18 Meeting Mr. Sniper

He then looked around and found that everyone had a B. W emblem on them.

Some of them were walking in a hurry, but stopped and looked at Zoro and TinyNose arguing since it was a rare sight to see as nobody dared be this noisy on this part of the harbor.

....

He then walked toward them and helped TinyNose, afterward they walked through the streets which were filled with life, as people were going through their day, with some of the merchants yelling loudly to attract some attention or the children who were running happily across the streets.

And the smell of the amazing street food that was spreading everywhere in the street and making the already beautiful place even more beautiful and making everything bustle in life.

While the three B. W agents walked the streets, Bryan was enjoying his walk when he asked TinyNose.

"You told us this part of the harbor is under the control of Baroque Works and that all the land near the port was our right?"

"Yes what about it"

"What did you do with the people who had rented a house or a shop?"

Bryan asked with a curious look on his face, TinyNose raised her head to glance at him, she then looked at the shops and house and said.

"Nothing, they still stay in them and they pay us the amount they originally were paying, as for that"

TinyNose pointed to a Huge Fort that was under construction and which had B. W's insignia on it.

"This is the headquarters of Baroque Works in East Blue, Eastormel Fort"

"The land owners were paid a generous amount of money and we helped them buy a house near this area.

"I see..."

Bryan and Zoro didn't have a big reaction when they saw and heard about this as they were starting to become numb, by all things Baroque Works has done since they came to the East Blue, but they do have just one question on their mind and that is.

'Why'

Why would Baroque Works buy all this land near the port without even using it and letting the who were living in it to continue living in it? It doesn't make sense...

The Fort was under construction it hasn't been long since Baroque Works came to East Blue.

The Fort had Ten massive, square towers above all, they were linked by small bridges that connected the towers making a wall that protected the fort.

It had refined windows which scattered generously across the walls in an asymmetric pattern, along with huge crenelations for archers and artillery.

The Fort had a vast gate with huge metal doors and various artillery equipment on it, which was made of black stones making it look intimidating to anyone who dares to attack.

Carts, boxes, tents, and various trade goods are stacked and packed outside of the Fort, ready to be sold. This Fort shows signs of expansion and construction as some parts are clearly built more recently than others, and the inhabitants are working on the upper floor.

TinyNose started to talk excitedly about all the good that Baroque Works had done since they arrived here, as they walked through the streets that were filled with people who were smiling happily, they felt more safe under the protection of Baroque Works agents.

Zoro and Bryan silently listened to her as they approached the headquarters of B.W.

They then arrived near the headquarters and saw it bustling with people, who either were in a hurry to do their work or construction workers doing their job.

"ONE!"

"WAAHH HAAH!"

"TWO!"

"WAAHH HAAH!"

TinyNose lend them into the Fort and as they walked through the gates and into Frontyard they found many men and women of varying ages gathered in uniformed lines next to each other practicing martial art under many instructors who were looking at everyone's from trying to find a mistake to fix it

And standing upon a platform was the head instructor as he was shouting at them to change their stance.

When TinyNose saw Zoro and Bryan looking at men and women who were practicing martial arts, she said.

"Those are the new recruit who joined Baroque Works with little to no prior fighting experience,"

Zoro and Bryan looked at the men and women who were training, some of them looked like they were in their 40s or even 50s, and right next to them were teenagers and children practicing, making it a bizarre scene.

"So we hired some ex-marines and martial artists to train them since many of our agents don't have the patience or previous teaching experience"

"..."

During the whole way, they didn't say anything as TinyNose was explaining to them about every room and its role as they gradually climbed to the 5th floor where Mr. Sniper's office is, the higher floors are under construction and so currently they will use the 5th floor as the office for the Number Agents.

As they were walking on the 5th floor, many of the agents would greet TinyNose with smiles on their faces, to which TinyNose returned with her own smiles while nodding her head as she passed by them.

They walked until they arrived in front of a door that had Mr. Sniper's office written on it

TinyNose Didn't Knock on the door, she just opened it and walked in as she said.

"I'm back with your partners"

"Nami!"

When TinyNose walked in a little girl turned her head and saw her she then yelled happily as she ran towards TinyNose with a big smile on her face as she hugged Nami.

"Did you miss me, Coral?"

TinyNose or as the little girl called her Nami said as she was smiling at the little girl and hugging her even tighter.

The little girl looked like she was 6 years old, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a dark green bow at the top of her head. She wears a light green dress.

"Yeah! a lot haha!"

Coral said with a smile on her face, she then buried her face in Nami's neck, covering herself in TinyNose's smell.

"Really Hahaha! I miss you too"

Nami laughed when she heard what Coral said, it warmed her heart, making her hug the child even harder than before.

'Her real name is Nami...'

While Nami was laughing and hugging the little girl, Zoro and Bryan walked into the room while thinking about what they heard.

They looked around the room and found it messed up with paper everywhere and some food, toys, and garbage littering the floor.

'Is he Mr. Sniper?'

After they finished looking around their eyes then landed on the man who was sleeping on his chair with his head laying on a table that was also messy like the room, it was filled with stacks of paperwork that needed to be signed.

"By the way Carol, where is your dad?"

Nami said after she finished hugging the girl, she remembered that she was still on duty.

And so she stood up and looked around for her father while carrying the blonde kid in her arms.

The little girl pointed her finger at the messy table and said.

"He is there"

"Sigh Come on not again..."

Nami sighed as she shook her head as she walked toward the sleeping man and then raised her fist while shouting.

"Wake up you messy old man!"

Her fist landed on the man's head, making him yell in pain.

"Ahhh!"

He then awoke as he grabbed his head in pain, and after the pain went away, he looked around the room with a confused look on his face only to find Bryan and Zoro in front of him, he then looked at his side and found Nami standing there with his daughter in her arms.

"Nami! Your back"

The man's confused expression was replaced by a happy smile when he saw the orange haired girl.

"Yeah and I brought your partners with me"

"Partners?"

Nami smiled back as she pointed at the two men.

"Isn't it supposed to be just one?"

The man said as he looked at the two, he knew that the green-haired one was Roronao Zoro and so he shifted his face to look at the other man with a bewildered look as he doesn't remember Mr. 1 telling him about this man joining.

"Yeah originally, but Mr.1 liked his strength and made him join us"

"I see... anyway welcome to Loguetown, I hope you like it here, I'm your partner Mr. Sniper nice to meet you."

The man stood up, he was a rather averagely tall man with a seemingly lean build, large sideburns, mustache, and goatee-style beard.

He was wearing a cowboy bucket hat and that made him look like a gunslinger. He also wears fingerless gloves and usually likes to don a cloak but right now he was just wearing a shirt and brown pants.

And then walked toward them with his arms spread out in a welcoming gesture, He had several guns strapped on his shirt which is usually covered by his cloak, he walked toward first Zoro and shook his hand with a faint smile on his face.

"Roronao Zoro, I've heard many great things about you,"

"I can't say the same about you.."

Zoro said as he looked at this man, since he walked into the room and saw Mr. Sniper, he felt a strong presence from the man, making him a little bit excited to fight him and at the same time impatient for the files that contain the information on the pirates.

When Mr. Sniper heard Zoro's reply he burst out in laughter while saying

"Hahaha! Your right I forget to tell you Hahaha!"

Afterward, he calmed down and told them.

"You can call me Daniel Masterson or as I'm known in the East blue Daddy Masterson"

"Your Daddy Masterson!" (Lol :) Daddy)

Zoro and Bryan had a surprised look on their faces as Masterson was well-known as one of the best if not the best bounty hunter in the East Blue.

"Hahaha! know who might you be? I know that Mr. 1 usually doesn't praise anybody"

Mr. Sniper said as interest filled his eyes when he shook hands with Bryan, who replied.

"I'm Bryan Ironheart, Captain of the BraveHearts nice it meet you too"

"Bryan what a nice name come in, come in"

Masterson said as he pulled both of them and made them sit on the sofa that was in front of his office table, he then raised his head and said to Nami.

"Nami can you tell Anne to bring us some drinks"

"Sure what would you like? hot or cold drinks?"

Nami asked, she then looked at Zoro and Bryan who replied at the same time.

"Sake/Beer"

"Okay then"

She then walked out of the room leaving the three-man alone to talk and get to know each other.
