37 36. Secrets.

After completing his dinner, Severus waited for the girls by the entrance of the Great Hall.

Lily and Narcissa met outside the great hall after completing their dinner and found Severus leaning by the wall waiting for them.

"Hey, Sev." Lily greets with a bright smile.

Narcissa simply winks at him and stands beside him.

"Evening, Lily."

"Where do you want these talks to be Severus? I don't think these walls are safe for your secrets" Narcissa said looking around.

Narcissa was being cautious not just about some student or teacher might but also the ghosts, some of them were notorious for causing problems and breaking people's privacy, and she knew Severus's secrets were too big to be talked in open.

"Follow me."

Narcissa and Lily nod and walk behind Severus.

Narcissa and Lily didn't notice Severus casting a disillusionment charm on them.

Severus cloaked all of their presence by using his powers.

They reached the Seventh floor of the left corridor.

Narcissa and Lily were confused why Severus was walking to and fro, but they followed him nonetheless.

After three rounds around a specific wall, a doorway opens in the wall.

'Where did this door come from?' Narcissa and Lily thought.

"Come inside," Severus said to stunned Narcissa and Lily.

Snapping back to reality, they followed Severus inside.

They're astonished by the interior, it was ginormous and had classic look to it with a bunch of furniture in the middle of the room.

"Please have a seat." Severus gestured them to sit on chairs in front of him.

"Now, ask me what you want to ask?" Severus said as he leaned back on his couch.

Lily looked at Narcissa, expecting her to question first since she had more right to question him due to their relationship as lovers.

"You can ask him first. I only have a few questions that need to be answered." Narcissa shrugged.

"Why were you so sad when you returned? why did you suddenly change? I still doubt you suddenly woke and said ' Yup, from today, I am going leave that shitty spoon-fed Xenophobic ideology behind and start new.' What were you doing on that night when I caught you injured? Why are suddenly buddy-buddy with six people from other houses? Why do you keep missing classes? Where are do you disappear all the time? Is this the rumored room of requirement? Are you the Half-blood Prince? 'And How was your first time?!'"

Lily blurt out everything she wanted to ask in a single breath, without considering what she was asking, and was breathless by the time she completed to ask what she to know.

Narcissa and Severus's facepalmed and blushed madly.

Lily finally caught a breath, realizing what she asked, she flushed due to embarrassment.

"Oh Merlin, Please forget the last, please, I just blurt that out. It was just for the sake of science, Yes, for SCIENCE! it was for a case study! Oh god, just ignore the last part. I swear I wasn't thinking anything sexual, it just was purely for educational purposes. That it! Merlin, this is embarrassing please forget the last part."

Lily frantically moved her hands and continued to say, She felt exposed, she never wanted Severus to know this side of her. 'Merlin, Severus would start thinking that I am kind of pervert?'

Severus and Narcissa got their embarrassment under control and looked at frantic Lily, they both smiled and thought how cute she looked as she blurts out some Bs to cover her mishap.

"Stop moving your hands, Lily. I will ignore the last part."

"Merlin, You must think of some pervert."

"No, I don't. You were always loosely mouthed when you questioned me. Though I believe, you should conduct your research somewhere else." Severus said teasing smirk.

Lily wisely didn't say anything since she knew Severus would tease her about it.

Narcissa leans and whispers in Lily's ear " See, this is why I told you to keep your perverted side in check, Evans."

"Merlin, I am not a pervert. Can't a girl be curious?" Lily grumbles under her breath.

Severus seeing that Lily calm down, spoke

"I will answer your questions in a second but I honestly want to know, are you both some kind of empaths? Why do you instantly know when I am sad or feeling down. The first thing Narcissa said to me was ' I can see the sadness in your eyes.' "

Severus joked just to lighten up the mood for what he is about to reveal to Lily. He knew Lily's and Narcissa's reactions towards his secrets would be different, but he decided to come clean to his first-ever friend and best friend.

Narcissa knew what Severus was trying to do, she understood that her upbringing and Evans were different, and they would react differently to his deepest secrets. She honestly didn't know how Evans would react. To her, Evans was a sweet, cheerful, innocent girl. She spectacled that Evans react badly to it, though she might be wrong.

Lily smiled and replied "Secret. I know you long enough to know when you are sad or not."

"To answer one of the questions, This is the rumored Room of Requirement."

"Wow...I thought it was just a myth." Lily exclaimed.

Narcissa too was stunned at the newfound discovery, she heard many rumors floating around in her dorm about this room. She just didn't voice her surprise and remained impassive.

"Answer to many of your questions, like why I skipped classes? Why do I have friends outside Slytherin? blah blah is that I am starting an Organization."

"What kind of Organization?" Lily was interested in what Severus was saying.

"Before I answer that, how do you feel outside your house? How do people treat you in the muggle world and here in the Wizarding World? do you know how some muggle-born Wizards/ witches are treated by their families? What do you think will have if muggles other than your parents discovered that you are a witch."

Lily's mood shifted, she smiled wryly and answered Severus with honesty.

"I feel like an outsider, though my housemates and friends make me happy. I still hear people call me slurs and that I don't belong here, back home, My sister calls me a freak. While some people treated me badly in both worlds, some were very good to me. I feel like I don't have a place where I belong." Lily took a deep breath and continued" I know how some Muggleborns are treated by their families, I am blessed to have my parents. If some muggles discovered that I am a witch, I am sure they would give to the church."

Lily tried to joke at the last part but she couldn't find it in herself to laugh, she felt insecure sometimes in both worlds, she never openly stated her worries to anyone, not her parents, not to Severus.

She didn't want them to worry about her, but she held the secret of her insecurities for a long time, tried to mask it with Happiness, it got harder. She never felt those insecurities when she was near Severus, but these insecurities hit her hard after Severus called her Mudblood and she broke off their friendship.

Severus smiled sadly understanding Lily's worry.

"You belong here, you belong there in the muggle world, I will always be there for you," Severus reassured her.

"You don't need to feel like it anymore, I am too here for you. Though I would hex you sometimes when you annoy me." Narcissa teased her to lift Lily's spirits.

Lily stuck her tongue at Narcissa, " I love annoying you, I think it is becoming my hobby."

Lily felt happy listening to their words.

"Coming back to the Organization, what you told was a part of the reason for this Organization. This Organization will help all those who are treated badly due to their surroundings and give them a place to stay till they complete their Seventh year in a safe environment."

Lily's eyes widened, she opened her mouth wide and shouts " That's an awesome idea, Sev. We can help so many students. But do you have the money to do it? I don't purebloods are generous o help others."

She liked the idea, but she knew the execution required a lot of things, like money, students' willingness to get helped, which was a major part of this project, some people didn't like to be helped and talk about their house life, like Severus used to avert the topic when she brought up about his family.

"Watch it, Evans. Not all Pureblood are bad," Narcissa warned.

"Ok, except her, let's say hypothetically some of them are good, but I don't people would fund this organization. And some students don't even like getting help, some bad parents won't let their kids go."

"-:- Chuckle-:- When did I say I need money. I can fund this whole project by myself. About the students who won't open up, we will start with those who are open to receiving help, slowly others will follow."

"Wow... you certainly became rich after you inherited Prince's family. I am in, I want to help others, though I don't have money, I can help you in taking care of the students" Lily said enthusiastically.

Severus took a deep breath, he knew lily would react this way but she didn't know the full extent of what she wanted to get into.

The reason he wanted Lily in this was because of her nature that would help him with the students and her various talents in magic and science. By no means, Lily Evan was average, she is a bright witch and diligent student in science as well, her talents are too good to lose.

And if he wants Lily to join then he should tell her what she is getting herself into.

"Don't be too quick to decide, Lily. There is more to my plans than that."

Lily raised an eyebrow and questioned, "What do you mean, Sev?"

"This is just one part of the organization, there is another part."

"What is it ?" Lily asked curiously.

"The League Of Shadows."
