1 Becoming All Powerful

Edward's life had been neither unbearable nor amazing until now. Some bad things had happened here and there, but he got through them. One of things that always helped him was immersing himself in stories. He would always wonder what life would be like in those stories.

One of the types of stories he especially loved was cultivation stories. He loved the idea of being able to do whatever you want and never have to worry about anything. He would always imagine what would happen if he went to a cultivation world or if he was able to cultivate for some reason.

This wasn't the only thing he imagined though. He took it one step further and imagined what he would do if one day he woke up and became as powerful as a god. Able to do anything and everything he wanted. He in fact loved doing this and would fantasize what he would do often and these fantasies were amazing to him.

One day though these fantasies weren't fantasies anymore though.

It was just a normal day like any other, but for some reason Edward felt slightly different when he woke up. He looked around his room and out the window, but everything looked the same. He looked down at himself and he wondered 'Why do I feel different today?'

"Sigh" "Whatever I have to get ready to go to college."

Edward was a freshman in college trying to get a law degree to become a lawyer. He always wanted more though. That is why he often read stories and fantasized.

"Where is my backpack though?" "AHH! What!?"

He was surprised because just as he was wondering where his backpack was and thought about it, it appeared right next to him. There was nothing there one moment and then his backpack just magically appeared.

"How did this get here? Did it appear because I wanted it to? Did I do this? Let me try again. Yes I was right!"

He was happy because he tried once again and thought of an apple appearing in his outstretched hand.

He then wondered 'What happened to me? Did I become a god? It seems like whatever I think about will happen. I need to make sure I can control this power so I don't do anything by accident.'

'Power only works when I say or think I wish before any sentence.'

To test if it worked Edward thought about making the apple disappear from his hand and it didn't work until he thought 'I wish this apple would disappear.'

'Great I can do anything now. It will be just like in my dreams.'
