29 Catherine’s Information!

"Am I staying in my room for 500 years without knowing it? Impossible!" Mikhail started to analyze his hometown situation.

"The strangest thing is how could I do not know when the world's apocalypse happened in front of my own door?" Mikhail keeps thinking while rubbing his glabella.

"There are too many oddities in this incident at my hometowns such as my own unscathed house amongst all the buildings in the town, electricity that still running after 500 years, and many more. But the most suspicious of it all should be…" In Mikhail's mind, all of these clues are pointing toward his grimoire but he decided to restrain his curiosity for now and decided to ask about it after he came back to his room.

The most important right now is not what happened in the past but the present situation of this current world. Without the current world's proper information, they are no different from a blind man that goes traveling around the world. It would not be funny if they accidentally traveling into the middle of world war IV's battlefield or something, right?

Mikhail began questioning Catherine once again about many things and manages to gain much useful information from her.

First information is about money. The least valuable one is copper coins, several copper coins are only enough for kids to buy a candy with it.

1,000 copper coins are equal to a bronze coin and several bronze coins are enough to eating and drinking at the tavern.

1,000 bronze coins are equal to a silver coin and several silver coins are enough for booking a room at the inn.

1,000 silver coins are equal to a gold coin and several gold coins are enough to buy a house in the blue city.

1,000 gold coins are equal to a platinum coin and one platinum coin is already enough to buy a large mansion in the blue city.

When Mikhail's hearing this, he's almost coughing one mouthful blood because he is already wasting three precious gold coins in one day. Moreover, one normal level origin core could only be traded with one silver coin so in other words he already wasted 3,000 normal level origin cores today!

Fortunately, Mikhail already knows about this now if not he would continue to waste the rest of the gold coins like using small change every day.

Second information is about the world's apocalypse, origin beasts, and other races.

More than five hundred years ago, there are a giant hole appeared on the sky at the center of the world map, gigantic flames broke out from inside that giant hole creating a huge crimson pillar incinerated every island and every continent below it to the cinder.

The shockwave of this incident makes earth's tectonic plates shifted and creating the gigantic tsunami that gave a devastating blow to all humanity and our civilization nearly extinct.

As though everything is not enough, from the giant hole in the sky there are countless evil races that come down to our planet and they began to hunting all humans down.

Origin energy that entered through that giant hole also began to transform almost all of the beasts in our planet evolve into origin beasts making all human's survivor harder and harder to survive.

Fortunately, not all races that came from the giant hole are evil. Some of them such as elf, dwarf, gnome, and many others are kind enough to help humans to survive.

All of these races and humanity then created an alliance called United Alliance and even right now are still at war with all evil races.

Catherine is still not quite sure about this war and races story since she only hears it from her customer but she gave a name card to Mikhail and tell him that if he wants to know the detail he should searching the information broker on that name card.

The third information and the last one are about that fat guy that rode the golden carriage. It turns out that he is the Blue City' Lord. In every city, the one that holds the highest authority is the City Lord.

Origin energy that contained on the air is blocking all signal waves making it impossible to communicate through telephone, radio, television, etc. The only way to send news and report is through letter like ancient age.

City Lord's job is to supervise their own city and report any development, news, or incident that happening to the capital city.

The previous City Lord is a very wise lord that is why Blue City could be flourished like now. Unfortunately, he has been passed away last year and the one replaces him are his spoiled arrogant son, Ron Rudolf. Only one year that fatty Ron reigning over the Blue City but almost half of the city turned into slum now.

After Mikhail got all the information he needs from Catherine, Mikhail said his farewell to her then walked back to his inn on the alley.

"That fatty Ron's name, why did it seems familiar? Well, forget about it. For now, I need to go back to my room first. And you need to explain everything to me in detail, grimoire!" Mikhail walking faster while talked to Grimoire.

The sky began to turn dark when Mikhail arrived back at the shabby inn. He is heading straight to his room and locked the door immediately.

"Okay, now there is only the two of us here! Spill everything that you know now before I lost my patience!" Mikhail threatened grimoire.
