5 Chapter Five: A Dream to Remember

"This is for you. I want to give you chocolate because you are the only one who played with me." A boy said and gave her a piece of chocolate candy.

He has a sweet smile and a boyish look. She gave him a kiss on his cheek and returned him the sweetest smile.

She again remembered this moment in her childhood dream. When she thinks about it. It was just a pleasant dream.

But why did she think of it as if it really happened and why her parents made a big deal out of it just because she had tantrums and bullied her nanny?

She doesn't understand the whole thing that happened in her childhood days. She had this feeling that there was something in her past that her parents and her doctor did not tell her.

"You said the dream that I had is peculiar from the other cases that you were studying. What do you mean by that?"

"Yes, it is. The boy in your childhood dream had a clear picture, also the man in your present dream. It's somewhat unusual because your mind remembers clear pictures of your dream. You can recognize everything, even the place, and every detail. And every time you dream about it there was no repetition but a continuation. It's like you were watching a drama series. But it looks like a memory of yours rather than a normal dream."

"Then if you say so, is there really possibility or circumstance in your conclusion that I really met the boy?"

"I could answer that with yes. As I told you for the nth time. Because there is a fact that you can forget some things that happened to you during your childhood. Because we can remember not everything in our childhood memories when we become an adult. But the strange thing is how can you meet a man in your dream that saying he is the boy you met in the past. I think your mind is just creatively insane to make a perfect picture of a man in your dream and that you assumed him as he is the boy you want to see from your past."

She really thought so, but she wants to refuse it. She still wants to believe that those two characters in her dream have a connection with each other. But Jean is literally analyzing it by her own beliefs and perception.

"I couldn't agree with the latter you said. I am not insane. What if I also met the man? I have a question. Did my parents tell you I got into an accident when I was a child?"

She asked Jean, remembering the question she asked her parents about the deep scar she got from her childhood.

"Yes, you had an accident. But you did not remember yet what happened, you mean did you?" Jean asked, but a bit worried.

She knew it! That's why she has a deep scar on her left wrist. She's sure she got it from an accident. Her parents lied to her as she got it from playing with her toys.

She never thought Jean would answer her, revealing the thing that her parents did not tell her.

"I can't remember it, also my mom and dad did not tell me I got into an accident so I didn't know it. I just knew it from you. What happened to me, Jean? Why did my parents hide it from me?"

Jean had caught off guard. Her best friend just realized that she tricked her.

"I'm sorry Cara, I couldn't tell you the details. I thought, you already remembered what happened to you. Your parents decided not to tell you until you remember it because it might hurt you if you know it. Your mom and dad told my mom to drive your mind into a wonderful memory so that you will not remember what happened."

What happened to her that Jean couldn't tell her? What is that thing that could hurt her? She just only questioned herself because Jean wouldn't tell her even if she pushes her to talk.

Maybe she should investigate it all by herself. But she can't remember everything. If she asks her parents, even if they tell her, they will just worry about her.

She understands they did it just for her sake. But she's quite curious. Those dreams she had might have a connection to the accident she got.

She has a lot of things to do now. She will start by looking for the face of the man in her dream. He is the answer to all her questions.

Her today's therapy session with Jean left her with a clue in her mind. Her strange dreams are the key to her life. Throughout her life, she can't understand herself. She couldn't understand why she dreamed the same peculiar dreams.

"Eat the chocolate I gave you for you to earn more energy for the next time I will play with you, Cara. Goodbye and see you. Let's meet again in the future."

Her childhood dream, she dreamed it again. She's certain that it is not only a dream but a memory of her that happened in her past.

She thinks she must also find the owner of the boy's face. But how can she? She closed her eyes again to go back to her sleep. She must find another clue from her dream.

"Are you looking for me, my lady?" She remembered the kiss they had when she saw his face again. Her face blushed at the thought of it.

"No, I'm not. But where have you been? How can I meet you in the real world?"

Maybe she should start finding the clue. She thought she would dream of the boy again, but here she is, in the present world of her dream. She is seeing the present face of the boy in her childhood memory.

"Just remember the thing we used to do. You will find me. But for now, let's do another thing to make you remember me."

His words are puzzling her. Like a mysterious person, she can't figure out. She looked around the environment to find any clue in the place but she did not know where this place was.

When he noticed her indifference, he grabs her hand and pulled her. She wondered where he will take her.

She just followed his lead like they are a couple who are holding hands while walking in the middle of a deserted place.
