The Moon Temple

After running for about half an hour, Ruby finally reached the Moon temple. The temple was located up high in the mountain and it took her tons of energy. By the time she reached the top, she was more than exhausted.

Pshhhh... Pshhh....

Ruby heard the sound of the gushing water coming from the temple. The musical melody from the wood chime hung above was very soothing. It made her forget her exhaustion from climbing up the mountain.

The temple was gigantic. It was beautiful and astounding. Though some places may be a little battered up, it just made it more ancient. The sight of it was truly captivating.

After looking around for a short while, she decided to head inside the temple in search of Nana. There was no sight of anyone in the temple. It was dead silent. The only sounds were the chirping of birds, the stridulating of crickets and the gushing of water. "Hopefully she didn't lie to me.." thought Ruby in her mind. .

She began to walk up the stairs in the temple. She held the railings and walked up step by step while looking at the carving on the walls. The carving shows several heroes that are battling in the land of dawn. They are all looked up by the villagers and many wished to be part of them.

"Ah! She's here!" said a voice coming from the second floor. Ruby was confused and began to run up faster to check out who was there. She placed her foot on the last step and pushed herself up. When she reached the second floor, she looked around again.

Once again, there was no one.

Rather than being confused, Ruby got a little frightened. She gripped on to her scythe for protection in case enemy approached. Suddenly, she felt a person's palm hitting her on the shoulder. Immediately she let out a scream and jumped forward before turning around.

"HAHAHA! What's with that? hahahaha!" laughed another voice that came from the railing. Ruby looked towards the railing and saw Harith sitting there. He was shaking his legs forth and back and smiled at her care-freely.

Next to him was Miya. She was the one who placed her hand on Ruby's shoulder. Though she didn't intend to scare her, she admitted that it was really funny. Ruby's face grew bright red in embarrassment.

"Tee hee hee!" giggled another voice which Ruby never heard before. She looked around in search of the voice and saw a girl with pink ears at the corner with her head popping out of the barrel. It was Nana.

"Good job finding me! I wanted to give you another test which was to make you entertain me but you had passed that already!" said Nana as she jumped out of the barrel and headed towards Ruby. "Test? And why are both of you here?" asked Ruby in confusion.

"Yep test!" said Harith, leaping down from the railing. "This was a small test for every newcomer that decides to join us and you accomplished it magnificently. Not only you were able to take up the clues and go into places you never been to before, you managed to defeat Miya in a fight!" continued Harith as he clapped his hands.

Ruby stood there in a daze. "Heyyyy! Are you listening?" asked Harith, walking up close towards her. Ruby looked at him as she finally snapped back into her senses. "Hmmm I guess it would be hard to talk here, let's get back!" said Harith.

Before heading back, Miya brought a tiny bottle of water and gave it to Ruby. "This water is only available here at the Moon temple. It can recover you stamina and injuries instantly. Take this as a gift for completing your first mission! Remember to only drink this when you are in any danger and also, do find some time to duel with me again!" said Miya before bidding farewell to Ruby, vanishing into the thin air once again.

Nana waved her hand towards Ruby while smiling before following off with Miya. No one knows how she notices her when she is invisible but somehow she was able to do so.

Soon enough, Harith and Ruby was back at the castle. He told Ruby to take a rest first before seeing him at his office later in the evening at 8:30. So, she walked back towards her room, took off her shoes and jumped onto her soft bed.

Within matter of seconds, she fell asleep as she was too exhausted. Ruby woke up few hours later and looked at the clock. It was already 8:33 in the evening. Instantly, she jumped out of bed and ran towards Harith's office. She knocked and opened the door before heading in.

Harith was sitting on his chair while holding a stopwatch. "Hmmm 5 minutes and 38seconds late!" said Harith towards Ruby. "You really need to keep your time management up hold!" he continued. Ruby was about to explain but she got cut off before she even started to speak.

"Anyways! Here you go! This is the emblem that prove that you are part of us officially! You are now free to use the blacksmith to upgrade your weapons and shop to get items that you need. Do remember that you need to get your rank up in order to purchase and upgrade your weapons to a certain extend," said Harith as he handed a bat shaped emblem towards Ruby.

Ruby received the emblem and thanked him. Then, Harith told her that he would be giving her a day off as a congratulatory gift. Ruby nodded her head before heading out of his office. As she exited the room, she felt her stomach rumble.

Due to that, she went towards the dining hall to have dinner. The moment food was brought to her, she gobbled it down with delight. After that, she went towards the library to read some books. She wanted to know more about the world she didn't know.

She walked down the long hallway and turned towards a giant door that led towards the library. She entered the room. There were shelves of books which reached up to several meters high. It was all filled with books. In the middle of the library, there were several numbers of table and chairs. She walked around in search of books that would attract her.

Soon enough, she found a book that pulled all her interest. The name of the book was " The Red Riding Hood and The Wolf".
