Party

"Where is Veronica!?", Varun asked searching her in the morning.

"Mrs. Miller had some important work , so she left early", Mrs. Smith replied.

"Hmm...", Varun started texting Veronica.

"PARTY TODAY AT MAYAN 7 IN THE EVENING FOR OUR WEDDING. MY FRIENDS WOULD VISIT US SO BE READY. WILL PICK YOU UP."

Seeing the message Veronica widened her eyes and pinched her eyebrows.

Veronica had a care free attitude. She didn't gave importance what people were thinking about her but this time it was Varun's friends whom she was going to meet.

Returning home Veronica started getting ready.

She was wearing off-shoulder white dress with black Stilettos. Her hair was simply blow- dried and straightened. She put some eyeliners, bronzer on her cheeks. Her lipstick (brown with reddish undertones) gave her a sophisticated and fresh look to the face.

Coming out of the mansion she saw Varun waiting for her. Taking deep breath, putting hands on her chest ,she walked ahead.

Varun was indulged in his phone when he saw Veronica coming towards him. His nerves were completely on edge.

Varun was wearing a tuxedo a La James Bond, and he looked amazing.

While sitting in the car Veronica thought Her heart was completely trying to escape her chest.

After half an hour both of them arrived at "The Mayan", before getting out of the car she told herself "Everything will be alright. Have confidence!!".

Walking into the club she saw Kabir and Alexa standing and watching them with adorness on their eyes.

"Both of you are looking marvellous. Even I want to get married now!!", she saw Kabir making puppy face.

"Yeah yeah!!!, Veronica!! looking hot", he winked at her.

Veronica started laughing.

"Let's go ahead!!", Varun interrupted them.

Everyone was appreciating Veronica's looks, her behaviour, her work.

"Beauty+Brain+Sense Of Humour", Ashok moved both of his hands gesturing in a way to hug her.

Varun came in between them. Kabir came to Veronica and said

"Beware of that man!!!. He is dangerous", he patted her shoulder.

"Hmm...", Veronica nodded, she felt uncomfortable as Ashok was watching her whole time.

She got closer and people started coming into focus, someone stood out of the crowd and said

"Hey, you look pretty!!, Varun is lucky", A girl came towards her.

"She is Aylin , she is a model",Varun introduced both of the girls to each other.

Aylin was tall and gorgeous. No doubt without knowing anything about her, Veronica guessed she was a model. She walked as if she was on a catwalk. Her shiny shiny borderline reflective hair billowed behind her and bounced as her hips jutted from side to side, causing her whole body sway from left to right from each step.

No wonder Varun had crush on her!!! Veronica thought.

"O.h.. Hiee..thanks. You both continue. I think Alexa is calling me", Veronica knew the story so she didn't wanted to become a third tier between them.

Varun pulled her close and grabbed her waist. She looked at Varun astonishingly. Her heart started pounding fast. But before she could speak anything Varun said "Stay here"

Veronica calmed herself and replied "Haaahh... hmmm... I-I...", she was so nervous that it was impossible for her to even utter a single word.

After a while when the party was over. Ashok came to Veronica , shook her hands "We'll meet soon."

Varun was watching her and Ashok while talking to Kabir.

Veronica smiled and said "Sure!!"

All them gave their farewell to each other.

Varun was going to open the door for Veronica but remembered what Veronica had told him last night.

Both of them got into the car. Veronica was tired and felt sleepy.

"Veronica? Veronica?", she heard someone calling out her name.

"Huh?" she opened her eyes , blinked and realised that her face pressed into something "OH GOD!! I HAD BEEN SLEEPING ON HIS SHOULDER!!", Veronica thought, she quickly whipped her head up and looked at him.

"Sorry, I didn't knew I was, sorry I must have fallen asleep"

"Don't worry", Varun reached up and pushed the hair that had fallen into her face away.

Without uttering a single word both of them entered their separate room.

During shower Veronica was thinking how Varun had held her waist.

"He must have done it to show Aylin that he was happy with me!! Uff ... Common human nature." Veronica shrugged of while saying this to herself.

Veronica was doing her work when she heard the knock on the door.

"Sorry to disturb you. My grandparents would be arriving tomorrow.", Varun entered.

"Again I have to transfer my things to your room", her hands were on her forehead.

"Yes, I came here to tell you this, but I guess you are smart enough. I will be there if you need any help."

"Hah.. for sure", she started packing her clothes in her bag.

"When they will be arriving?",

"At evening, Louis will receive."

"Hmm... I don't want to poke my nose, but wouldn't they happy!!! If you would recieve them at airport. Trust me!!"

"Okk, Good night", Varun closed the door.

"He must be annoyed. Why? why? everytime you have to interrupt Veronica", she gave a slap to herself.
