31 031 | could no longer

Natasha had no idea what woke her up perhaps her body did on its own. She knew she woke up a little bit early, but she didn't know what time was it. She suspected it was four or five o'clock in the morning, but it wouldn't hurt to check the exact time, so she was searching for her phone around her bed using her right hand.

It didn't take her until she touched her phone. She pressed the lock button to see what time was it. Just as she suspected, she woke up around four, but it wouldn't take long until the hour hand would point to five.

She pressed the lock button again and sat bolt upright. She blinked for a while to shake off her drowsiness before she would hop off her bed. She descended the stairs after she went out of her room and then went to the bathroom.

She turned the faucet on. She started to wash her face and then wiped her face and hands with the clean cloth that was hanged beside the mirror. She grabbed her toothbrush and toothpaste next to brush her teeth clean.

She was refreshed that she could no longer feel the drowsiness. She wiped her lips and hands again with the clean cloth and then threw it in the laundry basket. She would wash and dry it later.

She went out of the bathroom to proceed to the kitchen. She didn't want to bother Bryan doing the breakfast, so she decided she would cook. She opened the fridge to see what breakfast she should prepare in the morning.

It seemed the fridge had a lot of stock, so there was a suitable ingredient whenever she thought of cooking this and that. She had an idea of what to cook, so she searched for those ingredients in the fridge and cabinets. She could cook Scrambled Egg Tacos with the ingredients she found.

She placed the skillet on the stove and then turned the stove on in medium heat. She grabbed the bottle of olive oil, poured the oil on the tablespoon, and then poured the two tablespoons of olive oil on the skillet. She added one can of black beans, one-half tablespoon of cumin seeds, one clove of finely chopped garlic.

She seasoned it with a one-eighth tablespoon of salt and pepper. She waited two minutes for the garlic to turn golden brown. She added the spinach, removed the skillet from heat, and toss together until the leaves just barely wilt.

She poured one tablespoon of lemon juice and then stirred. She turned off the stove. She grabbed the bowl, poured the eight eggs, poured one tablespoon of water, poured one-half teaspoon of salt and pepper, and then whisked together.

She turned on the stove in medium heat and then placed the skillet on the stove. She poured one tablespoon of olive oil, poured the whisked eggs, and then she used the rubber spatula every few seconds until what doneness she desired. She turned off the stove once she was done.

She lightly charred the eight corn tortillas to the broiler and then she filled the tortillas with the sauteed black beans with spinach, cooked scrambled egg, sour cream, coriander, and white cheese. She didn't know if these tasted good, so she would have a taste. She hummed in satisfaction once she found out it was all good.

She filled the electric kettle with water and then turned it on to boil the water. She didn't know what drink would her parents like, but it was better to heat the water, so her parents could pour the hot water on the drink of their selection. She decided to have a hot chocolate drink after thinking about what she should drink between tea or hot chocolate.

She ate the two scrambled egg tacos and then drank her hot chocolate once it cooled down for a bit. She thought of taking a walk outside, but her parents still weren't up, so she grabbed a permanent marker, wrote her message on the violet sticky note, peeled it from the stack, and then stuck it on the fridge. She washed her mug, placed it on the rack to dry it off, and then went to grab a plastic wrap to wrap the remaining scrambled egg tacos.

She removed her slippers to wear her sandals and then went out of her home. It was quite frigid outside that she shivered for a bit, but she was pleased that she wore a sweater, not a t-shirt. She rubbed palms to keep it warm and then started to take a walk.

She didn't realize that she had a smile on her lips when she saw a mother and father who looked delighted to see how energetic their child was. Something caught her attention, so she paused her steps once she saw two girls from the distance who were sitting on the bench. She noticed that the two girls were watching something from the phone and looked excited, but she wasn't sure which one of them owned the phone.

She recalled something from her past and then made a faint smile, realizing that it was all from the past where she could no longer return to. She thought of how nice it would be if it stayed, but the world wasn't so nice.
