1 Sunshine

Asher POV:

Get out!!" my dad yelled throwing a hard cover dictionary at me.

"... I wish you'd just... die..." I ran off without closing his room door. I stop in front of my room door and decided I wanted to run away, so I put on my shoes and left the house. I couldn't see anything outside... My vision was blurry... And... I couldn't talk. I started to suffocate on air and the world closed in around me. Everything was dark...

"Asher wake up and get dressed!!!" I wake up to a startling slap in the face.

It was my friend Kate. For some reason I gave her a copy of my keys so she can enter my house whenever she wants too. I regret that decision now.

Kate started to search my closet, thrashing and knocking down everything in it. "Hey what are you doing!?" I got up and pulled Kate from her hands and I guess I pulled too hard that I tipped over. I didn't notice that I was pulling Kate with me, in 3 seconds we were both on the floor and Kate was on top of me.

"Asher! Why did you-"

"Just get off of me you're crushing my ribs!!!!" I yelled in pain.

Kate looked embarrassed and quickly stood up from my body. "I'm sorry Asher!" Kate apologized.

It's 8:00am. "Oh no!! I'm late!!!" I start searching my closet for my uniform.

"You're late? WE'RE LATE!!!! Hurry up and dress!" Kate stepped out my room and closed the door.

"I gotta hurry!!" I rushed taking off my shirt and pants.

"Hey Asher! Kate is telling me you're making us late! What's the big deal-"

My friends Hans opened the door and walked in.

(awkward silence)

"Why didn't you knock Hans!! I'm in my underwear!!!" I yelled.

Hans just stood there like everything was normal. "Just hurry up and... Dress." he started to laugh. I immediately started blushing while quickly putting on my uniform.

When I was done I kept thinking about why I didn't tell Hans to leave my room when I was changing... Maybe I actually wanted him to be there... But does that mean I'm ga-

"Asher why are you just standing in your room. Come on" Kate peeked in my room rushing me.

"Fine let me get my bag..." I walk over to my closet again and grab my book bag, but I stopped and started thinking... "Why do I feel this way around Kate too? Does this mean I'm not gay...? Ughhhhh let me just go..." I go down the stairs and out the door to my front yard, where Kate and Hans were waiting for me.

"Hey Asher... Do you really own that house?" Kate asked.

I look at her with an expression of not wanting to talk about something. "... It's not... It's my dad's..." I decided to tell Kate the truth.

"You have a dad?? Me and Hans has grown up with you and never met him... Why's that?" Kate started getting too personal.

"Kate..." I paused for a second... But of course life never goes well for me.

BEEP! BEEP!

A car was driving into the front yard of my house heading straight for me.

"Asher!!!!!" both Kate and Hans screamed.
