2 Encounter With The Goddess Of Light

It was sure…he was dead.

When the game collapsed, a short circuit occurred in the computer. The safety system of the full-dive headset burnt down and he was exposed to hyper-intensified electromagnetic radiation.

His brain cells exploded causing his death.

***

It was pitch black, with no sound, no movement, nothing but darkness.

Strange as it is but he slowly regained his consciousness; as he opened his eyes, he saw a girl with long white hair and clear blue eyes sitting in front of him on a chair.

Her hair was so long that they were coming all the way down to the floor.

"My name is Emilia, I am the goddess of light," she said when she saw that he had opened his eyes.

"Oh-no, A-a-another goddess!" he said, his voice was not clear.

"I deeply apologize for all the trouble my student has caused you," she said.

He was still confused about what is going on and where is he, then he looked around to find out what is this place but there was nothing.

Nothing, it was looking like a white-colored void. The only thing there was a floor. The floor was also colored white but it was possible to differentiate between the floor and the void.

"What is this place? Am I still in the virtual world?" he asked.

"No, unfortunately, that world you made is destroyed due to my student's stupid mistake." She replied in her calm voice.

As he heard those words, it was like his whole world shattered (literally his whole world shattered by the way).

"No-No way….It can't be possible, right? I mean I…I've spent two years working on that world and it was almost complete….It…It can't be destroyed in an instant!"

"You...…you're kidding right?"

"I'm sorry but that's the truth. My student released a forbidden spell and it destroyed your world," she replied.

He didn't say a single word for a while. The shock of losing his virtual world was too much for him, but then also he was trying his best to calm himself down.

He was trying to remember everything that happened and look at things rationally.

"You said forbidden spell? Does that mean all that goddess part was real?" he asked.

The tension on his face increased a little when he saw Emilia nodding in reply.

"Then where am I right now?"

"You are currently in the *In-between realm*, and I feel sorry to say this but...You are dead," she replied, sadness could be seen on her face.

She was not pretending, she really felt sad for him.

After hearing those words he felt like he is thrown into an ocean and he was drowning deeper and deeper into the depths of the ocean.

He was shocked, scared, confused, and irritated all at the same time. It was that his. The only reason he was still able to keep himself in control was that this situation wasn't really new for him.

He had seen the same thing, over and over in isekai anime and novels.

He knew she wasn't lying because a place like this can't exist in the human realm and neither this was in the virtual world because he was able to feel his heartbeat and pulse which he can't do in the virtual world.

He took a deep breath and asked her a question he wanted to ask for a while now.

"What am I supposed to do now?"

Emilia stood up from her chair and looked at him.

"Since you died because of our mistake and the world you created was also destroyed because of our mistake, we are going to reincarnate you without erasing your memories. Also, you can have any one wish fulfilled in that life," she replied.

After hearing her reply a doubt in his mind became clearer and he asked out of curiosity.

"Did the world that I created existed in the space between two realms?"

"Yes, the world you created existed between your human realm and the realm of gods. That's why the realm of gods somehow merged with it and Iris entered that world," Emilia replied.

He always had his doubts about this but was never able to confirm that until now.

"Hmm, just as I thought…. Anyway, I guess I can't do anything about that now," he said.

"Umm... About my wish, can you reincarnate me into a rich family so I can re-create my game?" he asked.

Emilia looked at him with a confused look on her face and then replied to his question.

"I think you are misunderstanding something, we can't reincarnate you in the same world you died in. It is against the laws, if we tried to force it your soul will be destroyed... We are going to reincarnate you into a different world, that world is the same as the world you created," she replied.

'Ah, how did I forget the basic isekai rule!' he said to himself in his mind.

He quickly stood up from his chair and asked in a loud voice.

"Do magic and cat-girls exist in that world?" he asked.

Emilia had a little smile on her face "Yes, they do exist," she replied.

'Yes, they do *exist*' after hearing those words his face was filled with joy and excitement and he had a big smile on his face. (Also some cultured thoughts in his mind.)

The pain of losing his VRMMORPG which he worked two years on was quickly overtaken by the happiness of getting reincarnated in a *real* fantasy world.

"And about my wish… Can I ask anything, I mean anything?" he asked, holding back his curiosity.

"Yes, anything," said Emilia.

After thinking for a while he took a deep breath just like a runner takes before running a long distance.

"Then my wish is that I should be able to use all the spells, magic, and skills I was able to use in the world I created and I also want my level, MP, HP, and physical strength to be the same," he said all that in one go.

"Say, can you do that? If I describe it in one word then I want my 'stats' to be the same as the character I had in my game," he looked at Emilia with shining eyes.

She remains silent for a moment and then said "I can do that but there's a problem with it."

"What problem?" he asked hurriedly.

"Your powers even surpass gods, if I reincarnate you there with that much strength then even if you don't use magic; your physical strength would be enough to destroy space-time in one punch. And that's when you don't apply much force in that punch," she replied.

'Hmm, I did create my character as a heavily overpowered character and gave him everything I could think of….Wait! I could use that spell!' he thought.

"No worries miss….Umm," he tried to say something but forgot Emilia's name mid-way.

"Emilia, my name is Emilia," she said.

"Miss Emilia please don't worry about that, I have a sealing spell to seal my powers. I will only keep two percent of my total power unlocked and seal the remaining power, that won't cause any unnecessary destruction," he explained.

"And yes I forgot to mention before, I want to look like my character in that world."

Emilia looked at him for a while; it was like she was satisfied with his solution.

Emilia came forward and said, "Okay, I am now going to reincarnate you as a demon."

"Wait wait wait...why a demon...I want to be a human," his face suddenly turned pale and he said while panicking badly.

"How do demons look like in that world?" he asked.

He was confused; he didn't want to be a demon because he thought demons don't look good so he asked her to clear his doubt.

She started at him for a moment and then said "Same as humans, the only difference between them is that the bodies of demons are more suitable for magic."

"Phew... I'm saved; I thought I have to trade my looks for powers."

"Then it's alright, please go ahead," he said.

Emilia walked towards him and stopped at a distance of one or two feet. She bought her face close to his, held his head with both of her arms, and then kissed him.

His eyes were wide open and he was blushing badly, his face was red because he never expected this.

A shut-in teenager who is not even able to make eye contact with a girl while talking to them (he had only talked once to a girl when he was 8 years old) was currently being kissed by a super beautiful goddess.

But sadly this kiss was a part of the reincarnation spell, and deep in his heart, he also knew this.

A golden-colored magic circle appeared below him and bright white light came out from it. After a moment when the light disappeared, he also vanished with it.
