The Hood's day off

Ruby took the book out of the shelves and walked towards the seating area with it. She began flipping through the book.

*The story below is about the little red riding hood. You can skip through it if u had read it before

--------------------------

The story began with a girl who went towards the woods to deliver some food for her grandmother. She was constantly told not to ever speak to strangers on her way there through the woods.

Nevertheless, she brushed off the advice as soon as he met a wolf who asked her where she was going. Without a moment of hesitant, she told him that she was going to visit her grandma who lived alone in the hut beyond the path.

After getting that information, he decided to infiltrate the hut and disguise herself as her grandma to eat the girl up. The girl continued her trip towards her grandma house. When she reached, she knocked the door and the door was opened up by the wolf in disguise.

The disguise was so perfect that he even fooled the girl. In spite of that, he was unable to imitate the voice of her grandmother and her other features. Thus, was found out by the girl. Though his disguise was broken off, the wolf began scaring the girl which made her scream for help.

Fortunately, a woodcutter nearby heard her and came to her aid. He managed to rescued the girl and killed the wolf.

The END

-----------------------

The first impression that was left on Ruby was that she became more aggressive towards wolves. She realised how cunning they are and always would be. She also realised how she could relate herself towards the story. The wolves that destroyed her family would always be on her mind.

The true reason why she had decided to join Harith's forces was to become stronger. She wanted to get revenge. She wanted to slaughter all of them like what they did to her family and other innocent villagers.

She placed the book back towards the shelf and headed back towards her room. She jumped onto her bed and laid on it, trying to fall asleep. Soon enough she began sleeping soundly like a child.

The next day came. The morning sun lit up and shone onto her face. She began opening her eyes, awoken by the sunlight that came through her window. She was wondering about what would Harith call her to do today till she suddenly remembered that she was getting a day off of work. With that, she decided that she would go towards the town square to look around since she had never gotten the chance to do so.

Quickly, she got showered, dressed and headed out towards the town square. She looked around and found a small coffee shop. She walked in and ordered some food to eat. Ruby sat by the window of the shop, admiring the beauty of the town square. She was fascinated by the busy streets and the noisy crowds, the store owners who calls out to people and the street performances.

After her breakfast, she walked through the streets. Many people turned and looked at her as she walked. Ruby stood out from the crowd pretty well as she wore a white dress and red hooded cape, all while carrying a large scythe. From afar, she looked scary due to her humongous scythe but up close, Ruby looked like a bright child who always smiled.

Several people came up to her to ask about her scythe and told her that she would look much better without it. She told them that it was impossible as she always had it around her since she was a kid. Nevertheless, as people insisted, she just smiled it off.

Suddenly, she passed by an ice cream vendor. Ruby was from a village thus she had never tasted ice cream though she had heard about it. She was curious about how the deformed ice mixed with cream were able to attract the youngsters. From distance away, Ruby stood by the wall and looked at the vendor.

She stood there for about 15 minutes till she was finally noticed by the vendor. The vendor was an old kind man. He decided to give Ruby an ice cream for free as she was looking at him for so long. Ruby thanked him before bidding farewell and going off.

As she ran, Ruby began eating her ice cream. "This thing is cold! But its-" said Ruby as she got cut off. "Its sweet isn't it?" said a voice behind her. It was Harith. Ruby was dumbfounded and annoyed as she still had to see him on her day off.

"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!" shouted Ruby as she pointed as Harith.

"Oh, it is Vanilla isn't it?" replied Harith as he took a bite from Ruby's ice cream. Instantly, Ruby's face grew red and she used her scythe to fend off Harith. He laughed a little before waving his hand to her and walking away towards the palace.

"What is wrong with him....?" questioned Ruby in her mind. Soon enough as she came back into her consciousness, she noticed people looking at her and Harith. Immediately, she ran away in embarrassment towards the palace. All while eating the ice cream.

After she finished, she made her way towards Harith's office and stomped in. Harith was busy with his work as Ruby questioned him about the incident just now. "hmmm""mmmm""ohh" was all he replied with as he was bombarded with questions. Ruby became more pissed off and shouted out an "argh!" before going out of the office, slamming the door behind her.

Harith sat at his seat smirking a little before continuing his unfinished work.

Ruby headed towards the local garden for a walk. She thought that walking there would help ease her mind after dealing with Harith. As she walked, she saw many children with their parents. It pierced her in the heart a little as she never had parents who would play around with her. She never had met her parents anyways.

Disheartened Ruby sat on the bench at the side of the park and looked up towards the sky. She reached her hand out towards it and murmured to herself, "I don't know if you can recognise me but your daughter is doing well! Mom. Dad. Are you there..?"
