3 Chapter 3

Slowly i became used to the two towering beings, being oh so close by and bit bit i started getting more comfortable around them. But... Did it really matter? Looking at first one and then the other i wasn't quiet sure what to do about them just yet. Did they have names? Do I have a name? Where are we even? It looks kind of like a cave entrance, somewhere in a forest. Lushious green trees stand in front of us, illuminated by the sun as it slowly travels down.

I turned back towards my parent, the one that lays around me and stumbling a little around, nudging and prodding "It" a little with my nose. I have to admit... Since i started being able to see life turned out a whole lot more fun but i really need some sort of system for this!

I took a deep breath, wanting to vent my frustration with a big sigh but... I... What? I took another deep breath, thinking deeply about it before turning around and waddling on my four unsteady legs towards my other parent, crawling ontop of my siblings and sure enough, there was the clear distinction between the two. Mother and father. Another big breath, letting the air linger in my nose brought me a surprising amount of information. It felt as if the scent of my mother and father were similar, yet decidingly distinct, making it easier to differentiate them by scent then by looks alone. I continued on by trying to memories the invidual scent of all 4 of my siblings.

Looking back out of the cave entrance I could see the sun slowly start to settle and even with all I still wanted to do, I could start to feel the drowzyness washing over me and bit by bit i started to fall asleep ontop of the pile with all my siblings.

The next day came quickly, only interrupted by a small midnightsnack together with my siblings and I fully inteded to make complete use of today! I started to wiggle waggle forward, looking down at my own paws, trying to slowly get the hang of how to move around but all of a sudden the ground under my paws just dissapeared! I paniked and struggled and yipped and squeals before the world around my got jerked around and i faced the cave again. Looking around I couldn't quite make out what was happening but as I suddenly was let back down I realized that I was just picked up and carried away! I turned around looked up and even tho father is big and imposing, thats not okay!! I tried my best to voice my protest but all that came out were tiny little barks that were most likely nowhere near intimidating and instead made me look closer to a little squeaky toy.

Upset I turned around, planing to punish father by ignoring him and plan to explore the cave a little closer. I could certainly walk a little better if i concentrated on my movement but at the same time I wanted to know more about my surroundings! I slowly waddled forwards, shaking silly from side to side while my head kept jerking up and down, from my feet to whatever was around me at the time but... there really isn't all that much to find in a cave... at least that is what I thought until I stumbled upon a ditch, filled to the very brim with bones of various sizes and shapes.

[Ehhh?]
