4 004 | her boyfriend

Lawrence was shocked that the stranger told that. He glared at the stranger and Natasha wasn't excused either.

"You wench!" Lawrence raged at Natasha, "You're pretending to be some sort of virgin when you have a boyfriend all along! You liar!"

She couldn't believe how the situation got even more complicated because of the lie that the stranger told. She wanted to slap Lawrence for jumping into conclusions and for telling such hurtful words, but Lawrence wouldn't tell much if not for the lie of the stranger.

She glared at the stranger. "Why did you tell a blatant lie!?"

Lawrence laughed. "Now you're acting? You're so desperate not to be caught you have a boyfriend!"

"Just listen to me, Senior Lawrence! I told you it's a lie of this stranger! I don't even know him!" she insisted.

"Do you think I'll believe that bullshit, you whore!?" Lawrence found it hard to believe after the stranger got himself involved.

"Explain to him that you lied, uh," she didn't know what was the name of the stranger. She didn't have a clear look at the uniform of the stranger earlier, but now she had a clear look at it, so she saw the attached nameplate on the uniform, it showed Baker Cinnamon. "Care to explain, Mister Cinnamon!"

But Baker ignored her and still continued to have a fixated look at Lawrence. "You know, you should take your leave while I'm still being considerate here."

Lawrence noticed that he got attention from countless people who witnessed the situation.

"We shouldn't let a harasser get off the hook," Girl A said.

"Yeah, damn right!" Girl B agreed.

Lawrence had no choice, but to flee. "You'll remember this, you manipulative bitch!"

Lawrence ran off, almost stumbled, but he didn't.

"Is it all right that you'll let that harasser get off the hook?" Girl B asked.

"Y-Yeah, it's all right," she didn't want to let the situation got even more complicated than it was.

"You're so kind, Miss!" Girl A praised. "Oh, your boyfriend as well!" Girl A added when she saw Baker.

She almost choked at what the Girl A told. "He's not my boyfriend!"

Girl A found that hard to believe. "I understand why would you tell that. You're having a hard time expressing it, aren't you?"

She placed her palm on her face. "That's not it!"

"You really hooked a large fish, Miss!" Girl B was amazed. "He's too handsome! How lucky!"

"Oh, shoot!" Girl A exclaimed. "We should go or else we'll miss the bus!"

Girl A and B ran off to catch up on the bus.

She thanked the Heavens that was over. She still had to talk with Baker, so she looked beside her, but Baker was nowhere to be found. She got exasperated from Baker because he caused a misunderstanding and that misunderstanding would stir up tomorrow once she attended school.

"Nat!" she heard Cassie yelled, approaching her with a wave.

Her exasperation about Lawrence and Baker disappeared once she saw Cassie. "Cass!"

"I didn't know you have a boyfriend, Nat," Cassie teased.

Just as her exasperation disappeared, it appeared again when Cassie teased her. "So you were here the whole time! You should have helped me!"

Cassie chuckled dryly. "Well, I was supposed to, but Mister Cinnamon stepped in. It was like a real-life television drama!"

She forgot that Cassie was such a romance enthusiast. It just dawned to her that Cassie mentioned the surname of Baker. She recalled that the uniform of Baker had an insignia of Jones High School where Cassie attended, so there was a small possibility she knew Baker, but she still wanted to hear the answer from Cassie.

"How come you know the surname, Cass?" she asked.

Cassie noticed her phone lighted up. "You might want to pick that call, Nat?"

She gasped when she forgot about her parents. She accepted the call in a hurry.

"I thought you wouldn't answer, Dear! I'm glad you did answer!" Diana was relieved.

"We heard something a while ago. What was that?" Bryan asked.

"I'm sorry if I can't tell it yet, but I will once I went back," she answered.

"Aren't you a little bit late for home, Dear?" Diana asked.

"I forgot to inform you about me being late because it's all of a sudden. I met up with Cassie at the nearest McDonald's and eat there," she answered.

Cassie went near to her phone. "Hello, Aunt, Uncle!"

"Hello, Cass!" Diana greeted.

"Don't stay too late, Cass, and Nat. You got that?" Bryan reminded.

"Of course, Pops! We will be back in our homes, safe and sound!" she assured.

"All right, Dear. We will end the call. Please have fun!" Diana said.

Diana ended the call and then Bryan followed.

"So back to the question a while ago, Cass," she wanted to know the answer.

"About your boyfriend— oops, I mean Mister Cinnamon? He's popular at our school, so I got to know him by name and looks," Cassie answered.
