18 Exams

"Yo Old-man."

Today was the day of the Chunin exams, I've prepared everything I had to do and right now.

I was at the Hokage's office so early in the morning I wanted to meet him one last time and extort him for the last time, whatever happens I won't care, I walked upside down when I entered from the window, even the ANBU were staring at me with disbelief.

"Yuki, you're awake, I see you've picked up Kakashi's habit."

I stopped reading The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi for awhile as I was invested in it at this point and looked at Hiruzen with a smile as I dropped down to face him.

"I want to learn more about Fuinjutsu."

"Perhaps this is the best time."

He stood up, took out a key, I wonder what's this for but I had a vague feeling.

"Promise me one thing Yuki."

"I'll do my best."

"Protect Konoha alright? And If no one is suitable to be Hokage, take the mantle, I've already prepared my will in advance for it to happen, of course that is in the condition when you've matured enough."

"Why did you choose me to be your successor, don't you have Asuma, Kakashi or even the Sannin to follow after you?"

I've always wanted to ask this, ever since he's learned of my talent and when I was younger he would often visit me and talk to me about jutsu and his expeditions basically his entire life story for the past weeks.

"I've failed countless geniuses in my lifetime already, some of which had died and betrayed the village."

"That's a fact."

"As much as I hate to hear that statement it is true, thus for one last time, I don't want to fail the village the last time and I know you would do anything to save your family as such I'm entrusting you with this."

"Your words sound like that of a dying man Old man."

"That key, show it to Asuma and he'll know, its where I hid the Uzumaki scrolls, I hid it in case someone from the Uzumaki lineage comes and is talented in fuinjutsu since no one came and seeing your talent, I'm giving everything to you as my last hope in correcting the things I've done."

"So I'm going to be assigned to be you janitor? Fine, I won't say I'll do it like you would but I promise."

"Good."

Hiruzen gave me the key and I nodded, I smiled at him.

"As much as I hate to say it old man, thanks for being like a kind grandpa to me even though you're biased and I hated the way you've handled things."

Hiruzen laughed and patted my shoulder, he then whispered something to me.

"The Crystal Ball is hidden under my desk."

"Like I would need it."

I rolled my eyes and left through the window, I promise to protect the village but I'll do it my way, like it or not old man your boyfriend will die.

"What do you think this time Yamato?"

Yamato who was disguised as an ANBU this time fell down to the floor and kneeled behind the Hokage.

"I'm confident he's nearing on the level of a Kage."

"You really think so?"

"Yes."

"Good, continue in your duties now I'm sure he'll be trying to find your face later on since he wants to see his Sensei for support."

"Yuki-kun!"

After that I went to the exam site where part one was to be held, right now I was reading Icha Icha to screw with Kakashi a little, I brought it along with Tales of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi.

"Ino."

I continued reading Icha Icha, somehow I do find it fun reading this, she looked over at what I was reading but I closed it, she didn't mind as she clung to my arm as usual.

"Is everyone here?"

I asked Ino who happily clung as we walked together.

"No, I arrived first since I wanted to spend more time with you."

"Is that so then let's go out after the exams."

I pinched her cheeks since it was too soft and I couldn't resist it, I then took out my wallet and gave her the copy of the photographs.

"It came out better than I thought!"

"What came out better?"

Shikamaru arrived along with Choji and Asuma who was smoking, Ino then hid the photograph on her pocket.

"None of your business!"

Shortly everyone arrived slowly while Ino was still clutching my arms and placed her face on my shoulders as I continued to read Icha Icha in front of everyone.

"Hinata."

Ino removed her arms from me as I went closer to Hinata, she smiled as I patted her head and gave her the photograph, she turned red after staring at it, Kurenai who was behind her saw it.

"You three really are close huh."

"Of course Kurenai-nee, we've been playmates for 8 years and counting."

Hinata immediately hid it inside her jackets afraid someone else would see it.

"Oh, and you think you're free huh."

"What do you- Ouch!"

Kurenai pinched my ear hard as she dragged me towards Kakashi, Kakashi who was startled immediately got pinched in the ear as well as she began berating us.

"You two really are brothers huh! Reading Icha Icha, what are you teaching to Yuki, Kakashi? And You why are you even reading that novel as young as you are!"

"We promise to not read it in public!"

After lecturing us for more than a minute we bowed in front of Kurenai to appease her anger as I know this won't be the end.

"YOUTH!

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura who was beside me after getting taught a lesson by Kurenai looked wryly at Guy and his team, I've known team Guy even after I stopped training under him.

They just nodded at me while I smiled at them, I then felt someone pinch my waist again and It was Ino.

"You're not smiling at that girl right?"

"I promise they're just friends Ino!"

"Hm!"

She then dragged me towards where Yamato Sensei was, he had just arrived and laughed, I allowed everyone to drag me today since I know after this event they all would lose a touch of innocence.

She then let me go when I arrived at Yamato's side, she then went to where her team was, I then took out Tales of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi again as I hid Icha Icha, and looked at Yamato who smiled.

"Good Luck Yuki."

"Watch me take first place in the entire exams."

He nodded and smiled, the more I thought about it, I guess I was lucky that Yamato was my sensei, he never taught me any Ninjutsu or any techniques for that matter but he did teach me how to restrain and be a good ninja.

When Ibiki arrived everyone began entering the classroom, I know this was a fake test, I saw Ino and Hinata sat next to me, even though I studied, since it was an exam I did study for abit and when I saw the questions.

'Isn't this a bit easy?'

I answered everything very fast, the rest were just bullshit questions like 'How many animals did Noah bring into the ark?' I just made a crazy estimate to which I doubt any would know, after only ten minutes.

'Huh? Is she trying to enter my mind?'

I looked at Ino who smiled, damn I don't want anyone to enter my mind, I looked at her and noticed that some Jonins were now looking at us, when our eyes met I casted 'Tsukuyomi' on her to show the answers and immediately cancelled it.

Inside of Tsukuyomi I programmed that I was the one giving her and the answers and the rationalization along with it.

I smiled and shook my head and pointed at the test paper, she looked at me and smiled she now knew the answers as she hurriedly wrote it, I doubt she couldn't memorize it since I made sure she was there for an hour.

Next I looked at Hinata who was at my other side, I wanted to laugh as she looked at me and gulped, I nodded at her, it was simple, I just stretched my arms upwards and let her see it.

She then copied it as fast as she could while I closed my eyes, after five minutes I stood up and passed the paper to Ibiki who was surprised I had finished it that fast, he then began checking and laughed at my answer

'Try harder in placing Jonins, even they don't know the actual answer and screw the tenth question, even I know I'm better at collecting information than most of your squad'

I wrote it and went outside, the Jonin Sensei's smiled and laughed when they saw I was the first one out, I then began reading Tales of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi, no one came near me as I sat on the railings like Kakashi would and began immersing myself.
