12 Tenth Chapter

THE next day Phoebe woke up late. She doesn’t wanna go to the shop but she needed to keep herself busy so that she’ll forget about what she discovered yesterday.

When she's dressed up already, but was stopped when she saw who were waiting for her in the dining area. Her eyes were swollen because of so much crying that’s why she can’t look straight to them. She lower her head as she walks closer to them, she kissed her mom’s cheek.

“Good morning dear!” Her aunt greeted her with so much energy, she’s her mom’s visitor together with her unico hijo that is staring at her. She forced to smile and turned her gaze to her mother again.

“I’ll leave already mom, Mandy might need me in the shop now.” She said to her mom, she decided to just eat in a fast food restaurant or anywhere far from these man. She still can’t bear to be with him, she’s still hurting that she needs more time to heal.

“Aren’t you gonna eat first? Let’s have lunch together with your aunt and Yulo.” She’s ready to decline but Yulo interrupted her.

“Yeah you should eat first. It’s not good to leave with an empty stomach.”He said with a slight smile, she wanted to roll her eyes but she knew her mom would not like that kind of manner. Why is he even concern at her all of a sudden? Didn’t his fiancée told him that I have a knowledge about their arrangement already? Besides even if he doesn’t know that he’s not that concern at her before so what change?

It looks like she has no choice anymore but to join them, they are all looking at her when she finally surrender and sat down on the chair next to her mother’s. Her planned is to stay silent until they finish eating then leave right away after. But she was irritated when Yulo asked her.

“So what’s your favourite food Phoebe?” asked by him

“Why would you wanna know?” She can’t help but roll her eyes at him. What is he really wants? Is he that dense? Can’t he see that he have hurt her that’s why she’s trying to avoid him?

“Nothing I just want to know things about you. You know so many things about me, while I know only your name and where you live.” He said that made her laughed sarcastically. Is he trying to tell her how much of a stalker she is? She saw the two women smiled to what this dumbass said. Then it hit her.

“If you’re doing these because you think I’m such a pitiful creature then stop, I’m okay you don’t have to worry about me. I’m not suicidal so you don’t have to worry, I also have no plans on ruining your life with your future wife, I’m not that type of woman . So you don’t have to be kind to me just to make me feel better, because honestly I don’t need it. I don’t need your sympathy!” Phoebe can’t help but raised her voice. The three of them were stunned to the way she acted. She can’t take it anymore so she turned her back ate them and walked out of dining room, out of the house, and headed to her car parked on their front yard then drove it fast.

When she arrives at the shop she still hasn’t calmed yet, Mandy noticed that, that’s why he didn’t teased her or what. She was blankly staring at the glass door when someone she’s not expecting came in. When their eyes met the man smiled sadly at her.

“A-Amelia.” Her father’s voice broke when he said her name. Yes it was his father who visited her today, the last man she wanted to see in her whole life. She still can’t forgive him to what he did to her and her mother, he ruined their supposed to be happy family. It was still fresh to her.

“Dad don’t leave us please!” The young Phoebe sobbed while she was kneeling and holding his father’s leg, pleading him not to abandoned them.

“P-please d-dont leave.” But her seemed to be deaf to her plea because he still continues walking even if she’s holding him that’s why she got dragged by him.

“Phoebe l-let your daddy go, mommy still here for you.” Her mother tried to console her even if she herself is also crying. She slowly let go of her father while still crying.

Tears started to pool in her eyes when the memories of how her father left them to come with his mistress.

“What do you need?” she asked him. He’s about to hold her but she move away. She’s still angry at him. She can’t accept the fact the he left them for another woman, that he chose his mistress over her—his only daughter, his princess as to what he always says.

“P-princess I missed you.” He said to her miserably.

“Sorry but the moment you left me and mommy I already considered you dead. So please leave.” She spat her words with so much anger. She does not care if that would hurt him, he hurt her first, he broke her heart first.

“A-amelia—”

“Stop calling me that! I’m Phoebe and God knows how I hated my second name because of you!” She cutted him off. She pointed her shaking finger at him.

“What right do you have to come here and call me your daughter after you left me years ago! Mommy cried and suffered because of you, yet you still have guts to show your face to me? Why? Why did you come back?! We’re okay now, we don’t need you!” She said with so much hate and emotions she can’t contain. She’s about to continue when Mandy came in with Yulo? Why is he with Yulo? Mandy went out minutes before her father came in to buy food for them. Both Yulo and Mandy were stunned, but her father faced her again and tried to hold her but then she move away.

“Don’t touch me! You have no rights! Leave! Leave me alone!” She screamed at him which made Yulo come close to her while Mandy is forcing her father to leave the shop already.

“Hey calm down.” Yulo told her and wiped the tears on her face, she didn’t notice that she was already crying. It took them an hour before she finally calm down. Yulo was hugging her all that time caressing her back, she don’t know but Phoebe felt safe and at ease while she was in his arms.
