1 The important day

I was writing my diary as usual; sitting on my desk by the window. My friend was talking to her boyfriend... to be honest I am actually in love with her boyfriend, but I can't betray her. My best friend's name is Lily. I know it a very sweet and pretty name, however don't be fooled by her.

'Poppy! Are you listening to me?', Lily finally turns to me now. 'Don't you think Jake is being a little unrealistic?'. Jake is her boyfriend's name.

'Sorry... I don't know what you are talking about. What happened this time?', I say gently.

'So you weren't even listening to me!?! Am I a joke to you? I can't believe this!',she shouts and then walks away.

I don't take these arguments of ours seriously, because she comes back to me at the end anyways.

Jake suddenly appears in front of me and says, 'I'm sorry. I shouldn't have fought with Lily, if I didn't then you wouldn't have been shouted at by her. What can I do to make you feel better... Poppy?'

My heart is racing, I can't take this torture anymore! Why does he come to me and talk to me all the time?!? I must tell him today! I stand up and say, 'No, I don't want you to do anything for me...'

'Aww... look at you being shy! Don't worry I won't tell Lily...'I want him to hug me right now, I want him to kiss me too... but I can't. 'Poppy?', he holds my hand this time.

'You want to do something for me, am I right?'

'Yes... Poppy', why is he saying this in a seductive voice... wait a second, maybe he likes me!!

'Bye Lily!', I shout across the street.

'Bye', I'm pretty sure Lily's still angry.

I really feel bad for what happened, but this is her 3rd (ex) boyfriend for the month! It's really funny sometimes.

Honestly, I liked Jake way back in kindergarten but he na we liked me back he just acted like a friend towards me...

'What happened? Did we hit someone? Check who it is! If the person is badly injured send them to the hospital, okay?', I hear someone speaking. Did I just get run over by a car again? Oh my god! Dad's gonna kill me if he gets to know about this.

So, I try my best to get up but I'm only able to move my hand. 'Hey!', I hear someone walking towards me now. 'Stop moving okay?', he appears in front of my face, 'You are just worsening the situation'.

I'm finally able to see clearly again but I'm instantly blinded when I see the person in front of me. He is the definition of handsome...

He's about 185 cm, he has dark black hair, and he's also wearing a suit.

'Let me go', I say while I'm getting up. It hurts everywhere but I'm used to it now.

He holds me back but I run away, trying my best to reach home in time.

As soon as I see dad, I know I'm in trouble. He stares at me, his eyes are piercing. He rushes towards me and then hold my hair up violently and drags me by my hair. He slaps me again and again. It's like I don't feel pain anymore.

'You b*tch! How dare you disobey me!', he yells at me.

'I... what did I do Dad?', I ask as calm as possible.

'Oh! Now you're back answering too! You're mum has spoilt you too much! I feel like I should've asked her to abort you! You were a huge mistake! You never even acknowledge the fact that I am earning so less but I am still giving you food! B*tch!'.

'I'm sorry dad, I'll never disobey you again'.

He calms down and hugs me, 'Good girl'.

I go into my room and do my homework, I also apply some medicine to my wounds.

This is my normal day, Dad always hits me and then-

'B*tch come here!', it's my dad again, what's he going to tell me this time.

I walk out calmly and I am instantly shocked. 'Dad... let me explain okay?'
