1 Meet Me

Hello?

Anybody there?

Somebody?

....

Oh hey, didn't notice you there. I'm Chris Everwald. Oh, and I'm 29.

Good thing you stopped by, I've been wanting someone to hear this story of mine.

Care to listen?

Yeah? Cool, I appreciate that.

Well, I've almost died just 6 hours ago.

No, no, no, I'm not making you pity me. I'm through with the grief, you know?

....

I know, everyone's got problems, but you're not here to know about mine, are you?

Oh, you never mentioned anything about problems? My bad. Actually, it was me trying to take my life.

....

Have I got your attention? Great.

Let's start.

As I said, let's not talk about my problems.

Or maybe we will, you'll stick around anyways.

I wasn't born with problems, not at all. I was content with what I had, always spreading smiles like a total clown.

But....

All it took was one snap....

To turn my life upside down.

This beast... It's... Scary.

June 13, 5 days before my birthday, also 10 years ago.

I was having the time of my life. Partying like there was no tomorrow, girls were all over the place, and the amount of drugs was something you could only ever imagine.

Euphoria.

It was all euphoric....

Or so I thought.

Blood.

In the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the guest room, in the master's bedroom....

Blood was everywhere.

How did this happen?

No one knows.

Why am I the only one left?

No one knows.

Apparently, a day has passed.

Was it the drugs? Was it really murder? Why? Who?

Fuck them questions.

I looked for my phone, all over these corpses, if I may add. Damn, I can't even recognize these faces.

A couple minutes and finally, a phone. Not mine, but it works.

Who was I gonna call?

Police? Then what? I get arrested for being alive?

What was I gonna say?

No, I can't be thinking about these questions that time.

All I knew was there's blood everywhere.

Blood on my hands, blood on my shirt, blood on my face....

This is hell.

Well, atleast I believed it is.

The house started twisting itself. The lights were getting darker. The bodies started to blur.

It was me passing out.

Finally, a temporary break from that living hell.
