5 vet visits.

“hey Matt, how are you going?” I ask, walking into the vet office. Having a quick look around I see that even after being open for years, it still looks the same. Light grey flooring, white walls with pictures of animals all over the walls, a notice board on the right wall showing animals for sale and the counter in front of the door. “hey Ro! here to pick up Sasha?” I nod my head before meeting him at the door to go through to the back. “how’s she doing? Everything went good?” I ask, already having complete faith that he has made sure she’s ok. I have been bringing animals to Matt’s clinic forever, and my parents did too. “she’s doing great, feeling a little drowsy today, but everything went great” he answers giving me a grin over his shoulder. Walking out the back door into the little yard, I see Sasha laying down in the shade on a blanket watching the cattle. Hearing movement, she jumps up and runs over before jumping up on her back legs for cuddles. Laughing, I look over at matt “I thought she was tried?” I ask still patting Sasha. “I guess she just missed you” he laughs, watching her jump around us. “come on, Ill go sign her out” he says before walking back inside, knowing that I still have to feed the babies, I whistle for Sasha to follow me before heading back out the front of the clinic.

After signing the paperwork, I wave bye to Matt quickly before letting Sasha in the car and driving home. Looking through the review mirror I see Sasha sitting in the middle of the back seat. Sasha is a Great Dane that has sky blue eyes, and is harlequin and also a rescues pup, she was at the pound but because of her size a lot of people would take her but once they realised she would need to be trained everything, and that she was in fact a very big dog she was taken back. After her being returned 4 times, I decided to adopt her, and give her somewhere she wouldn’t have to worry about leaving again.

I let Sasha out of the car, before locking the doors and walking inside. I walk through the living room and head out towards the back door to let pickles in for her bottle. Looking around I take in my grey, white and black interior, before opening the back door.

Giving pickles her bottle, I take her and Sasha for a walk down the paddock to see how bam-bam and pebbles are going being in the big pen. Opening the gate, Sasha and pickles take off to look around which the goats run over for attention. Giving them, all pats and seeing the kids fitting in well, I go to collect Sasha and pickles but before I can I hear my phone beep with a message, and also ringing. Answering Madi’s call I know straight away that she didn’t call but instead the twins, Elijah and Isiah.

“hey aunty Ro-ro!” they yell into the phone, before I hear Madi telling them to pass her the phone. Chuckling” hey boys! How about you give Mumma the phone and Ill talk to you next ok?” shaking my head I walk down the paddock laughing when. I hear the boys that Madi can’t hang up the phone because they want to talk too. Collecting Sasha and Pickles we walk back up towards the gate and finally hearing Madi talk “hey, sorry! The boys heard me tell mum that I was going to call you tonight and decided to do it for me.” She says with a small laugh. ” that’s alright, I was just letting pickles and Sash run around while I checked on the kids” I tell her while shutting the gate behind us. “how is Sasha going? Her sides all good now?” she asks concerned.

Yesterday morning when I went to check on the animals Sasha was no where to be found, and after an hour of looking for her. I found her in the sheep paddock under the tree with her left side cut open, I quickly rushed her to the vet, where Matt said she will need to be stitched up and stay for the night because she had lost a lot of blood. Picking her up today lifted a weigh off my chest knowing that she would be ok and make it though, no matter how much Matt tried to reassure me that he was fine, I knew I would believe him until I seen her for myself.

Looking down at Sasha, I smile and give her head a good scratch “she’s good, has some pain meds to take for a few weeks. But Matt tells me that she’s going to be just fine. I take her back in to see him in 10 days for her stitches to get removed but that’s ok” I tell her watching as Sasha and Pickles run around the yard playing. “thank god, I still don’t understand how she was so hurt or what caused it” she says, voicing the same questions that I have. There is no where around or in the paddock that she could have injured herself that seriously on, which makes me think that someone had done it too her.

After talking to the boys, I tell Madi that I need to go and do the feedings for the animals, hearing her yell out. I quickly put the phone on speaker “what’s wrong woman? You would have blown my ear drums, if I still had the phone on my ear” I tell her while making the baby bottles. “have you heard from Kade?” she asks, shaking my head with a laugh “really? All that yelling so you could ask about Kade?” I shake my head laughing out loud at her craziness. “not yet, but I got a text as you rang so Ill have a look” I put the bottles down before picking up the phone to check my messages.

“WELL?!?” She yells, shaking my head I answer “he messaged, he wants to go on a date tomorrow night”
