1 Prologue

My chest was stinging so much, my breathe was becoming unstable by how rapidly I was running. The cold air hitting my face, it felt like it was goring my skin. I let out small whimpers, my knees were becoming weaker by the second, my pace was slowing down.

I could hear Noin behind me, his audible growls and bangs of his feet striking the ground. He was much more faster than me but I wasn't going to give up so effortlessly. Appa needs me. He needs to be safe.

"COME HERE YOU FUCKING BRAT!!" Noin snarled, I almost compelled to stop but I kept running, I looked back to see Noin catching up to me.

While I was running, I didn't watch where I was going, my body ran into a man with a dog on a leash, my body drop to the ground, the rough concrete base tearing my skin from my palms and cheek, I release a small yell as I tried standing up but the gust of wind made me tumble back down.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" The man with the dog asked me as I let out a minor cry, my palms were stinging from the collapse.

As soon as I perked up to the man with the dog, Noin came running towards me and immediately picked me up from the ground, his strong arms went around me, I let out a yell making the man with the dog yell at Noin.

"Hey Buddy, leave the kid alone!" The man cried out but Noin ignored him as he started to drag me back to the same street we were running from.

For the first time in my entire life, I don't want to go back to that garden Shed. I don't want to go back to Room.

"Hey man, I told you-"

"Mind your own fucking business!" Noin roared but the man with the dog wasn't having it. He let go of the leash and the dog ran up to Noin and bit his arm.

Noin let go of me with a loud holler, I fell to the ground again and I immediately went to the man and hid behind him. My body was shaking in both fear and from the cold air.

The man was talking to me but I couldn't hear, I knew I was safe with the man but all I could think of now is about Appa.

"Appa.."
