10 Missions

As I talked to her, everyone in the room flinched and Anna stared at me with a surprised look, not expecting me to talk to her.

Which makes me wonder, what's so bad about her that makes everyone avoid her?

Anna opened her mouth and said. "You shouldn't talk to me."

Why?

"Why?"

Anna blinked twice and replied. "You don't know?"

"Should I?"

Anna looks at me confused, but then a second later she sighs. "It's better if you don't know, also don't talk to me again."

This girl is weird, but I'd be a fool to accept her words, she doesn't seem to hate me or anything.

"Nah, I'd like to continue talking to you unless you don't really want to," I said gently.

"...." Anna didn't answer, which means it's fine.

"So, I guess that's a yes, pleased to be your acquaintance then!" I grinned at her.

Then our professor arrived and everyone went to their respective tables, before the class started our professor called our names for a daily attendance check.

A few minutes later, my name was called by our professor.

"Here, sir!"

Our professor was surprised that I'm back, so he lifted his glasses and spoke. "Mr. Robinson, I'm certainly surprised to see you here today... aren't you supposed to be..?"

"Long story sir, but as you can see I got cured." After replying, his expression was in shock.

Of course...his reaction was expected, after all, no one could have predicted that I would be cured of cancer.

And if you're wondering why my classmates don't know that I have cancer. I asked the principal to keep it a secret from everyone, and my reason for keeping it private?

It's pretty dumb. I didn't want my friends to worry about me, which is kind of selfish and idiotic even for me, but then again I wasn't sane enough to think about it back then.

So that's why in their perspective I left school because of what happened between me and my ex.

And not because I have cancer, pretty damn convenient if you ask me.

"T-that's quite a story...I mean I didn't think it was possible.." He said in a tone of disbelief.

"Yeah, it's a miracle..but sir shouldn't you start the class now?" I changed the subject because it's better if they don't know about my cancer and how it got cured.

But I wasn't foolish enough to think that I would be able to hide it forever, after all, I'm very popular in the medical field, due to my miracle blood as the doctors called it.

It's a surprise that they don't know about that, and because of that, I didn't bring the subject.

"Oh, y-yes of course...okay class we'll continue our discussion yesterday and you Mr. Robinson you should borrow some notes from your classmates so that you can catch up."

"I'll do that sir." I nodded, then I looked at Anna with an innocent smile, she was my seatmate how convenient honestly.

"You heard our professor, can I borrow some notes?" I didn't think I'd have the excuse to talk to her again, it was a completely reasonable one.

Anna just silently looked at me, before she gave me her notebook for this subject. I grinned and said. "Thanks, I owe you for this."

"I don't need it," Anna replied with a flat tone.

"Really? Too bad I insist."

Then I heard Anna mumble. "You'll surely change after knowing who I am... everyone does.."

I wasn't sure what she meant by that, but I didn't ponder too deeply. I looked at her notebook and her writing was so clean that it's like a printer who wrote it rather than an actual person!

It was also organized too...damn there are even some marks to know that this particular sentence is important, with this I'll easily catch up with the rest of my class!

I really do owe her for this, I'm really lucky that I borrowed from her rather than my friends, not to be rude simply honestly, their writing style was like a doctor's signature.

Too damn hard to understand.

All of a sudden I felt like someone was watching me outside the window. I shifted my gaze outside and I didn't see anyone.

"Weird...I definitely felt like someone was watching me…" I mumbled.

A moment later, I decided to Ignore it.

About a kilometer away from that school, a person wearing a professional uniform lay in the ground with a Barrett M90.

"Oh? That kid is interesting, he felt that I'm watching him, anyway I shouldn't be distracted. I will continue to watch the young mistress from any potential threat…"

Then the person continued watching using the Barrett M90.

Time has passed, I've managed to borrow notebooks for most of the subjects from Anna and it was worth it.

I've learned a significant amount of information that I missed from every subject today.

The alarm clock of the school rang, meaning they can finally go home, but as for me. I still have to treat my boys to McDonald's.

"Hey, Blake, let's go, you still owe us a meal from McDonald's!"

"Yeah, what are you waiting for?" Both of my friends urge me to go now.

"Hold on a moment. I won't run away from treating you guys. I need to do something." I replied and slowly approached Anna who was arranging her things.

One of my friends whispered in a nervous tone. "Idiot! What are you doing..?!"

I ignored his whisper and arrived at Anna's table. Just a few hours ago I saw her eating alone in the canteen because everyone was avoiding her like a plague. I wanted to invite her to eat with us but I was stopped by Micheal saying that they should start eating already.

But not this time, no interruptions. I want to invite her to eat with us at McDonald's. I know both of us weren't that close, basically, we are more strangers than an acquaintance but I want that to change by doing this.

Anna noticed my presence and she frowned. I did my best to ignore her expression and said. "Say, do you want to hang out with us in McDonald's? My treat?"

Anna looked at me like she couldn't believe what I just said, then her gaze shifted toward my friends, and said. "No, I have better things to do. Goodbye."

After saying that, she left the classroom, and then my friends instantly approached me and started shaking my body.

"Dude! Are you out of your mind?! You want to invite her?! Tell me honestly, are you interested in dating her because she's beautiful and hot?!"

I frowned at his accusation and replied. "While it's true she's beautiful, it doesn't mean I'm interested in dating her, so don't say that. I'm genuinely curious about her, and I want her as a friend."

My friend shook his head and said. "If that's your plan then you better give up then, trust me many tried and they didn't have a good ending!"

I raised my brows at him and replied. "Look it's not like I don't believe you or anything, I'll just try okay? I don't want to judge someone just because of some pity rumors."

Then he sighs and says, "Alright, Mr don't say that I didn't warn you!"

After that the 3 of us went to the McDonald's to eat a meal, Micheal and Dennis tried to empty my wallet but too bad for them I'm packing with cash today!

Too bad for them!

Then after the meal in McDonald's, the 3 of us separated ways and I went home riding a bus.

On my way from home, suddenly the group chat app sent me a notification bell, quickly I opened it and saw.

[ Details: A system user was detected from the Demon Slayer Universe Type FFF, given time the system user would destroy the balance of that universe. Eliminate or take the system from the user. ]

[ Participants: 5 people ]

[ Rewards: 1,000 points for each participant and a random skill. ]

[ Mission #2 ]

[ RWBY Universe ]

[ Danger Level: F ]

[ Details: An Evil Reincarnator was detected from the RWBY Universe Type Multiplayer, if the Reincarnator was not stopped, he would conquer the Remnant and ultimately destroy the balance of the said universe. ]

[ Participants: 4 people ]

[ Rewards: 1,000 points for each participant and a random skill. ]

[ Mission #3 ]

[ Fate Universe ]

[ Danger Level: D ]

[ Details: A highly dangerous system user was detected from the Fate Universe Type Capital D, the user wanted a harem of Saber-faced servants and other unknown plans must be stopped before the said universe balance would be broken. ]

[ Participants: 2 people ]

[ Rewards: 10,000 points for each participant and a random skill along with a magic item treasure box. ]

[ Note: The administrator would receive a random support item from each mission. ]

'It's finally here..' I thought, now it was time for us to discuss which mission we'll do first.
