The pair
Tatiana's POV
"It's not what it looks like!", I said in haste. Lauren and I let go of each other immediately, waiting for her response.
"Hmmmm. Aren't you a cute couple", Kendra teased and smirked. Her eyes landed to someone that I don't want to see at this moment.
"Misha! Yohooo! We're here!!", she shouted to call her attention and it worked. We saw her bow her head to 2 students hugging on the other side of the building. My heart raised with every step that she took towards us, it's not because I was happy, it was because this could get out of hand if I didn't do anything.
"Please don't tell her what you saw. It was really nothing, I just comforted her, that's all", I whispered to my dear old cousin. Lauren didn't care much about what was happening because she was so happy that Misha was fine. She ran towards her, meeting her at the middle and hugged her tight.
"If it was really nothing, then why are you acting like this now", she pointed out.
"Like what?", I asked, quite annoyed from what she's accusing me of.
"Just look at yourself in the mirror, I don't want to explain these things to you", she said while keeping joyful facade, waving at Misha. I took out my phone and checked myself from the mirror.
"You're right, I looked stupid", I dejectedly said. Kendra looked at me with wide eyes.
"Oh my! I didn't know you were this clueless, you always looked stupid in my eyes. You should do that more often", she mockingly said and laughed so hard that she was gaining attention from the other students nearby.

Misha's POV
"How are you feeling right now? Let me see those hands", Lara asked after hugging me and grabbed my hands for inspection.
"I am totally fine, there's no need to worry. They properly took care of me in the infirmary. See? You can't even see a single wound", I said to appease her, but she still kept on looking for wounds, touching my body to the point that I actually felt uncomfortable.
"Woah there! Let's keep it PG in here! Don't feel her up in public like this", Kendra said and laughed, then got in between Lara and I.
"I suppose she's fine. I'm sorry for doing that", Lara said and bowed her head.
"It's fine. Just don't worry about it. How was your test by the way?", I asked out of curiosity.
"I actually failed, but the school gave me a chance to improve in the talent section. If I do well, then I can still keep on attending classes in this school", she explained and smiled.
"Is that why you have a puffy face right now? Look at your eyes, you look like a goldfish on weed", I didn't mean it to be funny but all three of them laughed at my comment, I just laughed awkwardly with them. I was really concerned about what she said, but I guess it's not that big of a deal if they are all laughing like this.
"By the way, Tatiana, how about my results?", I asked. Now all of our attention are on her now.
"Well, yours is a special case so it would be better if the principal himself will be the one to explain it to you", she said.
"Hmmmm. Alright, when can I see him then?!", I asked with a smile on my face but I'm trembling inside. Maybe I failed too, and they couldn't give me a second chance unlike what they did with Laura. That would totally explain why they couldn't tell me immediately.
"Maybe tomorrow? I am not really sure, he didn't tell me anything about it yet", Tatiana responded.

Tatiana's POV
I need to ask my uncle about these two girls in front of me. Both cases are extremely unique and this just couldn't be decided by one person. Maybe he will arrange an emergency meeting with the committee later this day.
"Alright! I'll wait for him to call me then, but hopefully soon, I can't wait to know my results!", Misha said. Her voice quivered when she said that, despite the fact that she appeared cheery on the outside.
"Don't forget to tell us first when you get em' alright?", Kendra said as she put her arm over Misha's shoulder. Misha nodded and smiled so sweetly to Kendra, which made my stomach turn to knots. I don't know why, but I don't like the sight of it. I turned around and ignored that odd feeling. I decided to excuse myself and go home to rest from this tiresome day. The rest of them left the campus grounds immediately after I left. I guess all of us were exhausted from what happened, except for Kendra who was clueless to all of it.

Mr. Knight's POV
"Yes, that's right. Make it as early as possibly can tomorrow morning and update me later for the final arrangements. Make sure that only the top executives will know about this meeting. Thank you. I'll be waiting for your call. Good bye",I dropped the call and tossed it on to the bed.
"How could I explain this to them tomorrow if I myself don't have any ounce of clue to what just happened", I uttered to myself while gazing at the seemingly eerie view outside my opened window. The trees swaying along the wind looks peaceful and suspicious at the same time. The surroundings seemed normal but the atmosphere isn't.
"Could this be the beginning of something? Like a storm, waiting to happen", I thought to myself and closed the window, blocking the cold wind.
