Another day at this prison. Great.
Time for stress and-
"OMGGGGGGGG MEL!!!!!"
What the-
I turned to see one of my best friends running and squealing like a pig up for slaughter.
She jumped me and I awkwardly hugged her back. "Hey, Amelia, what's up?"
"Melissa Hyman is that you???!!"
I looked towards the sound of the other voice coming from my left.
"Hello Julia," I responded between gasps of air. She hugged me so tightly that I couldn't breathe.
"Let go, please."
"Oh sorry my bad," she responded and finally let go of me while I caught my breath.
"You guys literally just saw me yesterday," I stared at them.
"Yesterday is too long, we missed you," Amelia replied for Julia.
Well, these are my best friends for ya. Here at school, they're just as crazy.
We heard the loud shrill of the bell, interrupting our conversation. Julia did one fix of her hair and then they both dragged me by the arms to the first period.
"Welcome back seniors! This year is where everything counts. It's your year and hopefully, it'll be a good one. Now with that said, I'd like you to meet our newest addition, a late transfer, Matthew Parks."
Everyone stared in his direction and I think a girl even swooned. Me? I just stared and stared dumbfounded, like a fish out of water. I wasn't expecting this for my senior year.
He stood at the front of the class smiling. Smiling at me. Was it because I was staring? Did he somehow plan this? Naa that's crazy. Right?
He made his way over to me while every girl broke their necks to catch a glance. He stopped right beside me and I was still staring.
You gotta be kidding me!
He smiled at her. "This seat taken?"
"Huh?" I stared confused until I realized there was an empty seat beside me.
"Um no go ahead."
He sat down and made himself comfy, all the while hearing snickers from my friends beside me.
The teacher's voice interrupted.
"Okay class, today we're learning about one of Shakespeare's plays..."
Her words were drowned out as I wondered one thing in my mind...
