The Start of Fate

Ruby turned away and was about to run off as Harith gripped onto her hood. With premonition of thinking that Harith was going to attack her, she swung her scythe backwards.

Now, they are facing towards each other. Ruby noticed the ears and tail of his. Her rage began filling up as his ears and tail was fluffy like a wolf's except that they were blue in colour.

Harith began to sense danger coming towards him thus he waited on guard. After several seconds of silence, Ruby pounced onto him. She flung her scythe horizontally towards the left, right and vertically top till bottom. Harith dodged all the attack of hers magnificently. He jumped onto the tree to observe from above, looking for a right time to strike.

Out of his expectations, Ruby used her scythe to hook Harith over to her was she continued with a spinning combo which hurt him. Harith fell backwards and landed on the ground. Nevertheless, he got up instantly with a backwards handspring. He gathered his magic on his hands and fired at ruby. Ruby used her scythe to block off the attacks.

"Tsk" muttered Harith as he climbed up a tree again. Ruby was about to do the same trick till Harith escaped behind her using chrono dash. She immediately striked her scythe backwards.

However, a shield generated around harith, protecting him from the damage and he countered it with Synchro Fission, inflicting damage on ruby. She was knocked backwards towards a tree.

Ruby dragged the sharp side of her scythe across the ground, making sure that she wouldn't hit the tree. Carefully, she stood back up.

Harith stared daggers at her and asked, "Where are you from? What's with that attack from just now?" Ruby kept her silence. She wouldn't just say that it was because she thought that he looked like a wolf right?

"It's because u looked like a wolf," she replied bluntly. Harith was stunned and even more pissed than previously. "LOOK AT THIS MAJESTIC EARS! DO THEY LOOK LIKE A WOLF'S TO YOU??" shouted Harith while pointing at his ears. "IM A CAT BOY" he continued, filled with rage.

"Isn't that the same?" questioned Ruby. "ITS NOT GOD DAMMIT!" replied Harith, at his utmost anger. "Pffft hahaha! Well I'm sorry for the mistake then!" said Ruby as she bursted out in laughter cause of Harith's anger. Harith got shocked at her sudden laugh and smiled back at her.

After that, both of them rested under the tree together, talking about life. Ruby explained to him why does she want to attack wolves and more about her life previously.

Harith listened attentively, also told her about his life and how it was so tough to be born under such talents. Ruby was speechless the whole time at his narcissism but still nevertheless laughed throughout the whole story.

Both of them became quick friends and it was the time that they should part as Harith have to head back to Empire Moniyan. They bid farewell and parted ways from there, in hope that they would meet again someday.

Harith continued his journey back to the kingdom while Ruby decided to wonder around more before finding another place to stay. She walked future through the paths and wondered about what she should do. She was hungry and thirsty. Suddenly a thought came in her mind.

She decided to head towards Empire Moniyan as well. She drank few gulps of water and plucked some fruits from the trees before setting out on her journey.

Few days has passed since the day they had met. Harith was back on duty at the Empire. He was busy looking through some documents when he was told by his subordinate that a new member would be joining them.

"Harith, please head towards the meeting room to take in the new member. I heard that she is from a village in the Dark Forest but she isn't like any other ordinary girls," said his subordinate. "Mmm sure," replied Harith, getting up and walking towards the door.

There in the meeting room sat the girl with a red hood. Harith's subordinate entered first, said "Mister Harith" and went out of the room. Harith followed in after he went out.

"AH! ITS YOU!" shouted both of them at the same time. "Why are you here? I thought I'm here to see the new member!" said Harith. "Well yes you are and I'm here!" mentioned ruby.

Ruby explained her situation to him about how she was thirsty, hungry and needs a place to stay so she thought that this would be the best idea.

"Yea it would be if you are under these circumstances but are you sure you would be able to handle all the works here?" asked Harith in a rather serious tone.

"YES!" replied Ruby without a moment of hesitant. "GREAT! WELCOME ON BOARD!" said Harith as he put his hand forward for a handshake. Ruby accepted the handshake and she was then brought over to a room in the huge castle.

The room was spacious and wide. It has a large chandelier hanging from above. The bed was queen sized and there were a table for her to do her works. There was a bathroom attached to the room as well.

Ruby was stunned by the beauty of this room. It was completely different from the place she used to stay, the village. There, nearly everything was made of wood and for washrooms, they had to use one that everyone shared, making it incredibly unhygienic.

"I have no regrets!" said Ruby as she ran into her room, flung her belongings at the ground and jumped onto the bed. "Get ready for a mission tomorrow. Report to me at my office at 8 in the morning tomorrow. I will tell you what to do," mentioned Harith before heading out of the room.

Harith at the door, smiled at her childish behaviour and went back towards his office.
