Prologue - A Dark Night

*Wind blows* The night sky falls, and the blood moon shone at its peak. Showing the beauty of the rural city, an unknown shadow keeps on fading on the light streets but suddenly it stops.

A mysterious guy with green eyes is looking around on the top of a building, he seems alert. *Vibrating* V-RR V-RR, he looks at his wrist with sharp eyes. *BEEP*

"ALEX, COULD YOU PICK UP ANY SLOWER!" An elderly man shows up on a holographic image from the boy's watch.

*Rolling eyes*

"Geez old man, could you stop calling me already, I know what my mission is—"

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING OLD MAN! I'M YOUR BOSS!!".

The boy sighs and looks at his boss sharply.

*Clearing his throat*

" I know you know your mission Alex, but is not as simple as you might think... We need you to do something else for us."

As the scarlet light from the moon shone brightly, the shadows became stronger. The boy arrives to a roof of a marvelous house, he steps down to a little balcony on the side of the house. *Breathing quietly*, slowly moving towards the window, he merges with the shadows and gets into a room. The lights are off but the nights light managed to get in . His emerald green eyes looking closely at the bedroom, spotting someone on the bed. He lowers his guard for a second and comes out of the closet shadows.

*Vibrating* V-RR V—

reacting without thinking he goes under the bed answering his watch.

*Whispering* "What do you want now?!, I'm kind of busy, you know"

Is his boss again, surprised by the boy's reaction he then said "Oh my, you are a handful..."

The boy glaring asked again, "What is it now?"

"What are you doing Alex? We never told you to go in the house, your mission is only to protect Her."

Looking serious, he said, "I know , I just wanted to see who I'm protec—"

*RUSTLE*

"Alex you better not fall for her—"

Interrupting "I need to go." *BEEP*.

The boy slowly crawled out of under the bed, without making any sound he stands up next to the bed, trying to get a glance at the girl's face.

"Fall for her? As if, you should know me better old man". Alex scoffed as he thought.

*Rustle*

The blanket moved out of the girl's face, showing a soft but firm face, with long lashes, a sharp but gentle nose and dreamy lips. With the night light grazing her softly, making her skin fair and a tint pink. The boy's eyes glowing with the scarlet light, without knowing he was already face to face with the girl.

Her eyes began to move but he didn't notice, she opened her eyes and found a handsome young man around her age right in front of her face, her eyes widened and his too, for a moment she winked and the boy was completely gone....

The girl was startled, she didn't know if she was dreaming but then *Creak* she turns to the sound but found nothing.

"I know you are there ... you can come out..." with insecurity on her voice she then takes a deep breath. "I'm not scared just come out", he really didn't want to do this but he couldn't think of anything else ....

He starts going from shadow to shadow around the girl's room, somehow the girl could see where he was going, he suddenly stops in-front of her bed, trying to get a gleams of the boy's face, he asks her "How could you follow where I am?"

"Can you talk to me without hiding?"

"You would be scared if I don't hide" he said with a grin on his face.

Looking confused, she said, "I saw you just now, why would I be scared?, just come out." Not really remembering the boy's face she tried her best to stay calm and not freak out.

From the shadows a dark figure that looked like a human came out, changing into a enormous dark beast. She could tell it was the boy despite his appearance, his emerald green eyes were the only image the girl could remember. *Small Gasp* Getting closer to the light the boy that wasn't a boy anymore showed his real being. *Eyes widen* Slowly approaching her with a deadly gaze and a small growl, the beast reveal himself.

*Growling* fear getting the best of her, shutting her eyes tided, she hears a voice on her head.

"I warned you, didn't I?"

She opens her eyes, the beast still in front of her "Y-you *breathing heavily* are a p-panther...." still kind of scared, she continues "H-how is that possible? ... I heard a voice just now, Who?....", looking around, the voice again on her head said

"You are surprised? Well I guess you don't see this everyday, huh?"

"Why would they want me to protect this girl... apart from her following where I was there's really nothing special about her. Boss in what kind of mess are you getting me into?". He thought while the girl was still looking for someone.

The girl asked again "W-who's there...?"

*Rolling his eyes* With a disappointment look "Okay let me explain, I can talk to you by telepathy... is one of the things we can do apart from transforming into panthers, we have really high speed and strength so we can pretty much kill anyone without nobody noticing."

"What are you saying, killing?! Telepathy, transform—?!"

Her voice got a bit loud, before she noticed he was already back to his human form covering her mouth "Shhhh, you are getting loud" with piercing eyes he slowly takes off his hand of her lips.

Well awake now, the girl looks at the boy and notice he doesn't have a shirt on, panicking she pushes him away, getting mad she covers herself with the blanket, "W-What do you think you are doing?!?" With an embarrassed face and sharp round eyes she asks.

Kind of shocked Alex then proceeds "Oh... My bad" looking down at his naked chest, he then explains "This is not what you think, when we transform into panthers our cloths get ripped off so we always carry a backup ... *clearing his throat* I'm really sorry, so please could you keep it quiet...."

The girl still kind of mad asks him, "Why are you even in my room, are you a thief or something, you just said kill, are you planning on killing me or someone ??"

He chuckled at the girl's question, "Don't you think I would have done that already if I was planning to?"

A little embarrassed she then said "Then ... are you a pervert?"

Putting his shirt back on, *chokes* repeating "A pervert, are you kidding? I wouldn't pay attention to you not even in a thousand years, you wish"

"Excuse me?!" The girl scoffed, getting furious and totally forgetting what just happen, she then gets out of the bed and starts pushing him out of her bedroom but then he dodges and gets out of the house from where he came from.

*Outside of the house on top of the roof*

Still recovering from what just had happened Alex stares at the sky. A few minutes passed and he was still waiting on the roof, he was kind of surprised his boss haven't called him yet, when out of nowhere five guys showed up right in front of him.
