12 Step 1
"Your plan might work but it has one flaw." Daniel said after hearing Diana's plan of matchmaking Sebastian and Kate.
"What flaw?" Diana asked with a curious expression.
"Kate has to know that I will be pretending to be close to her or else...I might just turn out to be a creep to her." Daniel said with serious expression.
"Ohh, right! Well okay. I will explain it to her tonight. But I'm glad you're helping!" Diana said with a smile.
"Well, well. It's alright. Its for a good thing." Daniel said with a subtle smile.
After having some drinks and catching up with each other. Daniel dropped Diana at her home and drove away.
After dropping her off Daniel drove back but while driving he saw a call with a number and he knew that number really well.
"Seriously? I changed my fucking number and this guy…" Daniel said as he looked at the screen but did not pick up the call until it hung up on its own.
After reaching home, he went through messages and unexpectedly the same number the call came from had some messages too.
*Hey Danny boy! Missed me, did ya?*
*Oh come on read the messages already!*
*Busy?*
*Pick up the call Daniel!*
These were the messages that came from that number. After drinking a glass of cold water and taking a seat on his sofa in the living room Daniel called the number.
"What the hell do you want now?" Daniel asked as he banged the glass on table furiously.
"My sweetheart, you. Or else…" A guy's voice came from the other end of the call.
"You know what? I don't even care anymore! Do whatever you want! I. Am. Not. Afraid. Of. You!" Daniel said as he hung up the call and threw the phone in anger.
On the other hand, Jones residence
Diana was in her room she had just changed into her shorts and the baggy T-shirt that she loves.
"Okay, time to explain things to Kate." Diana said as she called Kate.
"Hello?" Kate said from the other end.
"Hey hi! Ah, I have something to tell you about you getting together with Sebastian." Diana said.
"Huh...how could I? Diidn't you say something about his highschool sweetheart?" Kate asked.
"That...I just said for fun! But listen to me!" Diana said with pleading voice.
"Okay fine, go on."
"Okay so…."

"But you think this would work?" Kate asked.
"Of course! You just act well with Daniel." Diana said with an assuring voice.
"Well, okay." Kate said as she took a deep breath before agreeing to Diana's plan.
After having a little more conversation on some girly things and random things the girls hung up the call. While Diana was on the call, there was someone who was looking at her while she was lost in her talking. But right after she was done her phone rang and Brian's name appeared.
"Hello Diana!" Brian said as he waved his hand across the window.
"Hey Brian. Not asleep yet?" Diana too waved her hand and gave a smile.
"Its 12:00 only. I still have work you know." Brian said with slight disappointment in his voice and expression.
"Aww that's sad. Though I have an assignment too. You mind if I keep you company?" Diana asked as she sat on her desk.
"Not at all." Brian said as he chuckled.
"Nice."
And so the night went with them working while looking at each other time to time. After 2 or 3 hours their work was done.
"Good night Brian" Diana said as she got up from her desk.
"Good night."
The next day, evening.
As usual the trio was hanging out at The Silvercity Bar. Usually the three guys have calm mood most of the time but this time someone looked in a really bad mood.
"Seb, what happened?" Dylan asked as saw Sebastian's grumpy face.
"Nothing. Just where the hell is Diana when I need her." He asked with irritation and anger.
Dylan and David were puzzeled to see Sebastian so angry at a girl that he had not even talked to properly.
"Why? What did she do?" David asked.
"Yeah, what did I do?" Diana said as she walked towards the table and stood behind Sebastian and tapped on his shoulder.
"What you did? You set Daniel and Kate up which you said you won't do!" Sebastian said with anger as he got up and turned around to face Diana.
"I..set THEM up? No way! I guess...yesterday they just hit it off you know." Diana said with a shocking expression and patted Sebastian's shoulder.
"Wait, how do you know they are dating?" Dylan asked.
"He came to pick her up, even gave a forehead kiss as he oped the door of his car." Sebastian said as he sat back and pouted like a child.
'Improvisation! My my Daniel, I was not expecting that!' Diana thought as she heard this and took a seat in front of Sebastian.
"So...um well I can't do anything about it so at least tell me..what kind of guy is Daniel anyway?" Sebastian asked with a serious expression.
"Hmmm well, he is good, kind, knows cooking, has a great sense of humor, plans awesome dates and oh of course! Great in bed!"
Sebastian choked on his beer as he heard the last sentence.
"The last one..was not needed but okay...so basically he is a perfect guy?" Sebastian asked with tensed expression.
"Yep. Perfect guy that every girl would want." Diana said with a dreamy expression.
Hearing all this just added to Sebastian's worries but he was feeling happy that at least Daniel is not some kind of jerk. This feeling was still a lot to take in for him.
'Step 1 accomplished.' Diana thought in her head.
