Chapter 25: A princes's story, Part 1

𝔸 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕣𝕥 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣

--In an unknown place, seen from a third party's eyes--

"What did you do, how could you fail me like that?!" (Man)

The man who said that is a tall man with a full silver-gray beard and black mustache sitting on what appears to be a throne wearing what could only be described as a crown.

"Father, I only did as you as..." (Woman)

The woman looks years younger than the man, and to be described simply, looks like Erza Scarlet from fairy tail. Her voice however is soft and gentle, and her demeanor is as a child seeking solace from their parent.

Interrupting the woman, "𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏! I do not want to hear your excuses. You did not succeed, and thus the only thing I can do is to either banish or execute you..." He paused for what seemed like an hour, although it was probably only a few minutes. "Now, seeing how you are my daughter, I wish to be lenient, but the laws are the laws, and even I am bound to them, so having to decide between death of my daughter or banishment, my personal choice would be to banish you... however, to show how much I care for you, and wish your happiness, I will allow you to choose which of these two options you want. To die now within your home country, or to die later, but never be allowed to return home w/o being in the care of another." (Man (king?))

"I thank my father... the king... for his kindness. I know that there is a way to have a banishment revoked after 30 years, however there is no turning back from an execution. So I implore you to allow me to depart, and if possible, I will get my banishment revoked as soon as is possible." (Woman (Princess?))

"I will allow it, I the king Hereby decree that the punishment of my daughter shall be banishment under our code of banishment!" (King)

Crying out whilst being taken away by what looked to be guards, "I thank you, and I'm sorry." (Princess)

--Following the princess--

𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘸 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘐 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳'𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘣𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 1000000 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘥𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘴𝘰 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦. Is what the princess thought to herself whilst being taken away, little does she know that she mouthed these words in such a way that one man was able to read her lips.

"Princess, what has happened is truly regrettable, I know you did not want any of this to happen, and so, I request to follow you and help you along your way." (Man)

"Edmond, You have been with me through much, but I could not pull you away from our country." (Princess)

"Nonsense, I have nothing binding me to any place, it's the people I bind myself to, and I promised the king when you were born that as long as you were alive, I'd help you however I can." (Edmond)

"You are the best butler... no, the best friend I could have asked for, but I do not feel right having you join me in my banishment." (Princess)

"I understand, but I beg of you, let me fulfill my promise to the king." (Edmond)

*𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘩* "Alright, you can join me, but on one condition. Shall I die before my banishment can be revoked, and you still are alive, you will cremate my body and bring it back to my father." (Princess)

"Understood, I will swear to it." (Edmond)

"Alright, enough talk, we have to enact her banishment, come on princess, and if you are coming Edmond, then you can freely follow." (Guard)

"Understood." (Edmond)

"Let's go." (Princess)

With that they walk out of a castle, through a large city, then board a carriage at the city wall.

The ride in the carriage would take several months to reach the edge of the kingdom under normal circumstances, however, there was something special about this carriage. This carriage flew through the air so fast it would make fighter jets cry.

So in a few minutes they were at the edge of the kingdom.

"This is as far as we take you, where you go from here, as long as you don't re-enter this kingdom, is up to you Princess. And Edmond, it is up to you where you go, if you insist on remaining with her, you will not be able to enter the kingdom either, but that is just as long as you are with her." (Guard)

"We understand, I thank you for not treating me as trash even though I have been banished." (Princess)

"I could never, I know it's due to the unjust laws and an accident that you were banished, so how could I ever treat a woman kind as you as trash?" (Guard)

The princess only smiles then departs into the unknown world, will she ever return to her homeland? Keep reading to find out.
