1 CHAPTER 0

"What is this... It's dark, harsh, and scary..."

There she was, never knowing what she was feeling towards everything that she was encountering right now. She laid at her bed as if her life was coming to an end.

Her eyes gleamed hopelessly while staring at a wet window where rain was trickling continuously. She knew she should be comfortable enough to sleep and think it was all a nightmare yet her mind was filled with pessimistic thoughts wiring inside her mind. The floor was crammed with shattered shards, dripping in blood.

Torn-out papers were falling slowly from the wall she had stuck on them. But they weren't just papers, they were written with notes of suicide and anger-filled writings. Her room was compressed with beautifully carved-out designs in all of her walls yet devoured by the veils of darkness.

Just as she was gazing at the window, she shuts her eyes and began to eventually move her fragile body. But out of a sudden, a dark shadow appeared in front of her sight. She felt a cold shiver traveling down her skin. Her heart rate increased. She felt frightened and rapidly grabbed the sheets from the floor and wrapped her whole body to hide from the very thing she was trying to run away from.

She deeply breathes heavily and sweat surged through her body. "Help...someone is watching me...SOMEBODY!!! I-it's here...I did nothing wrong to anyone, I need to go home! I just want to go home!" she cried out helplessly but no one was willing to help her. No maid or servant of the household was willing to save her from the creeping shadow.

She dwelled at her bed, trying to make sure it would go away but the monster was still there. It never left nor moved. The rain stopped and a streak of light glimmered at the room. She peeked from her sheets with her hands shaking with anguish. The monster was gone and so was the darkness yet she didn't hesitate to flee from it before it returns.

She fled from her room and ran as quickly as possible. She didn't look back and ran away from it as soon as possible. Her feet bled because of the shards that fell from her mirror like cookie crumbles. She hissed in pain but kept on going until she saw the stairs. Right below the stairs was her father. She stopped and noticed something. Her father held another one whom he had respected and loved as a daughter. She had beautiful hair that was white as snow, twinkling eyes, bright as the sun.

"Ah, yes the female lead, why did I not recall that?" she said to herself. As the light came up, the sun began to glow very brightly. She turned and preferred to walk away to avoid her father's attention. But just as she gazed back at her room, she saw it. It was there standing calmly while staring at her, lifelessly. She gasped and ran in the opposite direction.

"Why did I forget to not look back? Now it will come for me!"

As she ran hastily, the monster also followed her and began to keep up to her. With each step, blood seeped out of her feet and marking the carpet that she was running to. It was getting closer.

"COME BACK..."

It spoke with a whisper that was loud enough for her ears to hear.

"DON'T LEAVE ME!!!"

It soon became a scream, crying out to her desperately. It was getting closer, she closed her eyes and sobbed while catching air. Her heartbeat was beating very loudly that she could feel it.

"STOP!!!NO!!!!"

It raises its hands and prepared to grab her. She cried out loud and ran at an even faster pace fearful for her life. Tik Tok Tik Tok Tik Tok said the loud clock. It stopped. When she heard no steps she halted and saw that it floated back deliberately. She breathed some air and looked quickly in her direction. There were still a few corridors and when she looked back, it was far away and she looked back again.

"YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The monster was right in front of her and grabbed both of her shoulders. She screamed when she found the monster standing an inch from her. Her heartbeat cried out rapidly and her face became pale as ever. Her eyes were widened and tried to push the monster away.

"YOU SHOULD'VE LISTENED TO ME!!!"

She screamed even more and fell, crying.

"Milady?" said a random maid walking by the corridors. "Lady Lilith!" she told worriedly and put the blanket on her that she was carrying. She cried and then moaned sadly. She looked at her surroundings with caution and terror. The monster was nowhere to be seen. She looked at the maid but never recognized her. It didn't matter to her and shook, terrified.

I never expected to run from a monster because I had an own monster who I had dealt with. I never have existed in the first place because this person right here is not me but a different woman. I didn't have a maid and a big household to live. I lived in an apartment in New York to achieve my dream as someone famous.

I wasn't Lilithiverse Ruvena Ravilios, I was Gabriella Smith.
