23 Purifica!

Fearish was behind Cyril and that was suspicious. What if the man pushed Cyril to fall on this slippery road. The safety fence on the right of the slippery stone steps is rotting. Cyril was sure that he would not be able to hold his weight if the bad things in his mind happened.

"We're almost at the bottom!" From behind Ferarish informed.

Cyril quickly returned to the real world, looked intently ahead, and discovered that what Fearish had called for did exist.

The me that Cyril entered was damp. Once his feet hit the ground, he knew he still had a long way to go to find Adriana. The main problem now is how long will the exploding magic traces last in the air? Then is it true that this former magic belongs to Adriana?

Now Cyril was completely confused about where he was. The information obtained from the novel and currently being lived has several differences. First, Cyril has magic. In the original Cyril, books can only play the sword very well. Second, the events that occur are faster and somewhat different. Look how Adriana was in danger and then picked up by the crown prince straight away. In the story, the crown prince only assigns to his troops.

"Are you going to give up now?"

Unfortunately, the knight captain in front of him still hated him for not being worthy of being in the palace knight army. "Sorry, Captain, since this is the official duty of the Starting One, I was so excited I didn't know what to do!"

"Your behavior is disgusting."

Fearish went through it now. Cyril could hear the knight captain calling the other members and plotting. Cyril was left behind without a word.

Cyril happily followed his knight captain's game. He strolled while noticing the silver glow that no one else seemed to be able to see. He did not understand why he could see the silver flash that seemed to be trying to guide the way.

"Captain, the path forks!" cried one of the knights who were arranged to go first. Pawns are constantly sacrificed.

"I can see it, come back here!"

So the knight who was at the front withdrew, joining Fearish. Unfortunately, Cyril did not join them.

Cyril's eyes flashed silver that was still clear. Then looked at Fearish who was deep in thought. Then he smiled, better to get rid of the person who would stab him in the back. After all, according to Fearish Adriana's logic, she will not enter me, which seems to be collapsing at any moment.

"Captain it looks like the one on the left is suspicious." Cyril started it.

Fearish raised his gaze, glaring before finally looking away. "That place looks like it's about to collapse! Even knights like us would think twice about entering. It's not to be expected!"

"Which path shall we take, Captain?"

"Right!"

"What if Princess Adriana is on the left?" Cyril praised himself for having managed to irritate Fearish.

"Then you can take the option that was left behind."

After saying that Fearish didn't care what Cyril was doing anymore. Cyril smiled, stepping into the left path which was damp and mossy. Slightly smaller and old-looking street. As Fearish said the road would collapse without even any effort.

Unfortunately, Fearish didn't know that along the way someone had strengthened the walls with magic. Cyril could see a silver glow that was in the shape of a palm smaller than his hand. Maybe this is Adriana's, Cyril muttered to himself.

The tunnel he had chosen was long and slightly darker than the other. Cyril could faintly feel a cold breeze. The wind seemed to tell him that Cyril shouldn't be there.

Now that he was getting deeper, he could hear a woman's pleading voice. Is that Adriana?

Cyril quickened his footsteps, he saw the exit at the end not far away. Another room was slightly smaller than the entrance and was enough to accommodate a dozen people to fight.

The stones in the room were a little different, there was a silver flash that Cyril followed everywhere. He would soon find out who this exploding magic power belonged to and give him a hint.

Cyril immediately pulled his sword at the sight of the star lying half unconscious on the floor. Their swords lay quite far away, some were stuck in the rocks. The force that beat them down seemed to be very strong.

"Please, Ferdinand, let go of the stone!"

Cyril focused his gaze on the woman who was speaking now. Her dress was a bit dirty, her sleeves were even torn. She tried to dodge time and time again the attempts of a man named Ferdinand to catch him.

"Princess Adriana?" Cyril needed confirmation that the woman who was still retreating and dodging every magic thrown at her was the one who had to be saved.

After Adriana turned to him, Cyril knew how beautiful she was. He understood why Cyril in the novel and Algis both didn't want to give in.

"Run over here, Princess. I will get you out of here no matter what!"

As per Cyril's request, Adriana was now running as hard as she could toward him. The man named Ferdinand turned around and followed suit. The man's face was a little strange, not human. There was something Cyril couldn't explain.

Ferdinand's face turned white as if his skin had been peeled off. His eyes were bloodshot, then he didn't seem to hear anyone. It can be seen from how the guards probably tried to defend themselves and even fell.

Adriana was behind Cyril. "Take away the rock in his hand!"

Cyril got into a stance. He told himself not to hurt the person chasing Adriana. Magic attacks can barely be seen by non-mages. However, Cyril could see it.

The first attack came and Cyril was able to jump out of the way, as well as the second and third attacks. He slashed his sword, using the non-sharp part as a fulcrum, and gave two slashes to Ferdinand's shoulder and wrist.

Cyril's attack was able to loosen Ferdinant's grip, using his foot, Cyril unleashed another punch, sending the rock that Ferdinant was holding flying away.

As soon as the rock slipped out of his grasp, Ferdinand collapsed and started convulsing. Her pale skin returned to its original color. He didn't move again after that.

Cyril's gaze focused on the rock that slipped from Ferdinand's grasp. It seemed to throb and somehow looked so beautiful. Cyril vaguely seemed to hear someone say from there. A woman's voice called out his name.

"Mom?"

Cyril didn't even notice when he called his mother. He stepped, eager to touch the stone. It felt like the rock was going to tell him something. The closer he got to the rock, the louder the female voice Cyril heard. Accompanied by the sound of crying.

"Purifica!"

The rock shook, floated, shone, and then Cyril could see black, lifelike smoke hovering, and then the falling rock thudded gently downwards.

The voice Cyril heard disappeared in an instant.

"That doesn't seem like a good stone. Are you all right, Knight?"

Cyril turned his head, looked at Adriana's beautiful face, and quickly fell. "Yes, I am fine, Princess!"
