1 Chapter 1: Prologue.

"Huh?! Oh! What's up? What's wrong?"

My name is Matthias Sasha. I'm what you can call... A Gacha Addict.

"You really spend a lot of money doing something stupid again?"

And in front of me, is my friend. Jonas. We're in the same class and both have the same hobby. Playing game. But, unlike me, Jonas like to play an Open World MMORPG.

While I do like playing RPG, I like it for the Gacha Aspect.

"What do you mean stupid?! Calling gacha stupid is a sin! It's one of my few sources of happiness! Seeing that shiny coming up and getting a Natural Five Star is the best feeling ever!"

Jonas face... Can be said not impressed. His face is literally saying something like 'What is this Gambling addict said?' I can't say anything about that, because what he thought is true. Many people thought that I have lost my mind from Gacha games. But my comrades, understand that feeling.

"Alright. Let me hear you... How many years have you played your game?"

"Eh? Um... Two Years? I'm a Day One Player too... It's been a long time..."

I have been playing this game since the moment it came out. I shape the game to what it is today. Not like, the game itself. But the Meta of the game... I use a lot of lower star unit because, I didn't get too much Natural Five Star~ It's shitty!

"Alright... You're a Day One player, not to mention, you're one of the best Free to Play player in the game. Even your Free to Play account is better than some of the Pay to Win account..."

"Yes, That is true. I am one of the best player that's Free to Play."

I'm free to play not because I want to. Because I can't afford to waste money on the game... I'm still in my Second Year of Highschool. I need to pay for all the fees.

Fortunately, Being one of the best player that is Free to Play means that... There's a lot of people interested. And that people watches my Livestream to see what I'm doing in game most of the time. Which is just... Farming and Min Maxing my Gears for my units...

"Then, how many Natural Five star have you gotten from the Gacha? Do not include the free Natural Five Star that you got from Selector. Or Guaranteed Summon Ticket. Just from pure Gacha."

E-Eh? W-What kind of question are you asking me? T-That's... Unfair...

"Like... Ten?"

"Ten... Through out your Two Years of playing this damn game, you only got Ten Natural Five Stars from Gacha. And you got how many Five Stars now?"

"... I have... Sixty Natural Five Star? There's a total amount of... A-A Hundred..."

Fuck... Now that I heard what he's trying to relay... It is a complete waste of time. Playing it... I have Sixty Percent of the Total Natural Five Star... And most of them are just Useless... Of course, the total of Five star I have is more... But they're duplicates. I feed them to make my unit into a Six Star.

"Matthias... As a Friend... I will tell you this. There's a new iteration of game that has comes out. I know you've been living under a rock about this sort of news... It's called the VR Game. You know about this?"

"VR? Yeah I know you dingus. You think I don't keep up with the news? It's that headset that you put on your head and you can see virtual shit, right?"

"Correct. But as I said, this is a new Iteration of VR... It's Virtual Reality: Deep Dive."

The moment I heard that, I know I need to know more. So I let out a serious pose. Leaning forward, my elbow on the table and my hands on my mouth...

"Can you... Tell me more?"

"... Why are you talking like an old man all of the sudden? You've been playing too much role playing game... Anyway... There's this capsule---"

"Stop! You do not need to elaborate any further. Your few words have given me eternal wisdom."

"Man... Stop talking like a freak, will you?"

"Alright, I will. I understand what you're trying to say about this. And you know what... I'm not interested in playing it. You can say whatever you want, I'm not going to be sold."

I've invested a lot into my gacha account... There ain't no way I will leave the game. Until the game died, I won't quit!

"I heard that you can make real money from trading in that game."

"Still, not enough reason. I can get money from Streaming too."

"... There's also... A Gacha System..."

In Jonas Voice, there's a deep grudge like tone when he mentioned Gacha System... The moment I heard that tone, My face turns smug and I cheekily annoy him.

"It seems like you have fallen too, My friend. Let's both together, enjoy the pain and pleasure of Gacha Game!"

"NO! I have not fallen! It's just that, I thought that you would like the game. The main component of the game itself is grinding in dungeon. Gacha is just merely a side dish."

"Yeah, You say so but you're interested in the Gacha itself. It seems like you didn't pull a good one from your Gacha."

"... Yes... Anyway, you want to play it? Or not?"

Hmmm~ Since there's a Gacha, I might as well just enjoy the new game. An Open World MMORPG where you control your own body is one of my dream game. Not to mention, the luck system is going to be tested through Gacha...

Let's see what it has to offer to me.

"Where should we play?"

"Since buying our own Capsule is out of the question, let's play it at a net café after school. I've gotten pretty far into the game. So, I should be able to support you---"

Ignoring his words, I just went to my phone and order the Capsule straight away. It is indeed, very expensive... But, it shouldn't matter too much...

"Wait, have you been listening to me?"

"Yeah Man, after school yeah?"

"Good. It seems like you've been listening."

Honestly, I don't hear a word other than that, but I couldn't care more... I enjoy playing alone quite a lot. And Jonas is an absolute loudmouth. I just want to enjoy playing game in peace...
