7 Chapter Seven: In Between Two Strange Man

"Hey, what are you staring at? Do I have something funny on my face?" She asked him when she noticed him staring at her face while smiling.

"Did I tell you that, you're so pretty? Um, I was just adoring your pretty face earlier. I was into you the first time I met you and until now, honestly." He said straightforwardly, like a genuine man that knows how to flatter a woman.

"I want to believe it, but you are just a dream. But thanks, anyway." She felt kind of sad that she knows that this is not the reality. She is just only dreaming.

"This is not a typical dream of yours, Cara. I'm really in your heart." He said as he read my thoughts. She stared at him blankly and thinks again. She wants to be with him longer than she thinks about it and doesn't want to wake up anymore.

"Wake up and find me." She suddenly stopped thinking and looked at him curiously that he replied in her thoughts again.

Still not talking to him nor reacted to his words, yet she continued thinking. She stared away from him and focused on the background of the place. She noticed they are still here in the city of paradise.

"I'm still mesmerized by the scenery of this place. It also looks like a dream that differs from the reality that I viewed."

She finally talked to him after a minute of silence. He came to her and hugged her instead of reacting to what she said. She wants to ask about his feelings about her and this thing that happens between them, however, she's scared that her feelings for him are real.

She woke up with tears falling from her eyelids. And felt like she watched a movie with an emotional ending. She hates such a kind of movie with no happy ending. And hates it even if it was only a dream.

She wants a happy ending that she has to find him for her to end her dream with tears of love and joy. She felt like she was plotting a romantic drama, that she dreamed of the man again. They looked like they were flirting with each other as if they were a couple who were on a dating stage.

Weeks had passed. Every night and day that she slept, she always dreamed of him. Every time she woke up, she feels like they were in a long-distance relationship that she left him alone in her dream.

However, they are not yet in that kind of relationship. A relationship with such a happy ending. She is only infatuated and not yet in love with him because she shouldn't feel that kind of feeling for him.

She has to end her insane thoughts because he is only a dream. But her mind is still ordering her to find him in the world of reality. Because she wants to believe that he really exists.

In reality, she received love letters from Mr. Smith every day. She also has another man disturbing her normal thinking in the real world that his face is nowhere to be seen. He does not differ from the man she dreamed of.

He is real, but nothing is real if she can't see his face. She is not like the character in the story, Daddy-Long-Legs. But looks like Mr. Smith is imitating the true Mr. Smith in that story. She feels like she has a stalker looking after her.

At first, she felt afraid of him when she was alone walking in the street, that she felt like he was there, following her. However, he never even bothered her, nor showed his face in front of her. He just writes her a letter that showing his affection for her.

Days and nights had passed like in her dreams. She thought of him as her guardian angel who looks after her safety in the real world, not afraid of him anymore. She is just waiting for the day that he would show his face in front of her and introduce himself to her in perfect timing, like a new friend who will always be by her side.

She got up from her bed feeling strange from the thoughts she had been thinking all these past few days. She still doesn't have a clue about what is really happening to her.

Though she wanted to ask her parents and her best friend when she thinks about it, she knows they can't answer all her questions. She needs to survive it on her own. That's the best possible way she had to do it.

It's because she's in the middle of chaos dealing with two strange men. And this chaos has something to do with her past that she doesn't remember. When she tried asking Jean about what's happening to her, even she is a genius psychologist, she can't mentally process her behavior in her dreams and reality.

Her friend just told her to ignore it for her to live life normally. However, she can't because these two strange men already have something to do with her normal day-to-day living.

She drove her way to school to live her normal days. But when she is about to pass by the city attraction that is familiar to her, she pulled over her car suddenly to see the situation inside.

There are still many people here, unlike the situation in her dreams with her strange guy. She looked over the place but she can't see any familiar person she is curious to see as she wants to see him again, but sadly enough she knows he will not be here.

She got back to her senses when a little girl had flashed in front of her smiling and gave her a single long-stem red rose flower. When she grabbed the flower and about to ask the little child, she ran away quickly and disappeared fast.

She looked around the place but she sees nothing strange from the surrounding people. But she felt strange when the little girl gave her this flower and disappeared.

She went back in the car to ignore the feelings that she had earlier. She drove her way back to school and think nothing but focused her thoughts on schooling.
