I look over the ledge and see the flowing river as tears roll down my cheeks. Quiet sobs escape my lips as if I'm desperately calling out for help. I turn towards the person to see Scarlet. The one who did their best to help me. The one who gave me a little bit of hope. The one who made me feel happy. The one I trusted. The one who seemed to have betrayed me. I told her not to follow me. "Wh-why are y-you h-here? I told y-you not t-to f-follow me.", I say between sobs. "I couldn't leave my only friend alone in the state you're in.", she said as tears start to fall down from out of her eyes. "Let's sort this out. Tell me what's wrong, please! Just please, please don't jump!", she pleads as more tears start to fall. "I have to do this.", I say turning away from her. "YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANY OF THIS! YOU FEEL YOU AS IF YOU NEED TO CAUSE YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE PAIN!", she yells as if she understands the pain I'm going through. "I-I get it. The pain. I've been in the same place as you are right now. But I can't allow you to do this.", she says taking a few steps closer to me. "This isn't the way to get rid of the pain.", she says as rain starts to pour down on the both of us. "You'll only inflict pain on others. I don't want to feel that kinda pain. I might not make it through the pain this time.", she says and start to cry even harder. "WHY DO YOU CARE?! I DON'T GET IT! WHY DO YOU CARE SO FUCKING MUCH ABOUT ME?!", I yell at her bawling my eyes out. "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!", she yells back shocking bot me and her as she falls to her knees. I don't know why I did my next actions but I did. Maybe it was the way she said the words? Maybe it was because I knew it was my fault for her crying?
