38 MARATHON RACE

School ended and I and flourish went back home,at home,after changing my clothes, flourish started telling me that the girls in the class where head over heels for me,I looked at her and saw her playful eyes showing that she was teasing me,I decided to play along with her so that she would be the tone that would end up being embarrassed,I looked at her and replied by asking if she was jealous, that was there a problem why they were all falling in love with me or is it because she did not have any admirer in school, hearing what I said her face started becoming red,I was not sure if it was red from embarrassment or it was red from anger,she then looked at me as if she was going to kill me that instant,she suddenly stood up,at first I thought she wanted to go to her room in anger but to my surprise,she pounced on me and started biting my shoulder, it was too sudden that I could not react on time,I tried to shake her off but the more I tried getting her off my shoulder the more it looked as if my flesh was about to be torn apart,I decided to let her bite my shoulder, noticing that I was not moving,she stopped biting me and started shouting at me, while she was shouting at me all I could do was look at her,I think my silence was making her angry because she immediately pounced on me again but this time I was alert and immediately stood up making her hit her head on the sofa,she looked at me angrily and wanted to bite me again, seeing this,I started running,as I was running,she started running after me,I ran to the dining room,she followed me there,I ran back to the sitting room, seeing that she still wanted to take her revenge,I ran to the compound,we started chasing each other to every corner of the house,for some reason I was not tired instead I felt energized, looking at the vampire like woman or should I call her a zombie well I could call her the two, looking at the monster running after me,I noticed that she was already getting tired after all we've been running for almost four hours but the spirit of revenge that was in her didn't let her stop running,she ran with all her might just to catch up with me but it was a pity she could not catch up,she started walking instead of running because she was tired,I had already entered the little garden she showed me when I noticed that she was not following me. I immediately went out of the garden to check on her and did not see her, thinking that she was in the house,I decided to rest and enjoy the view of the garden while smiling at myself,as I was sitting down on the only bench in the garden,I suddenly heard something moving towards me,I looked at the back but didn't see anything,I thought I was just imagining things,few minutes later,I heard the same sound,I immediately turned back and what looked like a zombie pounced on me and wanted to bite me,at first I thought it was a zombie but after landing with the zombie on the ground,I noticed that it was flourish,she was trying to bite me with all her might but I was not going to allow that,I pushed her down and started running away,she started following me and that was how we started running marathon race round the compound until I bumped into flourish dad who just came back from work,I was so happy that someone had come to my rescue so I immediately hid behind the man, Immediately I hid behind him,he was asking me what was happening but before he could finish his sentence,he saw a real life zombie running towards him and the zombie was holding a stick while shouting like a warrior that wants to attack his enemy on a battlefield. Immediately she noticed that her dad was around,she immediately dropped the stick in her hand while looking at the floor, flourish dad was still in a shock because he thought he really saw a zombie,I had to tap him so that he could come back to his senses, when he came back to his senses and noticed that the zombie was actually his daughter,he asked us what was going on practically yelling at us, listening to his question, flourish started shaking and wanted to explain but her dad told us to enter, immediately we entered I could see flourish from the corner of my eyes shivering,she was not shivering because of cold but because of fear,I started wondering why she would be that scared after all her dad looks like the person that can spoil a child,I started feeling guilty because if I did not tease her she would have not run after me like that,her father sat down on one of the sofa in the sitting room,then motioned us to come in front of us,he then faced flourish and started scolding her, asking her if she even wanted to go to university, after scolding her for roughly an hour and he looked as if he was not ready to stop and I could see that flourish has started talking,I had to come in and told him that flourish was not at fault that I was the one that caused everything,he did not allow me to finish talking before he walked out, when he left to his room,I immediately went to flourish side to comfort her, although he indirectly shouted at me,it didn't hurt like what he said to his daughter,I felt guilty, although have promised not to tease her,I could not just stop my self from teasing her,I started calming her down, while I was still trying to calm her down,I noticed that she had already fallen asleep,I decided to lay her on the sofa and find a way to calm her father,I went to her father room on getting there,I knocked on the door door,he then told me to enter,once I got inside,I immediately went on my kneel,he told me to stand up but I told him I was not going to stand up until he forgive I and flourish and also told him that it was not really flourish fault that it was mainly my fault,he then told me that he has forgiven us that the reason why he put the blame on her was because the exam was approaching and he wanted her to be serious for it that she was not really good in some subject and he had told her to study and not fool around,he then told me that he was only angry because she disobeyed him after that I promised him that we would obey him in the future,he nodded his head and asked of flourish,I told him that she was sleeping in the sitting room,he nodded then told me to wake her up if it was time for dinner,he then told me that he would eat in his room that he had a lot to do,I nodded then left the room,an hour later,a maid came to me and told me dinner was serve I nodded my head and decided to wake flourish up,after waking her up I told her that dinner was ready,she nodded and followed me to the dining room,I could see the sadness in her eyes and felt guilty, when we entered the dining room and the servants had already left,I decided to apologise to her,she accepted the apology and we ate in silence,after eating we went to our room to sleep.
