Prologue

At the corner of the street there was an old house, an unremarkable and tiny building with only two rooms. The paint on has long since faded highlighting a lawn that has scarcely seen any grass. The most amazing fact about the house had to be the fact it wasn't tore down as this obviously should have been it's fate years ago.

But if one was brave enough to risked a trip inside this dusty old house they would have witnessed an adorable two year old boy sitting on the floor staring out one of the few windows in the house. He seemed ensnared by the scene of the rain pouring down and the occasional lightning strike that occurred. Even the most ignorant man could tell just from a glance that the boy would be handsome when he grew up, from his sharp green eyes to his stunning jet black hair, but the most surprising feature had to be credited to his lack of moving and silence which preserved the painting like essence of the scene, few kids in his age could sit still for so long without making noise. Upon seeing such a boy most would immediately exclaim about how well behaved he is, this of course never happened to him since very few knew that this rundown house even had a child in it, and most would care less if they heard the news. A door near the boy led to the only other room in the house which contained two people saying such words that would most likely cause panic to the child if only he could understand them. "We need the money" could be heard from what was undeniably a man's voice. "But this extreme is a little much don't you think dear" This time the sounds came from a obviously a much higher voice that most would place to a woman

"We can't afford to keep him"-Man

"We can give him to an orphanage"- Woman

"That still won't help us besides i'm sure he'd want his par--guardians to be safe and secure we've took care of him for two years we deserve this much"-Man said exasperated while changing words in the middle

"You have no idea what would happen to him you can't do that to your own child"-The woman pleaded as she spoke

"We both know that brat isn't yours or mine, we are taking the deal end of discussion"-The man spoke his tone turning cold

The woman wanted to argue more but she stopped once she saw the man's eyes, she knew that the decision wouldn't change but his actions might become violent if she pushed him any more. The man pulled out his phone and made a call while the woman left to the room were only the boy sat.

''Um yes we decided to accept'

"I'll deliver him today"

"Um, are you sure will get the full amount"

"No, no, no I never doubted your integrity"

"5 o'clock got it i'll be there"

As the man hung up the phone greed shone in his eyes as he glanced at the clock.

In the other room the woman started to stare at the boy and soon just like the sound of rain the boy listened to *pitter* *patter* that begin a lot closer this time as he looked to the woman she continued to stare back with water in her eyes until finally she said

"Happy Birthday Liam"

And this was the last memory he had of the man and the woman and also it was his first step towards the rest of his life.
