1 Prologue

The petals detached themselves from the plum blossoms, slowly drifting downwards to kiss the glistening grass. Except some were captivated by the grey of the paper that looked to be their relatives from across the lake. But for the oddest reasons, their relatives seem to be rather dull, rather grey.

But before they could take a closer look, they were brushed away by a gentle hand and fluttered to the ground. They swayed from left to right, hoping to fly high enough to see the girls face. See who could possible capture their brethren and lock them into a canvas of white, sucking out all the colors.

"Hey! Stop staring at her," my friend said, giving me an annoyed look that he's been giving me for the past few days.

"She's so pretty," I whispered under my breath, making him roll his eyes.

"Then go and confess!" he said, irritatedly.

"Do you really think I stand a chance?" I asked hopefully.

"No, but it'll help you get over your crush," he replied. Then he saw my face.

"Or not, but it's a worth a shot, " he shrugged as I sighed.

"I think I'll stay with the little hope I have."

"Suite yourself. But I'm telling you, you're gonna regret it big time."
