It is 5:00 am, and I just accidentally hit the snooze button on my alarm clock. Cursing, I get up to make my bed and get stuff ready to shower. Taking around nine minutes, my alarm clock once again beeps. This time, I actually shut off my alarm and think, 𝘍π˜ͺ𝘯𝘒𝘭𝘭𝘺. I get in the shower and end up singing the song "I'm Singing in the Rain." I have a terrible singing voice, so I keep my volume low so that I don't wake anyone else up.

After being done with my shower, I decided to go downstairs, skipping on cleaning my room (even though my mom would usually say that it's not 'that' messy). Then my 45-year-old dad, Darron, sitting at the dining room table, says to me "Good morning Daw-son". It's a family joke; my name is Dawson Sen, and, since I'm my parents' son, they purposefully have a slight pause between 'Daw' and 'son'. I reply "Mornin' dad" with a smile on my face. I can't make out his face at this time due to him being in the middle of reading a book while drinking tea.

When I walk towards the kitchen, I hear sizzling sounds. "Good Morning mom," I say. My 36-year-old mom, Sandy, replies "Morning Dawson, can you please get Sue outta' my hair, I'm trying to cook here?" So I sigh and say "Sue, did you see what dad has?" Then my 6-year-old sister, Sue, says "He ain't got nothing." I correct her "You mean he doesn't have anything? And yes he does, go and see." Sue replies "Yeah, right" but goes anyway and asks "Do you really have something, dad?" Dad says "Yes, here" and kisses her on the forehead. Then I say "See, I wasn't lying" and stick my tongue out at her with a big grin on my face. She smiles responding to dad's kiss then gives me a scowl that just causes me to laugh.

We 3 kids always get along well enough to have no true fights, the worst is always the fact that if I tell Sue to do something she will not do it unless our parents step in or Sue's twin sister, Sally, can actually convince her. However, on the contrary, Sally almost always listens to me, even if it is something she knows she shouldn't do. I think Sally has some sort of complex, but I plan to root that out in time.

My mom says "O.k. kids, sit down at the table, breakfast is ready." Then Sue says "Sally is still asleep." So I say "I'll go get her." Then mom replies "Thank you, Daw."

I go to the girls' room. I knock on the closed door and get no answer. I open the door to see Sally in her undies. I simply turn around and say "finished getting ready and come downstairs, breakfast is ready." Then Sally tries to say "Please help me finish Onii-chan" and I reply "Stop taking lines out of anime, and you can do it yourself." I hear her go "Humph" and then say "Meany," and knowing her she probably has her pouty face on. I reply, "Hurry up" while casting an eye roll to her comment. I then go back downstairs to the dining room.

In our house, the bedrooms and the bathrooms with a shower and bath are upstairs. However, there is one half-bath downstairs, it has only a sink and a toilet, but is what we call our guest bathroom.

When I arrive in the dining room I say, "She's getting dressed." Then Sue says "Did you see her?" trying to tease me. But I need not reply because mom glares at Sue and says "Well Sue, will you do the honor?" Sue looks a lot more timid than usual. We then join our hands together, and she says, "We are thankful for this food we have and for the many blessings we have received, we pray that we will always be fed, clothed, and housed and that many more blessings are yet to come our way," then after a short pause as we are about to separate our hands she quickly adds "and that my brother would be out of my hair forever." Then my mother pop's her mouth lightly and says "π—‘π—˜π—©π—˜π—₯! Say such things, you don't know what will and won't happen, and if you say something that even a part of you does not want to happen, and then it does, you will never forgive yourself!" My two sisters, Sally standing in the entryway to the dining room, and I stare in shock at my mom.

Our mom never yells at us, so her raising her voice even a little is shocking to us kids. After she has obviously calmed down a little (with all of us eating our breakfast), I ask her "Why did you get 'So' upset?" in a concerned yet questioning tone. She replies with "It's quite a story." Then I say "I'm all ears." So she tells us about her first love, upon her mentioning love Sue says "Yuck" and Sally looks at me and blushes, but both my mom and I ignore this and mom continues on.

She tells us about how at one point in time they had a big fight, and she had said: "I wish you would just disappear." And though she didn't mean it, it happened. One day they were walking along the road and out of nowhere he just vanished, then directly after that a bullet whizzed right past her. So thinking he might have gotten shot by a gun with a silencer on it, she looked down, then behind her, but nothing. She started to panic and search for him. Then she remembered, "Oh! I can just call him." But when she called him "This phone has been disconnected or is no longer in service." So she went to his home, but no-one was there. The next day she went to his work at the time he'd normally take his lunch break and found that he was a no-show. She gave them her number and asked them to call her if he didn't show up for work tomorrow. Knowing she was his girlfriend they did as she asked and called her the next day to inform her of him not showing up. She then called the police and reported him missing. Until now, he has not been found, and the police have presumed him dead.

Mom then said, "And because I remembered being the one to say 'I wish you'd just disappear' I blamed myself for his disappearance." Both me and dad simultaneously said: "It's not your fault." And to that, she just smiled then said: "Whether it is or not, I am happy that the outcome is far better than the path." I then asked "What do you mean?" and she said while smiling "If that had never happened, I would not have had all my lovely children and married this wonderful man," gesturing at my dad.

After that we finish eating then I do the dishes, it was my turn after all. Then after doing the dishes, I go to hop on my bike to head to school, Sally stops me and says "Won't you give me a kiss before you leave?" So I say "aren't you getting a little old for that," but still kiss her on the forehead. Then I ask Sue "Do you want one?" And get a reply of "NO!... Why would I?!" So I smile then ride off.

Now that I'm riding my bike let me tell you a little more about myself. I am 16 years old, go to Hudson's Bay High School in Vancouver Washington, and ride my bike to school every morning. My name is Dawson Sen. I do not have a middle name, nor does anyone in my family. All of us enjoy anime, manga, and light novels. My favorite are Isekai, that is to say, those in which the MC travels to another world other than their own. I so wish that was me, especially if I could take Carmen with me. Carmen is my cousin and is one year younger than me, we are in love, but everyone is against our love, so we thought up that we'd move to Japan so our love would be accepted, but if we end up in a world where no-one knows us, we wouldn't need to tell anyone about us being cousins, and could just be together, that'd make us both happy. My parents say they believe the bible, however, the words 'God' and 'Jesus' are never mentioned, nor do we ever talk about 'our heavenly father' or anything of the like. However, I've looked in the bible to see what it says about cousins being together, and all I've been able to find is just about 'not with thy mother, father, mother's parents nor siblings, and father's parents nor siblings', so I just don't understand why my parents are against it. They always say "Because it's wrong," and when I ask 'why' or 'how' they just say "It just is." I just wish they would let us be together already.

Currently, I am just casually riding my bike. I happen to look at my watch. "Oh, Shit! I'm going to be late at this rate." And.. Yes, I am talking to myself. I mean, who doesn't? To increase the speed of the bike, I quickly stood to apply the force towards my legs. I don't notice the red light. I hear a city-bus's horn, so I look. What I see is what looks like a hole or a crack, like someone broke the dimension. The speed is what I'd expect of a city-bus, then everything turns black.

When I come to and open my eyes I'm sitting on a chair with a gorgeous woman in front of me, long wavy colorful hair, deep penetrating yet soft and beautiful eyes, and a large smile on her face, and there does not seem to be anything around us. She says to me "I just saved you from dying by bus, my name is Seraphine, and I am what you'd likely call either a goddess or an angel." I immediately ask "Is the bible true?" And her reply is "In its own way, but I'm not at liberty to discuss details about such workings." I reply "O.K., so what now?"

"The decision is up to you," she says. I give her an inquisitive look. And she says "You have two choices, you either get to be sent back to your old world…" I interrupt her there and ask excitedly "Are you saying I could be sent to a new world?" She replies "Yes, that is your other option, however, if you choose that option you will never get to go back to your original world."

I then ask her about my mother's first love, and she says "Yes, I did give him this same option, and he chose to go to the other world, it is the same world I will send you to." I decide to ask "Is there anything more I need to know before I decide?"

"Yes, You can ask for any one thing in your new world, the man you ask of asked, never to need in this new world," was her reply, "However, if you choose to go back, I will leave you to your own devices to explain how you survived the incident."

I then inquired "Can I possibly choose to go to the new world with my cousin Carmen Shawl, after getting her permission?" She replied "Yes, and if she says no I will have her forget ever being given the option and send her back as if nothing happened and allow you to choose another item instead," all said with a smile on her face.

In the next moment, Carmen appeared in front of me. I said, "Car, I was just given an option by this young woman to be taken to a new world, being allowed to have any one thing in this new world, and thought what would a new world be without the one I love, Come with me?" She blushed and said "Do you even have to ask? Of course, I'll come with you, sweetie."

With that the goddess, or angel, whatever, the woman waves her hand and says "Well, I'll be transporting you to the new world now, hope you have a good life and a good wife." We both blush and I say "I'll try my best with the life part, but I have no doubt about the other part as long as we never part," which causes Carmen to blush an even brighter shade of red.
