1 Chapter 1: What Did I Do?

"He is too strong doc, we can't hold him much longer!"

"Keep him steady and don't let him get off your grip!"

"We've removed everything for the safety of everyone. Don't worry he won't remember a thing."

I woke up.

I am in my room. Suddenly a nurse went in to my room.

"Thank god you're awake now Mr. Valence, you've been asleep for almost two months now." she said.

"Who are you and why are here in my room?"

"I am your nurse that is assigned to take care for you until you're awake." she replied.

She was carrying a bag.

"Are feeling fine now sir? If so, just say it to me so I can discharge you from my care so I can't bother your life anymore," she asked.

"I-I'm feeling better now, thanks." I thanked her. "My pleasure helping you but I have one last thing to ask you, do you remember anything?"

"What do you mean?" I'm confused into what she asked me.

"You got into an accident that severely injured your head and it took two months for it to completely heal, so do you still remember that where you live,your school, your... friends." she said.

"Well this is where I live, and I am junior in Ridge High and I don't remember if I have any," I honestly answered.

"You don't remember all the things you did?" She asked. "What did I do?" She stiffened at my question.

"Sorry, but the d-doctor said that it's better for you to just let your memories come naturally rather than forcing you to remember anything," she explained, I can feel fear on her voice.

"Thank you for that information." I thanked her. "If there's any problem with your health just call me next door, I only lived at room 356." she went to the door and I waved her goodbye and she left.

I looked at the clock and it's 7 o'clock in the morning, I got to go to school, I took a little bath and dressed up and my stomach growled.

The nurse left the bags she's carrying earlier here. I looked inside and it's filled with food, I reached for a sandwich and I went to school.

I am waiting at the bus stop near my apartment the school bus stopped right in front of me. I got in and the loud bus, became silent. All eyes are on me and burning right through me.

While I was finding for an empty seat, their gazes are still on me when I saw a empty seat the student that is beside it panicked when he saw me, he left and went to the back row.

The whole ride was agonizing, I can still feel their gazes burning right through the seats. The bus stopped and the doors opened, students flooded the doors. I stood up from my seat and every became silent, everyone make way for me, still gazing on me. Until I got out of the bus.

I walked to the entrance of the school and everyone gazes on me, plastered on all of their faces is... fear, fear of me.

I entered the school and the noisy halls went silent, like what happened outside and the school bus. What did I do, that they are doing this to me.

I just pushed forward the hall going unto the Principals office to go get my locker number and the code to open the lock and also my schedule.

I reached the Principals office and I entered the office the teachers inside went silent at the sight of me. "Terrence! You're.... okay now! W-we are so glad to see you again!" One female teacher greeted to me.

"Where do I get my schedule and locker number Miss...." "Ms. Crock, just call me Ms. Crock." nervously she said. "And for your schedule and locker," she hands me a three pieces of paper, one is folded and one is where my locker number and the code to open it is listed, and the other one is my schedule.

"Open it later, when no else is around," she mouthed to me. "I exited the office after I received what I came for and went to my locker.

The halls are starting to become scarcely populated. My locker is from away from the entrance, it's almost at the end of the hall. I finally reached my locker, locker no. 1331. I unlocked my locker and put in my stuff I won't need for my first subject.

I remembered to open the folded piece of paper Ms. Crock gave to me. 'Start questioning yourself, it will help you remember what you did and fix this whole mess, start questioning everything to protect yourself from harms. You need to remember what you did to fix this whole mess and don't drink those pills that they've prescribed.'

'I start questioning myself? How? And what did I do?

I just returned the paper inside my locker and closed the locker and left to Math class.

When I got there, I went inside and the whole class went quiet, still, all of their eyes are on me. "Welcome back Mr. Vain!" The teacher greeted me.

"Since you were late you will have a punishment" I just looked at him without any emotion in my eyes. "B-but since y-you just came back from the accident, I'll just let pass!" I went to my seat.

"Students, please stand up for the pledge of allegiance to the school." All the students and me stood up and raised their right hand. " I pledge on the flag of this school that symbolizes knowledge, cour-," my ears stung it is making hard to hear everyone.

All I can hear is, "You need to remember. You got to remember. Remember who you are." over and over again. I covered my ears and squated to prevent me from hearing anything.

Then it all stopped, I uncover my ears looking everywhere, I stood up and everyone is looking at me. "Are you not feeling well Mr.Vain? Take him to the clinic please."

I tried to stood up but my legs went limp. Thankfully two of my classmates caught me and brought me to the clinic.

I couldn't hear everything clearly, my eyesight is blurry but I still saw that one of my classmates talked with the nurse and the nurse nodded at him. I am spiralizing.

The nurse went to me, she is carrying a tray. "Here is your medication." How did she knew about my medication, and the exact medicines.

"I've talked to the doctor that took care of you of what is you medication and he prescribed this, there I said it no more questions now and just drink it." I took the pills on the tray and I pretended to drink the pills and just hid it on my hand and drinked the water.

The nurse went back to her table. I suddenly felt dizzy but eyes are getting heavy, "what is happening to me?"

The nurse came to me slowly, "you think that I won't that you drinked the pills that I gave you?" she said smiling at me. "What did you put in the water?" Her image is starting to wiggle.

"Just some sleeping drug, sweet dreams sweetheart." I feel asleep.

* Alarmclock Rings*

I woke up.

I looked around, 'what happened yesterday?' I still remembered that I went to school yesterday and went to Math class then, pain strikes my head.

Did I drink last night to have this kind of headache? I just pushed forward, I went to the bathroom to take a bath and change my clothes.

I prepared breakfast. Ate it quickly and went to the bus stop just outside my apartment.

When I went inside the school bus, the atmosphere is different. It was loud and warm, very different from yesterday which is ice cold, quite and creepy.

The whole ride was short, again very different from yesterday. I got out of the school bus and went inside the school. As I enter, the whole hallway is loud, full of laughter, gossips and smiles.

It's good that they are not minding me. I walked to my locker. I put my stuff that won't need for Math class inside my locker.

"You're back now." Someone whispered on my left ear. I turned to face him, I looked at him, he slammed me to the lockers. "What did yoy do to my girlfriend?!"
