her a shoulder to cry one, she was all alone when all those bad incidents happened. Everytime when she thought about it, she felt she owe Song Yu a lot.

"It hurts, it really hurts.....nobody trust me. They don't understand me, neither do they want to...why....why does..."

"You're good, everything's gonna be okay. I'm right here with you now, I'll accompany you through this phase. Song Yu, you're not alone." Qiao Lin interrupted Song Yu, not wanting her to think or feel bad about all the dark history.

Song Yu look up and saw Qiao Lin crying, she knew her bestie was reprimanding herself for not being there for her.

After what seems like forever, the two bestfriends were still hugging each other on the floor for their dear life. God also did not want to separate them, finally after an century. Song Yu resolutely looked up, "Lin, give me some time... I need time to think and move forward. I'll be back once I have...."

"I know, you don't have to tell me. Just make sure once you come back, I'll be the first you contact and make sure that you will be fine alone." Qiao Lin knew that her friend like sister needs a time out herself, and that she needed to be free from the bad past. Hence, she could not do anything other than giving her the support she needs.

Song Yu smile ever so slightly, revealing her alluring big doe eyes. The smile was very gentle and genuine, "I will, thank you for..."

"Don't need to thank me, silly" Qiao Lin scoffed at her bestfriends actions.
