3 First Chapter

“What?!” Phoebe shouted at her mother after it told her that Yulo was out for a vacation.

“Why didn’t you told me about this earlier mom?” she asked her mother.

“Oh come on Phoebe, if I told you about this earlier I’m sure you’ll be hysterical, and you might also come with Yulo to wherever his vacation is. ” her mom—a bit irritated, told her. “Come on honey give him some time, you are always stalking him the past years. Let him breathe for awhile okay?” Luna added in a soft and calm way now.

“But mom! What if he’s with a girl right now? What if he already have a girlfriend and just keeping their relationship secret?! I can’t afford to see him with someone else.” Phoebe said as she was pacing back and forth.

“If that’s the case honey, then you have to accept it besides your feelings towards each other aren’t mutual at all.” Her mom said never minding how it would hurt her.

“Ouch mommy that quite hurts!” Phoebe said with an over reaction while holding her chest acting like there’s really a physical thing that hit her heart. Luna laughed to what her daughter did.

“But that’s the truth, has he told you already that he likes you? He didn’t right?” Luna added which silenced Phoebe because what her mother said makes sense. But she will not let her see that she’s affected to that statement.

“It’s been 4 years since I started showing him my feelings for him mom. It’s impossible that I still got no place in his heart besides both of his parents liked me, so I’m quite sure that they have told him nice things about me to build my image to him you know?” she explained, not sure if it’s for her mom or she’s just convincing herself that somehow she got a place inside Yulo's heart.

“Whatever. Just please don’t contact him today okay? Because for sure he’ll get mad to her mother for telling you his whereabouts even though it’s not Amanda who told you but me. He strictly prohibited his mom in telling you wherever he’s going before he took his vacation leave.” Phoebe felt a twitched to her heart to what her mother said, she feels that even if Yulo is just beside her it seems that he’s so far away because he’s hard to reach. But she couldn’t care less all she wants right now is to get him and to make him fall for her real hard and that’s what she’s been working for the past 4 years. She can’t tell that there is an improvement to their relationship—like as if they have— because every time she tries to get close to him, he will always avoid her, he can’t even look straight to her eyes. Maybe that’s how much he dislikes her because she’s so desperate. But still she doesn’t care about that, besides Yulo’s not pushing her away at all, just avoiding not pushing away, so she knew that there’s still a hope for the both of them.

Due to what her mom told her, Phoebe lost her enthusiasm to do what she’s supposed to do that day, that’s why now she’s just staring blankly at the glass door of her flower shop waiting for some costumers. But she was dragged back to reality when Mandy—her assistant in the flower shop—appears in her sight. Because she was startled to his presence she accidentally hit Mandy's face with the piece of paper she was holding.

“Ouch mamsh!” Mandy complaints because the tip of the paper hits his right eye.

“Sorry, it’s your fault because you startled me.” She defended herself.

“What do you mean startled? I have been calling your name for countless times already but it seems that you can’t hear me because you’re so busy staring at I don’t even know where. Hmm let me guess, you’re thinking and fantasizing about that dream guy of you again right? Your dream guy who doesn’t give attention to your existence.” He said, Mandy was a masculine man, he’s like a Greek God, but don’t let him speak because your fantasy about him might crumble down because of his feminine way of talking.

“Tss.” Said by Phoebe, she’s speechless because what he said was partly true.

Their argument ended when a man entered the shop, the man went straight to the counter—where they are both sitting—and asked.

“Well I would like to have something that would make my girl say yes to me later.” The man told them, genuine happiness is evident in his eyes.

“Oh why? What will happen later?” intrigued by Mandy.

“Well I’m kind of planning to propose to her later. You know we’re not getting any younger and I really see my future with her.” She heard the man said happily.

She can’t help but to feel envious, because every woman has a dream wedding, and lucky for this man's girlfriend that she’ll relived her dream wedding real soon together with the man she loves. What the man said stricken her also because just like him she’s not getting any younger anymore. At her age 28 years old, she’s now very much ready to face another chapter of her life and settle down. But how can she do that if she’s currently drowning with her feelings to a person who doesn’t seem to care about her existence at all. If Yulo wouldn’t reciprocate her feelings maybe she’ll just end up as an old maid.
