2 Chapter 2

Nico could hear the man who was opening the bandage on his eyes was not the Doctor who operated on him yesterday. This time it was Doctor Hans.

"Mr. Nico, please open your eyes!" said Doctor Hans, sounding friendly.

Nico slowly opened his eyes. A beam of white light entered his sense of sight. There were only black shadows standing around the bed Nico was in.

"For you, how do you feel? Can you see anything?" asked the man standing right next to Nico. He only saw a shadow of the man.

Nico didn't flinch, he could see some shadows of the person who was in the room. However, he had not been able to clearly see who was in the refrigerated room where he had been lying for the past few days.

Doctor Hans moved his palm in front of Nico's face. The man could see something in motion in front of his face.

"Honey, can you see anything?" asked Sofia in a panicked tone of voice. The woman in the maroon dress stared fixedly at Nico's brown irises. One hand won Nico's wrist.

Nico shook his head gently. "I can't see anything, Doctor Hans," said Nico.

A tinge of smiles came from both corners of Sofia and Sam's lips who were also in the room. For a moment Sofia stared contentedly at Doctor Hans.

"Why, why only see light? Did this operation really fail," Nico's mind increasingly raged? "No, I should be able to see."

"Honey!" Sofia dropped her body-hugging Nico. His shoulders moved up and down with sobs. Sofia must pretend to be sad over Nico's failure of surgery.

"Patience Miss Sofia, we'll see in the next few days. Maybe this is only the initial stage after surgery, hopefully, in the next few days there will be much better development," said Doctor Hans.

"Does that mean that Mr. Nico's operation this time also failed, Doc?" asked Sam.

"I can't say if this operation failed or not. But seeing Mr. Nico in no way can see anything means that this operation seems to have failed."

Sofia sobbed even more tightly hugging Nico's speechless body. "My husband, huhu...!" sobbed Sofia sobbing.

"So if I see the light there is a possibility if this operation is successful," Nico continued to guess.

Nico almost memorized exactly the location of all the things that were in his house. Almost a year ago the man's blindness made him almost accustomed to living in the dark.

As usual, Nico uses his stick to measure the distance between one place and another. To make it easier for him to get to where he was going. He also placed his important objects in the same place, so that when Nico needed them, he could find them easily. Especially when Sofia is in the office, Nico has to do all his work. The perfectionist doesn't like anyone helping him if it's not Sofia the wife he loves so much. He prefers to do everything himself.

Wearing sunglasses, Nico can clearly see who is around him. The reflection of light that is not too dazzling makes the lack of light enter Nico's sense of sight.

A cynical smile flashed from both corners of Nico's lips as he watched Sofia's car break into the courtyard of his three-story home. From the top of his bedroom window, Nico can clearly watch the woman coming out of the car followed by the man who needs to be upright who walks around him. They walk very romantically like a husband and wife.

"Sir!"

Nico was almost shocked when his housekeeper's voice shocked him.

"Yes, Bik!" replied Nico pointing his stick at the woman who was sculpting in the doorway.

"Lunch is ready, Mr! Mrs. Sofia has also arrived, she is waiting for you at the dinner table," said housekeeper Nico.

"Okay, Bik! I'll be down soon," Nico replied.

"Oh, yes Bik, who did Mrs. Sofia come with?" asked Nico.

"Um, Mrs. Sofia went home alone, sir!" replied the middle-aged woman with a nervous face. Unfortunately, Nico was able to clearly see the middle-aged woman's nervousness.

"Alright, I'll be down soon!" replied Nico. From behind the sunglasses he was wearing, Nico noticed the departure of his housekeeper.

"It's not just Sofia who betrays. Bibik is the same," Nico smiled sarcastically.

Nico stepped foot towards the room that was thirteen steps from the stairs. Next to the kitchen without a sealing room.

The woman who had been sitting on the dinner table immediately got up, approaching Nico's arrival.

"Honey, sorry yes, I was late, there was a sudden meeting," Sofia said in a spoiled tone. For a moment he dropped a small kiss on Nico's forehead.

"It's okay, I know you must be very busy taking care of such a big company alone," Nico said with a smile.

Sofia led Nico to sit on the dinner table bench. But this time they weren't eating alone, there was Sam as well as the third person, unbeknownst to Nico.

"Honey, what's Bibik cooking today?" asked Nico to Sofia. From behind the black glasses that Nico was wearing at this moment, he was throwing a sharp stare at Sam who was sitting next to Sofia, unbeknownst to the man.

"Today there is rendang, vegetable soup, squid balado same shrimp sambal soy sauce sweet," said Sofia.

"Sofia, who in this house is going to eat that seafood? Aren't you also allergic to seafood," Nico said instantly making Sofia gasp.

The beautiful woman was getting nervous. While Sam looks inflamed staring at Nico. Sofia placed her index finger near her lips so that the man sitting next to her would not act and make a noise.

"Oh, yes, I don't know either, honey! Maybe Bibik forgot that in our family no one eats seafood, "said Sofia trying to talk.

"Yes already, it's okay, baby, we just eat it!" replied Nico with a smiley review.

The lunch was quite quiet. Only the clinking sound of spoons could be heard.

"Traitor! So all this time I've been going through my lunch event not alone. It turned out that someone else had slipped," Nico's monologue to heart.

Sam picked up a large shrimp that had been teasing him from the plate. The red spice makes the shrimp look delicious.

"Don't take the shrimp?" said Nico instantly making Sam surprised, sam's hand movements that were taking shrimp stopped. His eyes stared in shock at Nico.

Sam and Sofia are caught up in Nico. Their faces instantly turned pale and looked at each other.
