Chapter 2

Autumn opened her eyes wondering where she was. She couldn't believe her eyes: a dazzling Milky Way in front of her. It swinging to the edge of nothingness. Autumn followed the trail of stars no knowing where it ends. Farther and farther she goes, the stars that sparkle shows pieces of her memory. From the moment she dies, when Scott was born, to the moment she met William.

"Maybe these are shades of memories that will shatter any moment before I meet my doom," Autumn said.

At the farthest part of the galactic room was a black door as tall as a Fig tree. There were gargoyles on its side holding a candle that lit the entrance hall. Autumn look around and did not found anything besides the fragments of her memory and the black door. Thinking thay this is the beginning of her doomed, she doubtfully opened the door adn was stunned to see a flashy light that sucked all up. Autumn was afraid that when she is about to reach the ground and open her eyes, she saw her room.

"Where am I?"

Her loyal servant who seemed to have been crying for a long time stormed outside her room to call the Madame of the house.

"Madame! Madame! Your highness, lady Autumn is awake!" she says while holding her heavy breathing.

"Good Lord! Dear God! My daughter is awake! Sir Robert, go the palace and tell my husband that he needs to come home now."

"As you wish, Madame."

Madame Emma stormed in Autum's bedroom. She couldn't believe it. Her daughter who has been sleeping for a year is now awake. Madame Emma hugged her daughter tightly and stroke her hair like the Madame does all the time.

"Mama, I don't understand. I thought I was dead",. Autumn said looking at her sobbing mother.

"No dear, you are alive. Your father, brother and I are delighted that you are awake. Don't make us worry anymore my dear.

"Where is Scott, Mama?"

"Whose Scott?" Madame wondered.

"Scott, Mama! My son!" Autumn worriedly said.

"Oh dear! Sylvia!"

"Yes, Madame?"

"Call a physician. Quick! I think there is something wrong with Autumn"

"Yes, Madame."

"Mama, I don't understand! Where's Scott? Where's my son?"

"Calm down, sweetheart. Rest first then we'll talk later."

Autumn calmed herself. It was one of those moments when mother's touched felt like serenity.

Madame Emma kept wondering why her daughter, Autumn, was looking for a child when she was merely 16 years old.
