Chapter 1Dreams and reincarnation

Beerus was on his planet, reclining on a massive, tree-shaped throne that towered over the tranquil landscape. The endless fields of blooming flowers stretched far and wide, swaying gently under a violet-hued sky. Whis floated nearby, humming to himself as he prepared an elaborate meal on a floating tray of divine delicacies.

The God of Destruction yawned lazily, stretching his lithe, feline form. "Whis, this is all getting so dull. Eating, sleeping, destroying planets… even chaos gets monotonous when it's this predictable."

Whis tilted his head slightly, smirking. "My Lord, how rare it is for you to voice your boredom. Shall I arrange something to entertain you? A sparring match, perhaps?"

Beerus scoffed, waving a dismissive paw. "As if anyone in this universe is worth my time. What's the point of sparring when I already know I'll win?" He leaned back into his throne, closing his golden eyes. "Even my dreams are more interesting than reality these days."

Whis's curiosity piqued. "Dreams, my Lord? How intriguing. Might I ask what you dreamed about?"

Beerus opened one eye, his expression thoughtful. "It was strange… I was in a vast, white void. Everything was silent, empty, and then a massive dragon appeared—larger than anything I've seen, even compared to Shenron or Porunga. Its scales shimmered like a galaxy, and its presence… it felt as though it could rival the Omni-King himself."

Whis paused mid-stir, his normally playful demeanor turning serious. "A dragon of that magnitude? Fascinating. Did it speak to you?"

Beerus nodded slowly, his tail flicking in thought. "It introduced itself as Veldanava, the 'Star King Dragon.' Said it created multiple universes, including some entirely separate from ours. It mentioned a place called the 'cardinal world,' claiming it to be its favorite creation."

Whis raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what did this Veldanava want from you, my Lord?"

Beerus leaned forward, resting his chin on a paw. "It said it was abandoning its power to live as a mortal and needed someone to oversee the cardinal world, to maintain its balance. Hmph, as if I'd take on such a tedious job."

Whis chuckled softly. "And did you refuse?"

"Of course I did!" Beerus huffed, crossing his arms. "I told him it sounded like too much work. But that dragon didn't seem to care. Said I'd 'understand soon enough.'"

Whis smiled faintly, his staff glowing as he resumed his cooking. "How curious. And do you believe it was merely a dream?"

Before Beerus could respond, his vision blurred, and a sudden wave of exhaustion washed over him. "Hmph. Maybe I need another nap," he muttered, closing his eyes.

The White Void Returns

When Beerus opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in the same endless white void. The colossal dragon, Veldanava, loomed before him, its shimmering scales glowing like a cosmic night sky.

"Welcome back, Beerus," Veldanava's deep, resonant voice echoed. "I see you've been pondering my offer."

Beerus growled, crossing his arms. "I haven't been pondering anything. I already said no. Now let me wake up, dragon."

Veldanava chuckled, his golden eyes glinting with amusement. "This is no dream, Beerus. It is a glimpse into a greater reality. Whether you agree or not, your path has already been set."

Beerus's eyes narrowed. "I don't take kindly to being forced into anything, especially by oversized lizards like you."

Veldanava's expression remained calm. "Precisely why I chose you. You are strong-willed, unpredictable, and capable of making decisions beyond the comprehension of mortals or gods. But rest assured, this is no punishment. I am giving you an opportunity—to grow, to experience something beyond the cycle of destruction you've grown so accustomed to."

Beerus glared at the dragon, his tail flicking irritably. "You're asking me to give up my time and status for some mortal playground? What's in it for me?"

Veldanava's gaze softened. "The cardinal world is far from a mere playground. It is a realm of limitless potential, filled with creatures, magic, and challenges unlike anything in your universe. You will retain your original form and most of your abilities, though some of your godly powers will be sealed to ensure balance. To aid you, I will grant you an ultimate skill—an assistant, if you will. It will guide you, help you grow, and unlock your full potential over time."

Beerus frowned, intrigued despite himself. "An assistant, huh? Sounds like a babysitter. And what if I decide to destroy everything in this world instead of babysitting it?"

The dragon smiled knowingly. "Then that, too, will be your choice. I have faith you'll find a path that even you didn't expect."

Before Beerus could retort, the void began to collapse, swirling into a vortex of light. Veldanava's voice echoed one final time: "Prepare yourself, Beerus. Your journey begins now."

Rebirth in the Cardinal World

Beerus awoke in a dense, vibrant forest, his body feeling lighter but no less powerful. He stretched, flexing his claws and twitching his ears. His golden eyes scanned his surroundings, noting the unfamiliar terrain and the potent magical energy saturating the air.

"Hmph. So this is the cardinal world," he muttered, his tail swishing.

A calm, mechanical voice echoed in his mind:

<Welcome, Beerus. I am your ultimate skill, Wisdom King Raphael. exist to guide you and ensure success in this world.>

Beerus froze, his ears flattening in irritation. "Great. A voice in my head. Just what I needed."

<I am here to assist you, not hinder. Would you like an analysis of your current state?>

Beerus sighed. "Fine. Make it quick."

<Analysis complete. You retain enhanced strength, speed, and agility. Destructive powers have been sealed, but your abilities will gradually unlock as you grow stronger. Magicules detected in vicinity. Recommendations: hunt nearby creatures to absorb their adapt the cardinal world's energy system.>

Beerus grinned, baring sharp fangs. "Hunt, huh? Now that's something I can get behind. Let's see what this world has to offer."

With Raphael guiding him, Beerus leapt into the trees, his movements fluid and precise. Despite the loss of his godly powers, his instincts and cunning remained sharp. The creatures of the forest would soon learn that a predator had arrived—one unlike any they had ever encountered.

And so began the journey of Beerus, the God of Destruction, in a world where survival, strength, and cunning reigned supreme.
