39 38. Lily and Narcissa join the League Of Shadows.

Severus waited for their answers patiently.

"I find your lack of faith disturbing, Severus. I told you this before, I will tell you now, I will follow you. I want to be part of the league." Narcissa stated with conviction.

Narcissa wanted to help pureblood students like her and her cousin, making them understand that the world isn't as they were raised to believe it to be, not exactly making them understand nicely, more like beating the shit out of them to make them realize their errors.

Lily took a deep breath, calmed herself, and said "I will follow you, Sev. I want to be in the League Of Shadows."

Lily initially hesitated, she just wanted to be part of the project that is meant to help the students from their house, fearing her hesitance towards killing getting in Severus plans, but she decided it would be better to learn and experience why it was needed to kill them by standing beside Severus.

Severus smiled at them, content with their decision.

"Ok, from tomorrow, meet me every single day here, after dinner this WEEK for your training."

"Why just this week, Severus?" Narcissa questioned, confused why Severus highlighted this week.

"Oh... I will be taking a leave of absence for about a month or so."

"Why, Sev?"

"I need to make the products for the muggle company. I can't sit around here in Hogwarts, wait for the products to be made. I plan to launch my brand by the start of next year."

"un-huh" "Oh" Narcissa and Lily realized the importance of the time needed for Severus to invent these products.

Severus explained to them how he plans to expand a business in the muggle world.

"Are we going to be trained along with your subordinates, Severus?" Narcissa questioned.

"No."

"Why?" Narcissa asked, confused. The more students, the more targets for her to practice on.

"I don't teach them everything, Cissy. I just train them enough to handle the most Wizards/Witches. With you both, I will be training in you most of the things I know. Your training will be harder than theirs."

Severus knew that his subordinates were loyal to him, to the goal, but he wasn't some benevolent leader to provide them with everything.

He trained them to be skilled, versatile, and flexible in most situations but he didn't teach them everything he knew. He likes to keep a few things to himself.

With Lily and Cissy, he wanted them to be equipped with the most skills and knowledge they can get since they are going to be by his side and wanted them to be able to protect themselves in any dangerous situation, so he will be most likely teach them almost everything he knows.

Lily and Narcissa understood that not everything is safe to be thought to others, even those who swore loyalty to him.

"Un...Sev...Can you lend me the books on chemistry, biology, biochemistry?" Lily asked hesitantly.

"Why?"

"Well....you know, we used to attend classes in summer, I completed my studies till high school last year. I don't have any material on college material right now."

"I meant why do you need them?"

"Because I want to help you, I want to be a part of that research team that you want to put together, I have completed my muggle education alongside you for the past 5 years, you know what I am capable of. I completed my education till the high school level this summer and started to learn some basic college syllabi. If I have any doubts I will ask you, I was already planning on joining a college after completing my Hogwarts studies, you know practical knowledge/experimentation is an important part of science."

Severus smiled at Lily with satisfaction, this was the Lily he fell for, while he loved the sunshine part of her, her intelligence cemented her place in his heart.

She would be a valuable addition to his research team, she was skilled in both magic and science.

"Ok, Here"

A bunch of books starts to appear in his hand, along with a large suitcase.

"Here, I have already completed these books, and...."

Severus puts his hand in his shadow on the wall and pulls out a book from his shadow, which still makes Narcissa and Lily uncomfortable, and hands the book to Lily.

"Huh?" Lily looks at the book with curiosity.

"This is my notes, I have made several detailed explanations in it, detail process for the chemical reactions and their properties, I even noted the mistakes in them, so that you can learn from them, and..." Severus pushes the suitcase towards Lily "This suitcase contains most of the apparatus required for the study. Just break the size reduction charm placed on them by me."

"Wow, Sev. You always come prepared for everything."

Lily exclaimed, looking at all the materials Severus provided.

"A Slytherin trait, uncommon among the griffins."

Lily gives him a nasty look at the remark but doesn't say anything instead checks out materials inside the suitcase, vials, flasks, burners, burette, and various chemicals, the inside of the suitcase was huge.

"Thank you, Sev"

"Your welcome. But you better use this suitcase only when you are truly alone or you can practice here after practicing magic." Severus warned.

"Uh-huh," Lily nods.

Narcissa looks at two best friends from the side as they continued to talk about some muggle science forgetting about her for a moment with a pleasant smile plastered on her face.

She wasn't jealous that Lily was able to connect with Severus in a way she won't be able to, instead, she was glad Severus had someone to discuss his muggles subjects with.

She knew her strengths, and her strengths didn't lay in research, her strength lay in combat magic, management, and swords.

She is determined to be the best combat witch there is and support Severus.

She didn't like poking her nose in things she didn't have an idea of, just to have something common with Severus. He can like what he wants, she likes what she does.

"You both should stop your banter right now, it is already getting late. We need to return to Dorms." Narcissa informed, breaking their discussion.

Severus and Lily nod, ending their discussion.

"Both of you should return, I have a few things I need to do."

"Ok, but be sure to sleep, Severus," Cissy said.

"Sev does Mary knows about the partnership between you and Mr. MacDonald?"

"No."

Severus instructed them to not mention anything related to his muggle industry.

Lily used the shirking charm on the materials provided by Severus and pocketed them.

Severus noticed conflict inside Lily, but he didn't read her mind to know what troubling her since he knew today's revelations were too heavy for her, he decided to give her the time needed to come to terms with his secrets.

Lily decides to walk out of the room first to give the couple some alone time.

As soon as Lily leaves the room, Severus crashes his lips on Cissy's lips.

He puts his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

Initially shocked by Severus's sudden kiss, Cissy melts into Severus's embrace and puts her around Severus's neck deepen the kiss.

After a few seconds, both broke the kiss filled with lust and passion.

"I wanted to do that since the afternoon," Severus whispered huskily.

"Me too," Cissy whispered, lowly, losing herself in the arousal.

"You should leave or I might just keep you here with me tonight."

"I want to but you know we shouldn't. You have work that needs to be done." Cissy remained him.

"*Sigh* Yes," Severus said, disappointed.

His expressions brighten as if he remembered something good.

Severus whispers "We can make best of the night after Slughorn's party this Saturday."

Cissy blushed at the implications of his words but she answered him nonetheless.

"I will be waiting for it."
