What genre?

Floors covered with shattered glass… I still remember my mother's scream.

I failed to get into the university she wanted… I still made it into the second best university, but she only cares about the first, going on about how my friend got accepted… but both of her parents were from that university and they work as a professor there!

Being always pressured, being compared to my genius half sister who became the New York best seller that many universities wanted.

But I'm normal, I'm not a genius, I don't have anything special about me, I don't have my father's backing, nor my mother's.

But I still respect my half sister, you know? as soon as she graduated, she cut contact with my dad so he never heard anything from her after that. She never called, my dad didn't call either as he didn't really care and got a third wife right away(my mom).

My parents does make the worst parents, but I still couldn't ditch them like my half sister or my half brother because I felt bad… but I guess today is the day I leave now.

After walking through the dark corridor since forever, seeing the sun almost blinded my eyes.

Actually, I did get blinded.

I know by the warmth that the sun is over me, and by the sounds of birds singing and leaves waving so closely that Im outside.

I can't see, but I have this feeling that I reincarnated… I crawled around, only touching nothing but dirt, leaves, rocks, and more dirt… until I finally found the perfect stick.

I barley had any energy left in me… but I somehow stood up and found my way down the mountains.

As I heard people talking from afar, so picked up my pace. Finally arriving to a town, I collapsed.

It's night, I can finally see now! my eyesight is actually better than my original eyesight.

I'm currently laying down on a… bed? since when was I indoor-

"Why did you bring that stranger in for?! you know we're going through a war! look at that stranger's eyes and hair!!! he's obviously not from here, what if he's a spy? do you want to get captured with him??? we're not exactly in a safe situation if some guards decides to check our status!"

War? spy? and 'him'??? I'm sure my assigned body is-

not female anymore…

The door slammed opened while I was looking at my new body part-

"I'm throwing this stranger out while he's still knocked out cold- WHAT THE FU-"

[Adjusting scenes]

I was beat up pretty badly… my new body is still weak after all.

"So where are you from?" The lady that was screaming 'asked' with a club in her hand.

"Um…" WHAT SHOULD I SAY???-

[Hidden land]

"-I came from the hidden land! wait wha-?"

"Oh I see… your hair and eyes do look like an elf's…"

I only said hidden land because some voice spoke in my head(maybe I'm going crazy) but- "Elf???"

"Was I mistaken? half beats were all captured as slaves, fairy's are rare due to the capturing, and you don't look like a dwarf… a merfolk perhaps?"

"No no! I am an elf for sure! haha…" did I enter some fantasy stuff?

"But why are you in the human territory? and this kingdom is quite far from the hidden land too." The lady with the club in her hands kept interrogating me while the other one kept fidgeting on the side.

"I…" did she say all half beasts and fairy's are caught as slaves? then some elves must be caught too, right??? "I was captured by slave traders, and was brought here to be sold until I escaped."

"Slave traders trying to sell elves?"

"I heard that's been getting popular, since half beats are all captured, and fairy's are almost all captured, they're looking for a new collection! the only creature appeasing to the eyes left are elves and spirits like nymphs or merfolk." The other one finally spoke.

I had this feeling that I'm not really an elf, more like… a half b-

*knock knock

For god's sake! stop cutting off my-

"Yes?" She went up to the door and opened it.

"We have a report that there's… someone from the hidden land hiding here." Right after the guard finished, she wrecked the guard's head with the club he was holding then yelled, "TAKE OUR EMERGENCY BAG AND RUN!!!"

The other one grabbed a medium sized suitcase and dragged me along with it.

We ran outside through the back door, the lady with the club caught up with us. "Jump now!"

"But what about this elf?" The one holding my arm said while pointing at me.

"We already saved him once by picking him up, ditch him!" She said as she pulled the other girl away from me and pushed her into the water. The other girl immediately rose up to the surface with a beautiful mermaid tail shimmering more than the waters around her reflecting the moonlight.

The club holding lady jumped after her, then they both disappeared only leaving riffles of water.

"Hold! Turn around stranger." One of the guards behind me yelled… oh sh*t
